Hi Carrie,
This was actually my first surgery, so I don't have any other experience to compare it to. I had a hard time with nausea in the hospital so they kept me there 4 days, until I could drink more and had peed enough. I think I was unprepared for the agony of recovery and I know I felt regret at the time, but now that I'm healed I barely think about that. I've always been impressed by the efficiency at Kaiser facilities, and how everything is done so fast and by so many different people. I felt well cared for there. I never met Dr. Belzberg but Dr. Zane is THE expert at Kaiser in the bariatric dept. and I am very happy with my sleeve. I want to ask him how big my sleeve is though, because sometimes I feel like I can eat a lot, and I'm always hungry. Hope that goes away, as some say it went away for them at 3 months. Good luck with your surgery...what day will it be? I'm going there on 3/23 to see Dr. Zane for my follow up appt., maybe you'll be there then!

Hi, I was looking around on this site and saw that you had your sleeve done by Dr. Zane. I'm having mine done in a week and a half by Dr. Belzberg. I had originally seen Dr. Zane, but am now having Dr. Belzburg do my surgery. How was your experience? I had the lap band done in Mexico, but due to so many complications with it Dr. Belzberg took it out on Dec. 31st. He wanted to do the sleeve at the same time, but the band had eroded my stomach so I had to wait. Im just getting a little nervous/anxious and would like to hear from someone who had it done at the same place I will be having it. Thank you for your time!
