Hi again. Yup the 50lbs came back off pretty quickly after my surgery. I tried to be careful and watch what I ate but the pounds just packed on. My husband was amazed how fast it came on. We were both dieting and he was losing and I was gaining. Hang in there. It will get better. Take a walk now and then and DON'T stress eat! Laura -

Same thing happened to me. I got the band out then waited 6 weeks for my vertical sleeve. I happened to gain about 50lbs during that time. It was amazing how the weight piled on so quickly. I was exercising and watching what I was eating. Though I did enjoy lots of fruit. It had been a long time since I could eat fruit and enjoy it. It will happen! Laura -
Question on the unflavored proteins
lllueck12 replied to Anitabsleeved's topic in Food and Nutrition
I use the unflavored unjury Protein. I also add DaVinci flavored syrups to it to make different flavors, i.e. vanilla, strawberry etc. That works okay for me. Laura -
Good Morning everyone! I have a question for you all. I get stomach aches after I eat, almost every time. Is this normal? I did have a bout of pneumonia about a week after surgery and I was loaded with antibiotics. I thought I might need to eat some yogurt to get the normal bacterial flora back into my gut. Thanks for the help! Laura

Hi everyone I had a Lapband placed in 2003. It prolasped 2009 or maybe earlier but my husband noticed that I wasn't eating right - A little piece of steak than a bowl of ice cream and Cookies or something like that. That got me watching and thinking and I saw I wasn't doing things correctly or the bandster way. I saw my doc - hence the prolapse. We tried the unfill then fill and still found my stomach going up into my band. So December 30th I had my band removed and then February 9th had the sleeve done. I am on phase 2 of the docs diet - soft and liquid foods now and for the next 3 weeks (till my next appt). I am handling the foods okay, not eating much which is pretty cool. Even though I was exercising I still packed on ~30 lbs in between the band and the sleeve, while the hubby was losing. Not Fair! Anyway I remember that sensation of fullness when I got my band. Will the feeling of fullness be about the same for us? If you eat too much or too fast do you get that nausea feeling? I tried sipping Water kinda quickly and after about 1/2 glass full I got nauseaus. I'm assuming this is normal? Any help would be appreciated. What does that fullness sensation feel to you? Thanks Laura 9 days out!
