I also went with Dr. Aceves....he and his staff are the best. He is very professional and reliable. Ask her to contact Nina, she's the patient coordinator and she'll gladly give you all the necessary information. If you need any other information please feel free to ask. Goodluck and wish you the best.

When is it a food addiction, and when is it just overeating?
Mary Gordon replied to ouroborous's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
i firmly believe that it is called food addiction, when you wake up in the middle of the night without any reason, open the fridge and eat the first thing you see. we have schedules and we should limit our eating to those, morning midday afternoon evening. if we eat for no reason and without being hungry, that's when i think it has become an addiction. -
well, normally after a month you shouldn't be feeling pain and you should be losing weight.....weight a few more weeks and if you are still the same then you should do something else about it. wish you the best and goodluck!!!

Mary Gordon replied to 2Fluffy's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
i know it's hard, but we all have cheated one way or the other, don't be so hard on yourself, tomorrow will be a new day, a new opportunity to get on track again.....if you can have a half hour more of exercise, makes you feel less guilty. goodluck!!! -
what is the secret to success after surgery?
Mary Gordon replied to twoboysandagirl's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
i think that what has worked for me are my indications that I got from Dr. Aceves. plus i have actually become an exercise addict....as soon as i started seeing results, i liked it more and more....so now i dont miss a day at the gym, and if for one reason i don't have time, then i take a walk or run around my neighborhood. -
thankyou for taking the time and sharing your recipe, i will for sure try it out!!!

I Cheated a few times and now I'm scared
Mary Gordon replied to zuby1124's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
i also think that what you need to do is exercise....start walking, or some cardio exercises, you could take some zumba classes, they are great for burning calories. -
LAST TEN FREAKIN POUNDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Mary Gordon replied to SimoneVSsimone's topic in Post-op Diets and Questions
how are you doing with exercise, maybe you need to work more on your cardio exercises....plus you need to relax, because if you are stressed, this will impede getting to your goal. -

To Tell or not to Tell
Mary Gordon replied to myrori's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
i too think you should have a talk with your kids, and just be sincere with them and share your point of view....tell them how you feel and i am sure they will understand.....your coworkers don't need to know, unless you have one close coworker and you feel you can trust him or her, then go ahead....whichever way, i wish you the best of luck....and happy thanksgiving, you do need to be grateful for your surgery and your new journey to weight loss.... -
thanks so much for the advice, i will definitely try the recipes.. what brand of plain yogurt do you recommend?
