    Favorite protein?

I just received a sample of CLICK powder and I am in love! I ordered a tub already! coffee lovers....this one is for you! I have ordered a few other samples, including ones that you all have suggested. I don't want to be stuck drinking nothing but coffee flavored drinks!

    Vitamin Question

I know that after a RNY people have to take quite a few Vitamins for the rest of his or her life. My question is this: I haven't seen much talk about what vitamins, if any, that Sleevers need other than a Calcium supplement. What do you take?
  4. What is your favorite Protein drink? Do you prefer powers or RTD? Where do you buy it? Sorry for all the questions, but I am desperate to find a protein I like before surgery. I have tried a few, including the Isopure RTD and they are NASTY! I would love to be able to buy a bunch of samples. I just hate the idea of spending money on a huge tub of something that I will only end up hating. Thanks all! Kelsie
  5. Hey Kelsie, we're at Hurlburt Field, but live in Navarre. John has put in for a special duty assignment at Lackland for an ESS instructor so I can be close to my family and friends. I'm so glad you found me on here. It is great to have someone that knows this lifestyle. You'll do great, and your husband will be so surprised. We didn't exchange pictures while John was gone except for a couple of head shots because he wanted to be surprised. Boy, was he surprised ! ! ! Anyways, if you need anything don't hesitate to contact me on here. We won't know about the Lackland job until the first of the year. We may be there by the summer time. Good luck with your surgery, and keep me posted on your progress.

  6. Tiffy,

I have been reading your blogs and it feels so good to know that there si someone out there like me! My husband Cody is in the AF also. He leaves for his next deployment on the 2nd and will be gone for 9 months. So, my surgery, recovery and a huge chuck of the weightloss will happen while he's gone. I am so nervous/excited/terrified about it all! We have a 2 year old son Noah, who will be staying with my mom for about 2 months during surgery and recovery. I know I will be able to take care of him long before the time is up, but my mom loves having him. lol. I saw that you all are in NW FL. What base? We PCS'd here (Lackland) from Hurlburt Field in 06. I hate it here and can't wait to PCS again, lol. I miss FL, but I am really hoping to go overseas.

Anyway, just thought I'd introduce myself and say hi. Hope you're doing well and I'd love to hear more of your story!

  7. Hey everyone! How are you all? I know I haven't been on much. Still dealing with the pre-deployment blues. He leaves in 19 days. But I will be fine. (I hope, lol) Anyway, just wanted to pop in and share the good news.... all paperwork has been submitted and approved. I'm just waiting for my date!!!!! The gal at the surgery clinic said it will most likely be the end of Jan, beginning of Feb sometime. So excited! I should know more as the week goes on. Just thought you'd like to know so you could do a happy dance with me!:party4:

    Feeling Lost

Thanks everyone! I am confident I will make the right decision for myself. I am going to a support group meeting on the 4th, and I think that will really help me!
  9. I feel so confused! I am terrified that I won't lose the weight with the sleeve. I keep going back and forth in my mind between the sleeve and the RNY. How am I supposed to know which one will work better for me? It is all I can do not to cry when I think about it all. I know that I need the surgery and that it will be best for me and my health. That isn't what I'm conflicted about. I just feel so insecure about my decision to go with the sleeve over the RNY. But then again, I feel like this one day, and the next day I'm team sleeve again! :frown1: Has anyone else felt this way? How did you choose? Thanks, Kelsie
