I can imagine! It IS so scarry!! You dont want to gain all your weight back. In the beginning I found it really difficult also. What I did, may work for you too. After eating "real" food or something I thought was high in calories, I'd go for a walk. Just about 20 minutes or so. Not running, not major exersize, but I did want to get my body moving. I really dont know if it helped my weightloos, or my brain  But either way, slowly I ate more, now I eat anything pretty much, although I still tend to exersize more the day after I ate something that was "too much" in my eyes. I still do not eat more than 1000 calories a day, that is my max. And still losing weight of course! Hope this may help you!

Hi There! I can imagine posting is easier. I always "lose" word documents in my puter. :scared0: Did I store it as Food list? Or Eating Diary? Or maybe as Weight Loss? :w00t: Man, I cant even imagine eating so little! (said I whilst chewing on some M&M's ) Soon you'll be feeling like you can "really" eat again. Eventhough its only about, say, 1/4 of what you used to eat :crying: Good Luck!

My BMI was 44, not really low, but not as high as some. I lost 50 lbs since 19 october. I have not had a stall at all. As soon as I even think I might be having a stall, I up my excersize. Even going for a 30 minute walk after dinner helps! But really, dont worry, you WILL lose. And, sure, we want to lose fast, but really, as long as you lose, and keep losing, be happy!

You are welcome sweetie! I do believe in being as positive as possible and staying close to your true self! I cant even eat 1/2 a small banana, I used to love banana's but it just fills me right up after a few bites. What works best I find, is an orange. It takes so much time pealing, and getting all the little white stringy things off, it keeps me busy for an hour in the evenings :thumbup1: !

I'm 9 weeks out, lost 46 lbs since surgery. And I snack :drool5:. I dont call it cheating though. I allow myself to do some snacking. I eat either (light) chips, popcorn or something chocolate/sweet almost every day! I just make sure that I do get enough Protein and have a strict rule on minimum of 1 fruit a day. I find that not making a big deal out of sweets/snacks/no-no's makes it so much easier on myself. I dont think about what I am NOT allowed to eat all day, I just think about the bowl of "fill in anything yummies here" I AM going to have in the evening. And you know what? There are days that I just dont even feel like it. And I can say to myself, "nah, dont want it". But thats because I do allow it. You guys know how it is with saying something is not allowed You're just not going to be able to resist it. :seeya: No matter how much I'd like to be the health nut, the person who can resist carbs and sugars, I'm just not going to be that. Its not "me". Its not something I will be able to continue for a long periode of time, trust me, I've tried. I was told by my dietist lady to "stick to your own "you"" Dont try and change yourself so much. Just do eat less of everything (like thats a choice post-op :cursing:) and make sure you stay healthy and fit! Thats what I do, I do make sure I exersize as much as possible, and loving it! Surely not everyone is the same, but hope maybe this post will help.

Man... I just hardly cant believe its only been 8 weeks! It feels like ages ago I was sleeved. Tomorrow its 8 weeks and in these 8 weeks my body has already gone through such a transformation! Still unbelievable, I'm losing weight so fast my mind isnt anywhere near catching up and realising it.:bananajump: So far I have lost 42 pounds, and, whats even better, a TON of pain! I have fibromyalgia and just 8 weeks ago there was so, so, so much pain. Now I can honestly say along with the 40+ pounds I lost 50% pain. Everything has prettymuch been a breeze. I'm already totally used to not eating much, drinking lots of Water and have been riding horses again since 5 weeks out. I have also not had any stall whatsoever. I weigh once a week, but I bet I havent even stalled for a day Excersize is so much easier! I have not yet started anything "new". Just riding, cycling, walking every morning for an hour, and as long as that seems enough, I'll wait with any other sports. Eating about 600-800 calories a day, sometimes less. I can eat everything, just havent tried steak yet I do make sure I chew stuff I havent eaten yet until its liquid. Also started back on my diet Pepsi:001_wub:, only in the evenings. Well, what else can I say? Just that I'd do it again in a heartbeat ofcourse!:lol0: Hope all of you who still have to be sleeved will read this some day, as I read other succes story's, and will give you some hope and courage :lol0:

CONGRATS!!!! So cool!! -
I had some popcorn last week at the movies, I was 4.5 weeks out and had no trouble at all! Just eat as always, slow and chew well!
-
Haha! But everything better than being overweight
-
I cant help you with the burning sensation, I havent really had that. But I am at 3.5 weeks and also having a hard time eating at all. I was doing better 4 days ago than today. They say the stomach swelling is at the most by week 3-4, so maybe that is causing it?

Ha! How funny! My brother and I once gave my mom a tattoo for mothersday :001_smile: I also want a new tattoo once I'm at my goal weight. On my upper arm, but what? Dont know yet, luckely I still have lots of pounds to go..:001_tongue: @Judy, I like the second butterfly, 3rd row the best! Awesome artwork! I wouldnt however want a butterfly to be tattood as big as they are on some of those pictures :blushing: Just my humble opinion :wink0:

Haley replied to okalani's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I dont know what to tell you, but hang in there! Read the posts of other sleevers that have gone thru similar depressions and stalls and look at their posts a month later, where they are happy to have lost more weight again! Is there no one you can carpool with to your support group? -
Hi all! I'm new to this forum, figured I'd check in here at the gate before I go and read the rest :sad0: I just had my Sleeve done last monday, and am feeling pretty good so far! Oh, of course I should introduce myself, I'm Haley, almost 37 years, live in The Netherlands, Europe. Married without kids, but lots of animals such as Horses, Dogs, Chickens. Ik weighed 109 kilo's before surgery and have yet to weigh after. (so scared it will be dissapointing!! :001_tongue: ) Any questions? Just ask!
-
Oh yes! I wouldnt risk anything now that I've already come so far! There will be plenty of time to ride later on!
-
Thanks!! Well, I'd love to get back on tomorrow if I could, but my surgeon said wait at least 6 weeks...:crying: :lol0:

Hey, I just thought I'd give you guys an update! Today I am 16 days out and I lost 10 Kilo's! (thats 22 lbs according to the conversion site) I can already feel it in everything! I'm not having any problems with "eating" (just cant seem to really call what I'm doing eating... :crying:) except that milk products still dont go down well. Some days better than others. I'm walking every morning for 45 minutes (I always did, have dogs ) and in the evening I go for another 20 minutes with one of the horses. Some days I feel good enough to do lots, other days I have less energy. All in all so far so good!:lol0:

Good luck on your sugery! I took way too much to the hospital, thought I'd do some reading... Yeah right. So much goes on around you, no time to read. I was also so, so, so affraid. Really. But once I was there, my husband had left, I felt sort of a calm come over me. Like whatever was going to happen, would happen, but the procces was already started, so nothing I could do but just sit back and let it happen. It turned out just fine, like I am sure it will for you!

I cant find really anything about eating Cereal post-op. I LOVE Cherioos, Rice Krispies and Smacks, and cant wait to start on some, mixed with milk of course, again. :laugh0: Anybody here know?
