I can relate! Except I am tight in the morning and thru the afternoon it gets better. At dinner I can eat anything if I eat slow enough and chew!

Let me tell you that I was laying in the hospital bed in the holding room just an hour before surgery and I so wanted to get the hell out of there. It was going thru my head that maybe I made the wrong decision as well. I have lot 37# and I can't describe how much better I feel already. I think most of us have these feelings! Good Luck.

I can usually eat anything I make for my family. I can't eat breakfast because I'm to tight. So I still have protein shakes. The food I have had the most problems with has been chicken. Sometimes I can eat dark meat chicken alittle better than white. Eggs are also a hit or miss food.

I have made this several times now and my family loves it. I use the hot wing sauce and just pull out a couple of pieces for our 4yr old (without the sauce). I eat this all the time because it goes down so well. Thanks for this recipe.

They told me if I could go p** that he would not put it in. So right before they wheeled me into surgery they had taken me potty and stood outside and waited for me to go. Thank God I went!!

I just make mine with tomatoes, beans, chicken and Homemade Gourmet Chili Seasoning along with Tom. juice. I then use an imersion blender (sp) and blend away. I then add some ff sourcream and lowfat cheddar. I like it, you still get the chili flavor, you just don't have to chew that much!

1 week after surgery I was walking thru the kitchen and my wedding ring flew off my hand! I think I will just tye a string around it to keep it on. No need to get it sized yet because I'm just getting started!! -

Isopure is a good choice for clear protein. It has 40 grams! They have lots of flavors and can be purchased at GNC. -

My Dr. said to add 3 tbl spoons of powered milk to anything I have just to boost my protein. It just makes things creamier. I think it adds 4.5 gr protein. Does not taste bad at all. -

I was just banded Monday. I to have had terrible gas pains. I also did the gas x strips. They did not really help at all. That makes since because its not intestinal gas!! But I tried it anyway. I'm finally feeling better today so it just takes time. I hope you feel better soon. -
I was just banded on Monday! I have not had a problem with acid. My Dr. gave a script for Pepcid to take for 3 months. I have heard of other people on this site having that problem, seems very common. wishing you well!!

Hi KarenIN, I just had surgery on the 24th of March. It is nice to see another person from NWI. Dr. Stanish is awesome as well as his staff. I have not made it to a meeting yet but I am going to go in April. Keep us informed! Good Luck! -

I was banded this morning at 8am. I was at home by 3pm. Not really in pain just having problems with gas pressure. I am very tired and I will take my pain med to help me sleep a little better I hope. I hope everyone is doing well. -
Can you wear deoderant when you go in for surgery? They told me to shower the night before and not to have lotion etc. But is deoderant included in that??:confused2:

Happy Easter! Today I will be making dinner for my family. I figure we will have about 30 people coming. I dicided to have Easter at my house so that today would go by fast and keep my mind off of food. I hope that people stay late so I can just clean up and go to bed. I have to leave my house around 4:40 to be at the hospital around 5:15 am.
