    Massages

Bob, What a great idea. I am not sleeved yet but my husband said why don't you get a massage b/f you go? I had such a good one couple months back, heated soft table, deep tissue, soft music, candles and incense and found all the tension in my back I didn't know I had. Massage, amen.
  2. Lan, I will send you good thoughts and prayers. I think we all can relate somewhat to depression and how alone you feel, but it sounds like you had so many life changes at once that it was a perfect storm and anyone would have stumbled. Having surgery doesn't make everything perfect again. I hope you can get out and above this cloud and give to something you care about, I know you have a lot to give...

Let's Dish or other meal prep kitchens?

Deedee, sounds like a great idea. I had thought that these kitchens were set up for the customer to come and make several dishes of your choice with everything there for you to do it yourself and then like you said to take it home to freeze or use later on. Can't wait to hear your experience. Has to be better for you than eating out and you knowing what is going into the dish vs high fat and salt in take out. Good cooking!!

First time in front of the class

Yay deedee, That was a big step for you and I know you would be a good instructor, so empathetic. I could not even think of talking when I am huffing and puffing. See how far you've come!
  10. Megan, welcome to this forum! I am excited for you on your journey to good health. I am getting sleeved by Dr. Aceves Dec. 4 and I have the utmost faith in his and his staffs skills. I cannot address your concerns about being a vegetarian but there are so many wonderful sharing people on this forum that will try to help you that you put it out there and they will get you the answer. We are all here for you..
  11. AJW, I am on the pre-op diet and doing the protein drinks/shakes and it was like cement for me. So I bought Miralax and took 2 doses and didn't really notice a difference! Kept waiting. I read the same warning to not take more than 1 week and don't think that will be an issue with me. My husband got some Colon Cleanz herbal formula from GNC which also says not to use more than 7 days but that DID work. Just read the cautions. I have always been regular and this protein stops me up. I hope not to have this issue all the time or I will need to wear a panty liner for all the Proctosol I am slathering on. TMI

    Chat room

Alex, I am having trouble getting into the chat room after logging in. Please help. Thanks.
  13. Itstime

    Why so few posters?

Tiffy, I think the chatter has slowed down too, maybe the holidays? Or maybe all the senior sleevers have been so thorough and covered most of it? I still love hearing you guys get on a TMI subject, gives me a chuckle. I am thankful for all the help and concern that you all share with us newbys and especially covering some subjects that you don't know how to ask.... Happy Thanksgiving all!

    Fitness Goals

Gee, that sounds so painful. Don't know what else to do but rest it awhile. How about some swimming exercises. Do you have access to a pool that you could take some classes? The water feels so good and the body is so light to move, although you can do some serious exercises in the water classes. Dont's push it for now.
