You are doing great and I bet you will lose while you are off of your feet. I severed a tendon a year ago (before my sleeve) and my weight dropped unexpectedly. I believe you will be pleasantly surprised. If not...hey you will lose this weight, step by step is what I tell myself every day.

You give me hope...I have not seen a loss in 8 days....I keep telling my self that it has to eventually move. So happy for you

Thank you for helping my heart. This is just so new and the encouragement really helps. I am determined to hold the coarse, but this has been frustrating after such a good start. I keep hearing this little voice in my head saying that this has failed too...silly me.

I am only 5 weeks out and have lost 38 pounds but haven't seen the scale move all week. Is that unusual this early on?

I am loving baked sweet potato with a little artificial sweetener. I am a southern girl so I love my grits and scrambled egg. Chicken salad and egg salad are good too. broiled fish that is soft is also a good choice...even ate at Bonefish with my hubby and brought leftovers home for dinner the next night. Good luck. It really is fun after liquids only.

Connie- we are close in our surgery dates... my sleeve was done on feb 25. I think you are doing great. I love the fact that I don't see my stomach before my boobs when I look down. We are going to do this...steady and sure. Best of luck and stay in touch.

Dear Lan2K I was just reading through some of the forums and came across your prayer before surgery and the scripture about plucking out your eye if it offends you. I had resisted surgery for years, but one morning very quietly the Lord whispered the same verses to my heart. I thought people would think I was nutty, but it was very real. What a joy to read your account using the same stuff. Thank you. I am still a bit afraid this "won't work" but am dedicated to giving it my best and resting in the knowledge that it was the right path for me. Thank you for the encouragement B

Yes, thanks Tiff. I loved this site. Bookmarked it too. B -
I had my sleeve on February 25. I have lost 36 pounds- 8 were preop. I have 104 to go to reach my modest goal. May want to do more at that point. this has been easier than I thought, but it still seems like a dream and I expect the weight loss to just stop even if I am doing the right things. Just hard to wrap your mind around when you have tried and succeeded before, only to gain back. The sleeve however gives me hope that I have never had before. I enjoy reading the forums very much. Thank you all for your support and kindness. B

i had my surgery February 25 and I have lost 32 pounds- 22 since the surgery and 10 preop. I am doing well, just starting on more soft solids like tuna and chicken salad. Good to hear from other people just getting started.

Hi. I had my surgery 2 weeks ago and have done tremendously. No pain, easy to eat, felt great. Today after work and keeping my grands for my daughter i am completely washed out I just want to crawl into bed and stay there a long time. But we have the two year olds birthday party tomorrow. I hope this is temporary. When did you all start on soft protein. I feel ready and like this would help.

Today after work and keeping my grands for my daughter i am completely washed out I just want to crawl into bed and stay there a long time. But we have the two year olds birthday party tomorrow. I hope this is temporary. When did you all start on soft protein. I feel ready and like this would help.

I am really so impressed with your story. What a wonderful journey. And I believe you will come to terms with the cookies. Your progress helps me be hopeful. I am only 2 weeks out of surgery and wanting this to work so much. Good for you. You are a hero. -
I started back to work today...administrative in an adult day care. Loved getting back to what i love but tired a little easily. Am two weeks post op tommorrow. drinking and eating pudding and potatoes is too easy for me....i can't help being scared that i could just keep on eating, even though I am following instructions and taking 30 minutes or more to finish 2 oz. of creamed food or 1 cup of liquid. My doctor assures me that if I ate fast or more i would know i couldn't. Maybe i should just try to stop this crazy worry. years and years of having success and gaining back has made me worry that this isn't going to work either. Is that crazy? any councel out there? another thing- when did you start soft protein like tuna or salmon? I started my journey at 300 pounds and now I am at 276 so I am happy with that, but just afraid I will just stop losing. I probably needed to get back to work:001_smile:

Thanks, I know i sound crazy. I am worried about stretching my sleeve because I can eat and drink.....is that possible at all sipping fluids and eating 1/4 cup portions.

Nicolab3ll-Thank you for responding. It helps to know i am not alone. Hope I learn how to use this sight more efficiently soon.

I was sleeved a week and one day ago. I have the opposite problem. I feel great and now I am worried that "it hasn't worked" I am not hungry, but have no problem eating or drinking or holding down pills. My biggest challenge is making 1/4 cup of cream soup last 30 minutes. Please tell me if this is normal. I am going by guidelines and eating according to plan, I am just so worried that my stomach is still there. I know this sounds crazy. And I have lost 15 pounds this week. Crazy. I am scared.:crying:

This is my first post to but have enjoyed reading it a while. I am 9 days post op. No cravings really. Feel satisfied with food and not at all hungry. My problem is making 1/4 of cream soup last for 30 minutes as instructed. Help me with this. I know eating slow is important, but this is very challenging to me. :crying:
