hi Chandra, Im not doing quite as well having a hard time with severe pains in chest when eat or drink hopefully it will get better within a couple days also having a hard time sleeping only sleep for about 1-1/2 hr at a time and extremely tired. I'm glad to hear your doing better I just tell myself couple days it will get better. sorry took me so long to get back with ya. We'll have to meet up someday since where so close. Do you know of any support groups in the area?

hi shutterbug, hope your doing good I have been having a diffuclut time getting in enough fluids and protein its like everything i try and eat or drink gives me terrible gas pains in my chest then nausea they told me if not any better tommorrow to call the hurley center might have to have iv fluids cause I cant get enough. hope your doing better.

Hi everyone, I've been on my liquid diet for 8 days first 3 days a little rough but gets easier everyday in fact I find myself having to remember to take all my proteins somedays. I also am nervous but I'm actually getting excited the closer I get my surgery date is nov 17th and I cant wait. good luck you'll be fine. -
protein shakes-I'm going to starve!

Hi everyone Im currently on my 8th day of my pre liquid diet and I got a two week package from betterMD.net I got protein shakes, soups, and fiber drinks everything I needed for two weeks. Plus you can have all the liquids 5cals and under you want including sugar free popsicles,jello and also smoothies and yogurt dannon lite and fit. I like the taste of their shakes you can add water or skim milk taste like milk shakes to me and I dont feel hungry and also lost 16 pounds the first week. I'm going to try some others after surgery but at least I know these I like. Good luck to everyone. Have a great day. -

Hi Lauren I too am a newbie but Im on the liquid diet now this is my 6th day I have times that Im hungry but it passes and it gets better every day. I just keep thinkin of all the good that is in front of me and that keeps going. My surgery is nov 17th coming up fast. Im on liquids till my surgery. hope this was some help to you.

hi newmom, Im having mine done November 17th so we had a turkey dinner in October with my family. I'm on my 3rd day of my liquid diet and am getting a little nervous, but won't chicken out been waiting for this for over a year.
