I'm from BC Canada. Got tired of waiting for procedure to be done in Victoria (after 3 /1/2 years and 2 more to go) and switched to doctor in Richmond BC very glad I did. I may have to wait a year but while I'm waiting I have a support network set up by my surgeon to properly prepare me for surgery. I really have a good feeling this time. Darlene

Thanks for this post I'm looking in to this as I've long suspected food allergies etc. I haven't had my surgery yet but this is something Else I can work on pre-op

Dear wanabslim re your message Hi, I am in BC in the fraser valley. I am considering the sleeve surgery. I understand some people go to Puget Sound for their surgeries ? Is there anyone else from the lower mainland that has had this done ? I am going to talk to my doctor this weekend and get her input. Don't know if you've heard but http://www.westcoast...ricsurgery.com/ in Richmond is now doing this surgery. I am going to be checking it out myself as I just found out they do the vertical sleeve the only one I can have. Hope this helps. (the only one the government doesn't cover is the lapband. the others are covered

Hi: I seen Dr Tang (Dr Amsons associate) this past Wednesday the wait has just doubled and Dr Tangs is three years so you might want to consider OOC application if you meet the criteria. I am from BC and in 7 months (or when I have all my tests ready) thats what I am going to do. Dr Amsons waitlists are longer. I to am looking for the VSG
