I never questioned my decision on either of my surgeries. I knew in my heart that the risks of being fat outweighed the risks of either of the surgeries. I knew that a co-morbidity would eventually kill me if I didn't get and keep the weight off. I did a lot of research on gastrectomies. Not just gastrectomies for weight loss, but for other conditions.
