  3. yes congrats you two for reaching wonderland. can't wait to get there myself. please pray for me too. i am a major stress eater and tonight my son and i got into it over him learning to drive. he is so negative about every little thing. it drives me nuts and i turn to snacking!!! why oh why does my life have to be like this!!!

    oh my God. I hate taking pills, vitamins or anything of that nature. it hurts so bad. speaking of my calcium i have to go take mine. i can only get down 3 a day. it makes me so sad at myself...

    thanks luck for your thoughts and your long time being a vsg. you are such an inspiration to us that are just babies as this battle that we are trying to win. please come back and post more. we need to hear from someone that is that far out.
  6. i have pretty much done the same thing as tiffy. i haven't really lost much weight like in the beginning but my clothes feel and look so different. everyday people look at me and say how much more have you lost and i have to say i am hanging around 62#. i guess the inches are shifting all over the body. well good luck. we are all going at different speeds. some days i wish it would just fall off in 3-4 months but i know that is not realistic. i didn't put 140# on overnight,but it sure would be nice for it to fall off. wish i had some insight as to what i am doing wrong. everyday i say i am going to stay away from carbs but by the end of the day i have to have something. blah blah blah... sorry for the rambling..

    Tell me this lasts!!!

    most days i don't feel like eating but once i do, it seems like i get hungry quicker especially in the evenings. i am fighting it hard tonight. i know it is just head hunger. i can and will do this. i am 22# pounds away from wonderland and i feel like it will never get there. i am going so slow with weight loss. i am starting to work out everyday. i am feeling like such a failure. some days i am so bad with the things i eat.

    I love those lemony bites, they tasted so good in my sample pack, but they have alot of calories . . . that is why i won't get them, i do the disolvables . . . just as good without the calories. . . __________________ where do you buys those thineoneday? to swallow the petites pills hurt me and i just can't do them. i try everyday but i never get all 6 down!!
  9. when i ate pizza a few weeks ago and it just wouldn't go down without hurting me so i just picked the toppings off and just ate that. it was still good and would probably do it again seeing how i can't eat hardly any bread products. go figure. it hurts all the way down..

    i take b12 sublingual, 2 gummy vitamins that we bought at sam's, and suppose to be taking 6 calcium citrate petites but i can't swallow them without discomfort.

    why do we have to a calcium supplement? i am having a hard time swallowing the calcium caltrate petites!! they are not that big but my God i am having a hard time with this. please help.. any suggestions would be greatly aopreciated.

    100+ Pound Club

    i have around 140# to loose. i have lost 62# since nov. gosh that seems like a lot of weight to get off this body. i had my sleeve done on 12-8-09 and have lost 42# since surgery. i have got to loose at least 25# before my next doctor's appointment in march!! i don't know if i will make it.
  13. i am having a down day!!!! i don't want to eat,drink or do anything. my husband made chilli for supper and i couldn't even eat one bite before i felt like i was going to throw up. i ended up making me a piece of fish. it was good but not what my head was telling me i wanted. i wanted something badddddd for me!!!     65-70 lbs to lose

    you really do have to put up with some people's stupid comments. i had a lady that works at hospital ask me why i would have surgery to loose weight like i was a stupid person. i said well you know i have been heavy my whole adult life and wanted a tool that could help me get it off and keep it off. she said her son has dropped weight by dieting and body building and i said good for him. i proceeded to walk away before i got mad. this was my decision not anyone elses!!!

    Protein-laced HOT Tea!

    lee, my surgeon also wants me to get all of my protein from foods but some days it is hard to eat things that are high enough in protein. most days i get anywhere from 55-65 g. of protein. i should've done a protein shake tonight but i am so tired from my spin class tonight i don't have the energy to to get up and make it. ha ha. that damn bike kicked my a__. well good luck.

    yes snow thanks for the excellent post about all of the differnt plateaus we all are going through. after do many diapointments with weight loss how could you not be dpressed about no loss in weeks!!!
  17. i have never been to a gym before this journey that i am on. i meet with a personal trainer a few times for her to set my machines/weights for me. she told me how to use the stationary bicycle, treadmill and the eliptical. it took some time to get use to the eliptical,but i love it. 22 min and it burns 377 cals in that alone. then if you do all of the weight machine then you burn another 300 or so cals. i love doing those two things and i also liked the step class that i was doing,but had to stop because my foot is having problems. seeing the ortho on march 1st. i am going to try a basic spin class tomorow. may not be able to walk the next day but going to give it a whirl!! hope your gym experince goes well.

    bella, watch out buying too many flavors because what you like pre-op you might not like post op. there are things that i loved before surgery and can't stand now. like regular tea made in a tea/coffee maker with splenda sweetner, now i have to drink diet snapple peach tea. i have never liked tea out of a bottle. go figure!!

  20. my stomach cramps too. it feels like a catch right under my left ribcage. most days if i puch on it, it will go away for a few minutes...

    alright thanks tracey for the idea of the crystal light peach tea with a 1/2 scoop of vanilla protein, then microwaved. it is lovely and only 2 carbs in my protein. needed another way to get my protein and water intake up. i am in a one and half week stall and that is a b_ _ _ h. blah blah blah. sorry for my rattling on and on...

    What are your favorite snacks

    i tend to do really well at work but when i get home at night i graze. i hate myself most nights for that. i also haven't been going to the gym due to stuff coming up. i can't do any kind of step aerobics or the hip hop abs i found online because i have a hurt foot. it hurts so bad and i think i could have a stress fracture and can't see ortho till march 1st. i can't keep hurting my foot because i have to go to work and if i keep hurting it then i can't go to work. so i am getting me one of those exercise ball so i can do it at home. give me some ideas on what i can do with the ball....
  24. hey girl. glad you are doing well after your surgery. don't worry about the water gain it will come off once you can get up and move around. just continue to drink your liquids and get up and walk. it will go away.
