I ate pizza for the first time since surgery..mixed emotions..
JudyJudyJudy replied to twobluecats's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I've had pizza a few times. I started with 200 calorie diet pizza on flat bread. That did fine. I could eat one piece. This week I had 3 slices of Papa John's chicken & Bacon BBQ. It was great !!! I ate the 3 slices over a 8 hour period. So it wasn't hard at all. My caloried intake was up for sure, but it was worth it, I still lost weight thou. I can eat Pizza WAY easier than any meat, I've tried. Chicken is the hardest to get down for me. ANd I LOVE Chicken..I could eat it any way possible. But not now, it's just hard to get down. -
FRUSTRATED!!! Am I the only one this is not going to work for?
JudyJudyJudy replied to filodough's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
We've ALL had stalls...I had mine the 2nd week after surgery...it's lasted for 3 weeks. I just had to weight for my body to decide to let go of the weight. I did try something, that seemed to work for me. I am very active...and I was only eating 600 to 800 calories a day. Getting in the water and protein, but nothing was happening. I upped my Caloried to 1200 because I was burning more calories than I was getting. So I adjusted to more calories, and the weight started coming off. It still comes off very slow, only about 3 lbs every two weeks, But it IS coming off. I've lost 40 lbs in 2.5 months. And it show's big time. You will get there...just be patient. I was miserabley impatient too...but just settle down and wait...it WILL come off. -

Battle of the flab

Thank you for a positive reaction, I think each person tolerates pain differently. I have never had a bad surgery. All have been relatively easy for me. The hystorectomy was the worst, and it was not really that bad to me. Just the 6 week waiting period was boring. How much does the TT cost? How much time for recovery? I'd LOVE to have a breast lift, I've always had low beams. Would LOVE to be perky for a change. Tell me MORE gurl.... -

I want to know EVERYTHING about the TT surgery....can you email me and tell me more about it? judystilson@hotmail.com I don't plan on having it until I met goal, or even a year after goal. TO make sure everything is shrunk as much as it can, before having it. But I don want a blow by blow report of what you went through and what to expect, if you don't mind. I've had 2 C-Section, a hystorectomy, and the Sleeve, the Sleeve was a piece of cake. I'm sure the TT will be brutal, but to have the flab gone..I'd do it. -
don't get the buffet, order won ton soup, that's all you'll be able to eat anyway. That's all i ever get at a chinese resturant. It's waaaayyyy cheaper.

Anybody watching Biggest Loser tonight?
JudyJudyJudy replied to Bob_350lbs's topic in Fitness & Exercise
I don't watch TV Much either NIkki, you know why? Because there's nothing but TRASH on TV anymore. Everything is about image and money. And who had what, and who's doing who. I hate reality shows, police show, homicide shows, real video shows and all that trash...it's not worth watching. I like National Geographics, the Discovery Channel, show's that make me go..ahhhhh..that's cool. Or shows that make me laugh or feel good. I do like American Idiol...because it's inspiring that anybody could win it. I hate Biggest looser, because the explote fat people. Nobodies perfect. But the world of man only accepts perfect people. Good thing GOD accepts me like I am. SO he's the only ONE, I care to please. No other oppinion really matters, if you think about it. Ok I'm done with my rant. -
fantastically awesome!!!!!! Your did it girl!!! Woo hooo!!!!

Anybody watching Biggest Loser tonight?
JudyJudyJudy replied to Bob_350lbs's topic in Fitness & Exercise
Hey Nikki,, that is my BIG question...not of them have loose skin, even the older lady that won last year. What's up with that? Do they have Tummy Tucks before the winners are choosen? I agree with some of the ladies about unrealistic. For a short while they are in a very upbeat invironment that is dead set on them loosing weight, in most cases, they are succesfull. But after the show...the old way of life creeps back in. The trainners are gone, and you not in the lime light anymore. This is the best tool ever. I was hope for the loose skin to disapear if I really worked hard at it...but looks like that's something else I'll have to fix....sigh. Oh well...it's better than where I was 2.5 months ago. I wouldn't change it. -
Oh Yeah, I definately Miss food. I'd rather make something at home than go out to eat, it's a waist for me. I can't eat enough to really order anything. SO I nibble off my husbands plate. I've had a few fast food things, but it's just not the same. I can only eat a small burger without the bun, and only 5 nuggets if I'm lucky. At a Chinese restaurant I can only eat won ton soup. It just seems usless to go out anymore. I'd rather eat my 6 steamed shrimp at home, or some hormel chili, or baked fish, or Chicken soup. At least I know what's in it. Yeah I miss it, my mouning period is not over yet. But I don't dwell on it at all. I just grab a protein bar and move on.
