  1. 2 years have passed since you registered at VerticalSleeveTalk! Happy 2nd Anniversary Time-for-me!!

  2. Hey! It's been forever since I was on here but thought I should check in and see how you are doing. Say hello to your Mom for me, also. I hope she is well and I'd love to hear about your progress!

  3. Time-for-me!

    Hypothyroidism and me...

I am 3 months out of surgery and I was able to take my pill no problem before and after surgery. My Dr checked me last month and said nothing has changed and to continue taking my little pill... chances are we will always have an under-active thyroid, it's a problem with the gland itsself, and I don't think it's related to our food intake at all... darn it anyway!! LOL

You're welcome Sarah, I hope you enjoy it!! I know WE do!:thumbup1:

    Meatza

I wanted to say how SUPER YUMMY this pizza is!! I make it a couple of times a month and even my hubby loves it!! I make it with ground turkey, minced garlic and Italian Mrs Dash in the crust, and I use the rest of the ground turkey (scramble fried in a bit of PAM) along with minced mushrooms and red and yellow peppers and then I add some crushed pineapple on top of the light shredded mozza!! SOOOOO DELICIOUS!! ( I did find that my first attempt was quite dry, but when I used the whole little tin of pizza sauce on top of the crust (instead of just a couple of tablespoonfuls) with some light parmesan cheese, it was fantastic!) Highly recommend this one, and I feel like I'm eating pizza again!!

    One month out

Way to go Sarah! It REALLY does get better every day, pretty soon you will feel "normal" and the energy will come back! You are doing great!!
  7. Time-for-me!

    Normal????

Hi Sarah! I was severely fatigued for the first several weeks. I wanted to nap, but like you, work and family demands come first, then finally a chance to rest at about 8pm! After about 4 weeks I noticed it gradually getting better. I'm still tired by the end of the day but I'm up at 5:30, work at my job for 8 hours, and don't get a chance to relax until my 3 year old gets to bed at 8pm. :svengo: Just keep in mind that your body is healing, and trying to deal with functioning on FAR less fuel than it's used to!! Hang in there, it gets better!:001_smile:
  8. Hi Sarah! I have been wondering about you lately!! How did your surgery go! How are you doing? Fill me in girl! =)

  9. My Dr uses a 32... I'm down 40 lbs since Jan 11th... it's working for me!
  10. Thanks for the message, & it sounds like you're doing great with the weight loss too! Good job! It is great coming across fellow Albertans on here... there aren't enough of us! lol Hope you're doing well!

  11. Hey there, yeppers I have excess skin on my tummy, boobs and inner thighs. My inner thighs look worse than my stomach, but I don't ever wear shorts. The best way for me to describe it is wrinkly. My boobs are really saggy, and kind of resemble deflated water balloons, but with a good push up bra, they look great under clothes. I still have flabby, fatty batwing arms, but none of it is negatively affecting me. I'm not having to wear undergarments to contain the skin, or smooth things out so I don't think it's that bad. Thanks for the sweet compliments, and I know you're gonna do fabulous with your sleeve.

  12. Hey Tiff!! You have done AMAZINGLY with your weight loss success! You appeared to be about the same size as I was pre-surgery, and I was wondering if you have had any issues with lose or hanging skin? You seem to be so far ahead in progress from most others on this board, so I wanted to ask someone who is experiencing it! I hope you don't mind sharing, I just am wondering what to expect! |Thanks! =)

  13. Hey there Kai! I see that you and I had our surgeries on the same day! You're already down 36 lbs?? That's AWESOME! I'm only 5 lbs behind you, but still, way to go!! I also notice you are a fellow Albertan, it's nice to have some Canadian perspective on these forums!

  14. Haha, you're welcome! You're right I AM going to enjoy it while I can! I hit my first stall at the end of 2 weeks when I started mushies.. it lasted a week and a half and then it started moving again. THEN when I was expecting my period last week it stalled AGAIN for a week, it just started moving again yesterday... I STILL weigh myself every day though. It was TOTALLY frustrating not seeing any progress, but I just kept saying it WILL start up again, it WILL start up again! I figured it took me YEARS to put all this weight on, I should be more patient in trying to get it off!
  15. So Tiffy, did you get it at all during the first 2 months? I sure am looking forward to lighter and a day less!! That's ANOTHER perk to this surgery!!
