  1. I have been home now for a couple days and it hurts everytime I do anything. I drink Water or anything and I get a gut renching pain that comes in waves. I attempted to have sugar free Jello yesterday which was horride. I won't try that again for a long time. Is this normal? Does everyone get these pains? I feel everything I put in go down and through my stomach. Please advise.
  2. So I went shopping for some Prilosec or Pepcid. I read all the labels carefully and most of the pills were encteric coated which means "do not crush". I found the Pepcid Complete is chewable, so I bought some. I bought the berry flavored one. I chewed it and it disolved with no problems. It did not come back up. I have been tring warmer drinks with better results. I only had a couple of those pains. I have been lightheaded most of this afternoon, but thats probally due to not having food; go figure. I have to work on Friday, Saturday and Sunday wholey will I be alright. I sure hope so. Well I will post more later.
  3. So I called the office, they were very helpful. They said what I am feeling is typical. I need to drink warm liquids rather than the cold stuff I have been drinking. Also, they recommended I get Pepcid or Prilosec instead of Nexium. I'm glad I didn't buy a lot in Mexicali. I forgot to get some at the store today, so I have to go in the morning. Keys Pirate, Joe and I remember you guys  congrats on being able to sleep comfortably. I look forward to that day. I can sleep on my side a little bit. I hope it gets better soon.
  4. I am here and the nerves have calmed down. My nausea has slowed down. I able to get enough bandwith to write a little blurb. I am in pain and it is uncomfortable with every move. My husband has been my savior and here for my every move. Well the nausea is starting to return. So I will post more later. Amy
  5. congrats another one for the 27th. Where are you having yours done at?
  6. My husband is going with me.:001_tt1: I hope he does not get to bored.
  7. Okay I am new to this board. I have been so nervous about the whole procedure. I have only told one person besides my husband. My sister who had the RNY and had horrible depression following that. Well our father had passed away not to far before it. I have been dealing with very minimal depression till our mother passed about 3 1/2 years ago. I have not needed any medicine just dealing with it a day at a time. My sister still sees her self as "fat". When do you see your self as skinny or sexy again. Hell I have not felt sexy on a long while, but my husband tells me I am all the time . My weight has fluctuated over the years. I am the heaviest I have ever been. I have been trying to half heartedly "do something about it for years". All the while re bounding after the diets and gaining more. I do not think I would have ever done this on my own. I thank my husband for his support. I feel like it is a ton of money being self pay, but he has assured me that it is money well spent. I am scheduled for January 27 with Dr. Aceves.
  8. I remember going to my new doctor here. I told her one of my concerns was that I was obese and she said "oh no you just need to loose a little." I told her that I was considering the lap band she said no just portion control and write down what you eat. It was upsetting that I actually got up the nerve to admit I was obese and she just brushed me off. Well needless to say I never went to her again.
  9. Of course it would be great to meet up with you. We will be there the 26th for preop and surgery is the 27th. Amy
  10. Thanks for all of your support.
  11. I'll be there on the 27th. We should overlap atleast one day. See you there!
