  1. Hey Wendy, nice to hear from you. I hope you are well. How is the weight loss going for you??

I haven't been on here very much either. Too busy as well.

    Terri

  2. Hi Terry. Your pictures are awesome. Good for you girl! Glad everything went well for you! I haven't been on here lately. I am not on the computer much in the summer time. I wanted to post pics too but can't seem to figure it out. Or find the time to sit down and figure it out. Well take care and happy losing! :)

    Tomatoes after VSG?

I am seven weeks out and I eat tomatoes all the time. Seeds skin and all with no trouble at all. As with any food I just make sure to chew them well.

    1 year out today

Way to go Tiff! You are an inspiration to us all! You look great!
  5. Hi Terri,

Sorry I didn't answer you. I don't get notified of visitor messages by my email. Just private messages. I have been doing well. I have been busy since last Friday. I made 7 Saskatoon pies and 2 dozen butter tarts on Friday for a Spring Market and tea that a group i belong to put on. It sucks big time to make all those pies and tarts and not be able to have one little wee taste. lol But I survived. I just got back from Calgary today. Was there a few days for docs. appointments. Eating cream soups, applesauce, and protein shakes now. Mmmm I found a protein shake I actually love. Tastes like melted ice cream. :) So glad to hear you have a date for surgery. You must be so darn relieved. Now the worry will set in. lol. Well you take care Terri and maybe we will talk in VSG chat.

    See you.

    Wendy

  6. Hey girl, haven't heard from you lately. Thinking about you and hoping all is well.

I just got my surgery date. I'm scheduled for June 14th.

  7. Hi Wendy. Haven't heard from you lately. Hope you are doing well. Can't wait to hear an update from you.

I just got insurance approval today. I should hear about a surgery date in the next few days.

    Post Op Abdominal Swelling

I am the same way! I am one week out today. My smarty pants son told me I looked more pregnant now than I did before. Needless to say I almost knocked his block off! I have lost about 10 pounds since surgery and my pants are just as tight! Wendy
  9. I shall have to look for this at the grocery. I have never noticed it before. My guess is that we probably can't get it in Alberta. As with so many other things you guys get in US that we don't have . That's why I am happier than a coonhound on a bare leg that the dollar is finally close to par 'cause I get to go shopping in Great Falls again in the summer!
  10. Hi Wendy. Hope you are doing well. I haven't been around this week. My grandmother passed away and I went home for the funeral. Was away almost a week. Can't wait to catch up with you and everyone. - My son's jazz band concert is tonight, so it will probably be tomorrow before I get back on. FINALLY all of the paperwork was faxed to the insurance company on 4/29. They have up to 30 days to respond, so I'll know by 5/29 if I'm approved.

Thanks for checking in on me.

    Terri

  11. Hey Wendy - yes I went to Mexicali. I'm two weeks out. Down 20 lbs this morning.

I know exactly what you mean about pictures. The sad part for me is that I have three kids under six and I am in very few pictures. I have essentially removed myself from their photo history. If anything ever happened to me, they would have virtually no recent pictures.

When are you going to Mexico?

  12. :thumbup:You will be the Belle of the ball my dear! Very nice post girlie. You are a true inspiration!
  13. Well it's so hard to believe I go home tomorrow! All the things I was worried about seem so far away now. lol I cannot believe how easy this has been so far. A little pain but nothing that has not been manageable. I cannot however crush my pills and swallow them. It makes me gag so bad! I might just have to not take them for a while. I have an appointment Monday for my PCP so I will chat with him about it. I even hate those darn sublingual pills you have to put under your tongue. They gag me. Oh well. Better days ahead. In those size 14 jeans!
  14. Hi Wendy, Did you go to Mexicali for your surgery too? Thanks for the nice comment you left about my picture. I have had to force myself to smile while so overweight. I hate having my picture taken. I am hoping to change that. lol

    Now I'm Worried!

I am in Mexico right now as we speak. I got my sleeve done on Tuesday. Now if it was a bogus surgery I would still be hungry would I not? And I am not hungry at all. If you could meet Dr. Aceves and his staff you would not feel this way. They are top notch professionals. And I saw my sleeve on the xray today and watched the contrast go down the sleeve. And the pain I have felt is more from gas pains. Plus there are no nerves in your stomach to make you feel like you just had 3/4 of it cut out. It's for real trust me.
