Rum and coke, Goldschlagger shots, and lots of carbs
Itstime commented on Tiffykins's blog entry in Just another day. . .
What a fun time for you and who were the men that were crazy hitting on you? You did wear your wedding ring didn't you!! I just had a great St. Paddy's day bike ride to Nashville and what fun! Cheers! -
I think I know what you mean but certainly I have a long way to go bf that happens for me. It sounds like the day after you run the marathon you have been prepping for over a year and now what do you do? You look for another challenge I guess but don't forget about us, o.k.? I can't tell you how much your encouragement and knowledge has helped me and so many of us here.

Thin, bet you dropped some weight too!! Glad you are cleaned out, it makes such a difference when all is "working". -
Nexium, Prevacid, Prilosec, other? Are you taking anything post-surgery?
Itstime replied to youknowit's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I take prevacid in the am also and by the end of the day have more hunger pangs, especially when I am drinking my water to get in all my fluids. It seems to flush out my stomach and creates that empty feeling, don't know how else to describe it. I ignore it most times but feel that would be the time I could cheat bf going to bed. Would love to hear from other users about upping the dose? -
Love the big numbers! I need a second hand for outside also. Just hope I keep getting enough oxygen to keep jogging!!!

You can get the Jamba Juice after security so it is with you on the plane if you want. I was nervous about the flight also and did the walk up the aisle a couple times, my flight went to Charlotte and I was really fine with it but was sooo gladdd to be home in my bed. Get a med to relax you if need, Dr. Aceves will help you with that. Maybe a Xanax? Don't project problems for yourself,(I know how to do that also). :thumbup1:

The best to you both, you are going to be in good hands with Dr. Aceves and his staff. By the way, we stayed an extra night at the hotel in San Diego and was so glad of it! At the airport there was a Java Juice that made the best clear fruit juice slushy, no seeds, felt so good on my tummy. Nursed that for hours. Good Luck!

Good luck Kelly, I know you are on your way to a new life!

Make a room on the loosers bench for meeeee!!!!!!!!
Itstime replied to tia_1417's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Glad you are feeling better and so glad you were at the hospital where they could take care of you! -
I was sleeved by Dr. Aceves and yes he uses a JP drain with a bag for the drain, not a big deal and it was removed on the second or third day. The stitches dissolve on their own. You will have 5 port scars that you need to keep clean. I washed with soap and covered with derm tape. The large scar took the longest to heal but within 2 weeks I think it was healed. No other aftercare except certain vitamins to take and at 3 months he advises a complete bloodwork screening and an upper GI ordered by your primary doctor. He will give you your x-rays to take home with a dictated letter explaining what surgery he did for your doctor. You may have questions for Gaby who does the patient followup questions for Dr. Aceves and they are very prompt getting back to you. I had the best care there and the staff was wonderful! Some of the sleevers here go to a dietician for diet and others also join bariatric support groups if they have one in their area. I would like to join a group here locally but thank goodness I can come on this forum for now to get my questions answered. I could not have done this without this help. Feel free to ask any more questions and good luck!!

Glad you are on the other side and doing well. Sounds like the infiltrating was painful and know you could have used the nausea and pain meds but glad its behind you. Onward on your journey!!

Shontel, I tried the couch to 5k today and did not do the full 8 jogs, only 3 and I was so winded! I had just been in the pool doing a very good work out there and felt I was warmed up but it wasn't happening. I did pump the speed up to 3.9 for walking but it is a kick butt work out. I know I can do it!!! I have to do this!!! Keep us going Shontel and Jachut.

I just wanted to say that I jogged on my treadmill today for the first time! I am a 63 yo woman and don't think I have ever done that bf. I tell you I felt so good doing it and will continue this so I can enter a race with my daughter this summer for sure! I was floating..and sweating but didn't kill me!:wink0:

Shontel, Way to go!!! I have been doing sporadic jogging and huffing and puffing myself and know how hard it is to get motivated to keep going but that program sounds like I should try it. KEEP IT UP!!! I'm right behind you.
