Hello, Just wondering if anyone has used liquid egg whites as a protein source? They have about 11 grams of protein for 3.5 ounces. One time on one of my crazy diet attempts I mixed them with cocoa powder and Splenda and drank them for a few days. Wondered if they might work in my early days after I am sleeved?

Thank you, I should have specified that I used the kind that you buy in the carton that are pastuerized. Lan2k-I am going to follow your lead and dump the artificial sweetner, I need to switch to Stevia too. I am definitely going to try your breakfast also, 70lbs gone sounds like you know your stuff! I totally understand, everyone keeps asking if I am excited and all I can say is "I am but I just want to be on the other side of it". I read your post about being fearful of leaving your daughter and I was so touched by it I couldn't even reply. My youngest is 17 and I share your fears! I am quite sure your daughter is much younger. But, on the other hand I am 49, diabetic, high blood pressure and just plain sick of not being able to move freely. I prayed for you yesterday and will continue to do so.

I was shocked when I found out I was only going to have a two day pre-op diet! I think I am going to start a high protein low carb diet this Sunday, my surgery is Wednesday, March 24 so that will give me about a week and a half. It certainly can't hurt and I would like the head start! When are you scheduled?

Hello, I am being sleeved at a Bariatric Center of Excellence in two weeks from today, in another state. I asked them to fax my pre-op diet thinking I would be starting today... their pre-op is only 2 days! Should I start a low/no carb high protein diet anyway? I really want the best possible outcome. I would greatly appreciate any guidance. Thank you.

Hi, this is my first post. I am 49, female, self pay sleeve. I will be making a one time 10 hour drive for my surgery at a facility that is recognized as a Bariatric Center of Excellence. Although the date has yet to be set, the plan for the week is; Sunday, travel, Monday, exam and blood work, Tuesday, nutritionist and psychiatric evaluation, Wednesday, surgery. The plan is for me to stay in town until the following Monday for my final check up. Anyone else have a similar experience? I am hoping to have surgery in February. I appreciate reading about everyone's experiences on here. I have been overweight my whole life and can not even imagine a life with out this issue clouding everything that I do!
