Thanks for the info. Wow! I think it's great that you're fighting and that they are willing to fight with you. Hopefully you get approved. I chose the sleeve because it didn't involve any malabsorption. That's what scares me - all the side effects and such and not being able to absorb certain medicines, etc. And if it came down to it where I had to absolutely choose, I'd skip on the bypass and go for the duodenal switch - which is basically the sleeve with an intestinal reroute and not as many side effects as the bypass.

How much is the surgery in Mexico? I hadn't done much research just because I didn't think I could afford it. I know it's like pennies on the dollar compared to the cost here. I've read others' stories about how wonderful their experience was.
