So, it was you! You stole my mid-morning timeframe! hehe. I'm going first on the 21st at 8am, check-in time is 7am, I think. What are the odds of that, hehe! Maybe I'll see ya on the way out. Course, I doubt I'll be able to focus on much of anything on the way out, heh. Does he have you on a 2 week liquid diet, too? If so, how's it going? I'm finding that it's not really hunger that gets me, it's just a general desire to chew on something. So the Jello and popsicles help a lot there.

Sorry it's been so long since I've posted. It's been a hectic few weeks. My husband and I are scheduled for the 21st and 22nd of May! We're on day two of our 2 week liquid diet. We also quit smoking yesterday, so we've got a double whammy. It's been rough, but we're doing our best. I'm feeling excited for the surgery, but also a pleathora of other emotions including self-doubt and some anxiety. Here's hoping my husband and I can make ourselves into success stories!

Yes, I definitely plan on being much more involved in the support community as soon as I possibly can. I do realize how important it is and as I want to be sucessful, it's important for me to make the commitments necessary to be sucessful. I'll let you know, but we may be interested in attending the OH Support groups as well. Are they topic oriented each time, or is it just kind of general each time?

SElaine, That's actually pretty close to us. We're just down the street on McQueen. I don't think we'll be going to the support meetings for a bit. I do want to go eventually, but we're both in our last semester of college so it's crunch time for us! I think once we graduate at the end of this month we'll be able to focus more on the task at hand. How about you? Have you gone to any of them yet? I've been wondering how they are. Ewa, First off, you seem to be doing pretty well after surgery, congrats! I didn't realize you were so soon after op. What kind of groups are you going to? Were they through your surgeon's office or something else?

Ewa, Thanks! I've got my mom and my sister who both graciously offered to come over and help us. I'm hoping we won't need them, but it does make me feel better to know they're there. I'm hoping for may, so I'll let you know how it went. SElaine, We're finishing up our process and I'm hoping for May as well. We went for our first appt on March 9th. My husband just had his upper GI today. I'm just waiting on the Well Woman exam. (blech) We both just need PCP clearance and we're all set for pre-op. How's the food plan coming? My biggest worry was soda. I love my diet DP. But, I haven't had a soda, or any carbonation for that matter, since the 9th. It's actually surprising to me because I don't miss it. What I miss is having my drinks convientiently prepared for me in advance. :Banane01: Congrats on following everything so well, though! We live in Chandler, but work pretty near to the WLIA, so it worked out pretty well. So far I'm pretty pleased. Everyone at the WLIA has been so supportive and helpful. Thanks for offering! You know the same goes for you. Where are you located? It sounds like we might be getting banding around the same time, but if I'm able I'd be happy to help out if you need it. I definitely think that the more support you can build up, the better your outcome will be.

Thanks for the feedback. I really appreciate it. It turns out we can't both go same day, but we can one day after another. So we'll make sure we have a ride for both of us. Here's hoping we're on the not so bad side of pain. I'm a wimp.
