I too gert the hiccups when I'm done. It is annoying not to be able to have a drink to get rid of them, but I quite like them really! xx

I'm 50 and was sleeved two and a half weeks ago. There is nothing but good about getting this done, even as a 'vintage' person. I'm already off three of my five hypertension meds and my asthma is also slightly improved. I'm hoping that this will also help all my joint and back pains too. If life is worth having, it's worth living it xx

Make sure you are doing a walk every so often, it really helps. Well done you for coming home the same day - I cannot imagine doing that. Good luck xx

Hi Nicola, I'm also from the UK and was sleeved on February 27th. I was back at the hospital to have my surgical clips removed on Friday and asked when I can have a bath. They said at least another week. My surgeon has us on liquids for the first fortnight and then on to purees until twelve weeks. I've had two days on purees so far and it's going well. I'm only eating small amounts, but not hungry at all. Don't seem to be doing much in the way of weight loss - although I've managed to lose 12kg since the beginning of my pre-op diet. I'm totally with you about feeling cold. I'm going nowhere with out my hot water bottle! Keep in touch xx

Anyone come home the same day?
tiaras replied to LyndaRN's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am in the UK and had my op on the NHS. I went in on the Saturday morning and had the surgery that day. I came home on the Wednesday and it wasn't a minute too early. I was in a private room and it was really good to know that there was someone to keep an eye on how things were going. -
Hi - can anyone suggest any books?
tiaras replied to tiaras's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Hi, thanks for the warm welcome. There's nothing specific at the moment (all though I'm sure there will be!) it just irritates me slightly that all th books I've bought about WLS have really only covered bands or bypasses. Sleeves really seem to get very little mention. xx
