I am totally sold on having VSG. I also have a guy in my area that had it done with great success. So it is nice to have someone to talk to. We met at a weightloss surgery support group. Man the bypass people attacked him, it got ugly. They got so mad because he did not have all the issues that they had etc.. I found out I can get it done at a military treatment facility and I have to live there for two months after for monitoring and have to go to all the follow up appts there for a year. No big deal for me. It is only about 7 hrs away. Right now they have approved me to do it. I am just jumping through all the hoops. Going to schedule all the appts coming up here soon to get it started. I have done my refferal and pre op clearance with the pcm. They called me to today and said it was a green light.
My husband has been in the military for 21 yrs he is getting a promotion to
O-5 this summer that I am very proud of him. We have four kids and I have been homeschooling for 10 yrs. My kids are 15,10,6,5.
I only had a weight problem after I had my children and I have been struggling. I have been in to oraganic living and natural foods for 14 yrs. I juice and have a blendtec blender. I make all of our food from scratch and my husband has to watch his cholestrol and sodium because of family history. So we have a pretty bare bones diet. Very healthy and I still can't get the weight off no matter what I try. I work out three times a day. I do eat large portions since it takes a long time for me to get full and I eat fast as well and I know I need to slow down. Even when I do it is just so hard to get it off. I think I am having the surgery in Jan. Very excited!!!:001_huh:
