Just a little advice.

I am back on it now. But when I was off of it, my esophogus would burn also. Everything kind of burned. Also, here is a TMI-I had diarrhea that was just straight stomach acid. It was extremely painful and I don't wish it upon my worst enemy. I will not be going off it any time soon! -
I have become a champion BURPER!
excited2lose replied to goodlife's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
At 4 months out, sometimes I wish I could burp. It will get better. -
I don't think I pooped for 7-9 days. LOL. So yeah, by then I was down 25 lbs and feeling pretty good. No issues with wiping.

Worried about throwing up
excited2lose replied to CoachKK's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I throw up about once every two weeks? I guess I am still learning what I can tolerate and how fast I can eat it. I am over 4 months out though and I don't think it damages my stomach in any way. It isn't even like a real vomit if you want me to get real about it. It is like the food just kind of falls back out of me. (Sorry if this is TMI) I don't know. I get mad at myself when it happens (because I feel like I did something wrong), but I don't worry about it. -
Another hair loss question.
excited2lose replied to excited2lose's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
When I wash my hair tomorrow night, I will take pics of what I lose just in one washing. It is honestly disturbing to me. :thumbup1: -
Alright. So I have been losing hair for a week. I have to say-I didn't expect this. It is alarming how much hair I am losing. I have a TON of hair, but it still scares me. For those of you that lost, did it slow down after a bunch falling out at first? It really scares me. I feel if I continued for months losing like this that I would have no hair left. I know that sounds extreme, but I am losing A LOT of hair. I am taking biotin for regrowth, but wow. I am getting a little nervous. This was one thing that DIDN'T scare me because I have so much hair and I lost after both of my pregnancies. THIS is different though. Please tell me I won't lose it all.

Has anyone tried these?
excited2lose replied to excited2lose's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Yeah, I don't think I will be trying them. Ick. I just love pasta and I haven't had it since 2009! -
How much do you loss per week
excited2lose replied to Lillie24's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Some weeks none. Others 1, some 3 and I would say on average about 2. It varies every week. This week seems like it would be a bad one-I have eaten some "not so great things" but yep, still down 3 lbs! -
Just a little advice.

I think I would stay on it for a year (at least). Now that I think back, I think a lot of my discomfort has been from not taking the antacid regularly. I will take it for quite a while, I am sure. -
Tiff, that site is great. It reminded me of the Sims game. :sad0: But dirtier.

What Can I expect??
excited2lose replied to Phatcurves's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I had my surgery 1/25/10 and I am down 52 lbs as of today. I have stuck to the diet and worked my ass off when it comes to working out. (not everyone can though-it is all about what your surgeon will allow) I have found that I enjoy working out, so I run 7 days a week plus meet with a personal trainer twice a week. The key is to really sticking to that diet though. If you stick to it, yes, you will lose. You will lose fast! -
Just a little advice.

Ok, went downstairs to get some bread (I'd rather have bread than milk....milk just skeeves me out...i know, I am strange) and we didn't have any. (My husband eats low carb also) I did find some saltines and I ate a few of those and it seemed to help. I am going to try to get some sleep. Hopefully this resolves tomorrow. Thanks for all the help! -
I haven't had any issues, but I use the target brand sleep aid (gel tabs) a few times a week. They work great. I have always had sleep issues, so I can't really say whether this problem is an after surgery issue.

One month out today
excited2lose replied to Can.sleeved's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I hit that same dreaded stall. I stayed there for 3 weeks. Then the scaled moved a TEENY bit and stalled again-another week. But I kept on exercising and watching what I ate. I never once got *too* discouraged and I am so glad that I didn't. Just a week and a half ago I broke out of that stall phase and the weight is falling off. I don't even get all my protein in some days (not recommending it!) but some days I can't believe that I lost 2 lbs just overnight! Just be patient and you will get through it! Like a pp said, ANY progress is GOOD progress! :sad0: -
Does anyone
excited2lose replied to TiffanyIsMajor's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Yeah, don't invest in anything until you get home. I was all gung ho on muscle milk until I got out of the hospital. Bleh. For about a week, everything smelled like smoke to me. (odd, eh?) Nothing smelled or tasted good. This past week I have started to add in some muscle milk to my diet to up my Protein count and while I can keep it down, it is much harder than before the surgery. Good luck ladies! Can't wait to see you on the other side! :sad0:
