  1. If you crash diet, you could lose it fast, and then possibly gain it before you surgery. I would think if you could use some protein shakes/drinks to help curb hunger, and keep you full longer that may give you more success. Also, steer clear of white carbs. They can cause hunger and cravings. So, try to stick to protein foods, meats, cheese, greek yogurt, salads (to get some fiber so you don't get constipated), grill or bake chicken breasts use them for chicken salad, or make a thick stew with veggies other than potatoes.

If you want potatoes, try a baked sweet potato. I hated them pre-op, but they actually are really great and full of vitamins.

I know it's tough to lose pre-op, but you can do it.

Hang in there. Once you get the sleeve, it will be much easier.

  2. Thanks very much for your reply! Right now I'm struggling with losing the weight pre-surgery. I just can't get full no matter what I do :( I'm 245 now and, in theory my surgery will be in July. Would it be a terrible thing to do a crash diet just to get down 15lbs before surgery, you think?

    Cheers,

  3. Hey there, and thank you.

As for the skin, oh believe me, I have plenty of it. But, it is rebounding nicely. In that dress, honestly, all I have on underneath is a pair of hipster panties. I still have a small fat roll, little pooch on my lower abdomen, but I've learned to accept it. My boobs are shot to hell, and I will have breast implants. I will also have a tummy tuck after I have another c-section. I do have kind of wrinkly skin on my upper inner thighs, and honestly it doesn't bother me. I still have flabby arms, and that's why I wear shrugs/bolero type garments with sleeveless/tanks. In reality, my body is pretty "droopy" as my husband says, but like I tell everyone that asks me, I wouldn't trade in the body I have now for the body I had at 270lbs, well except for my boobs LOL. I do miss my boobs, and actually hate them right now, but nothing that a great push up bra can't conceal when I have on clothes.

Best wishes, and if you need anything, let me know.

    Tiff

  4. Every time I visit this forum I see your name! You are so helpful to everyone and your achievement are just amazing. I have to ask, and feel free to tell me to shove it, but you haven't had/had the need for cosmetic surgery after so much weight lost? I was looking at the picture you posted recently and I'm thinking to myself, when I have my surgery there's no way the amount of weight I hope to lose will leave me with a body that can wear a dress like that. I expect my extra skin will leave me almost as big looking as I am now :( Boo.
