I find that a majority of the plus size clothes are sleeveless of have really short revealing sleeves. I have to get 3/4 sleeves because of my huge upper saggy arms....I don't understand they're thinking. there are just not many plus size attractive clothes. I ware 2x t-shirts most of the time. -

:001_tt1: I can relate to EVERYTHING you've said here girl. I to have a wonderful husband that fell in love with me at 225 lbs. and still respects and loves me more than either of my ex's. He is my main motivation. He is normal size and handsome and I want to look good not only for ME, but for him. He still see's who I am, not what I look like. He's the love of my life. We too love Classic Cars, we have two; a 1972 SS Chevelle (red w/black stripes) HOT !! And a 1967 RS/SS Camaro (Royal blue with gun gray stripes) Super HOT!! I want tO be the sexy hot Mama Driving them, Without some young guy saying, what's that fat old lady doing driving that fine ride. I want to be able to cross my leggs, be able to squat without grunting to get up. I want my back pain to go away. I want energy again. I want to buy normal cloths. I want NOT To be embarrised EVER again. I want to look GREAT naked ! I want to be able to hug my husband and feel his entire body against me, instead of my stomach blocking the feel of him. I WANT a sex life again. I want people say " what a good looking couple" instead of "what is the good looking man doing with HER?" I want to be able to sit comfortably in an airplane, that last time I did, I couldn't put the little tray/desk thing down. And seat belts...sigh. I just want to feel good about ME again, I WANT TO FEEL PRETTY AGAIN!!!!! I've had low self esteem for SO long. :001_wub: I WANT THAT TO GO AWAY FOR EVER!!!! -

NOPE, it's not mean, it's revenge. I too HAD a horribly mean husband that called me every fat name there is. He was cruel daily. I was 135lbs when I married him. THen had 2 babies in a row. And when the weight come, the love left. It was like he didn't know me anymore. I hated him for that. Marriage Vows say, for better or worse, sickness and health, richer or poorer. Not stop loving her, when she's not drop dead gorgeous anymore. I gained weight to spit him, that's where it all started. He is a very miserable man now, lost and has NO love in his life. I want SO badly for reach me goal weight of 135 lbs. and just run into him somewhere, and watch his jaw drop! What better revenge can there be? -

Hello to the sisterhood of sleeves, I'm sure there's a few bothers too! I've been asking questions, and getting great responces from very helpful people. I'm 48 @ 235 lbs. with a BMI of 39. The last time I was a normal weight was in 1981 the year I got married the 1st time. After 2 babies in two years, my weight started growing and has never stoped. I'm relatively healthy, with the acception of the normal problems that come along with carrying and extra 100 lbs around everyday. I have back problems, and I see a chiropractor regularly. I have hypertenion occationally. And I have high triglycerides. At my best I weighed 135 lbs. I would love to be there again. I think it is possible now, because I see it here among the photos and stories. I've been wanting this for a very long time, and I finally have the oppertunity to get it done, thanks to my wonderful Grandfather. He didn't know it at the time, but he left me the means to change my life, in the best way possible. Thank you Paw Paw. I have a wonderfully handsome husband who accepted me just as I am, 7 years ago @ 225 lbs. I also want this for US, to make our life together even better that it already is. I can see nothing but good things for my future. I dream of the day, when my legs no longer rub together and create blisters. When I can actually cross them, instead of crossing my ankles. When I can paint my toe nails without having to be a contortionist. When I can bend down and tie my shoes without having to hold my breath. When I won't have to be embarrised to buy cloths in the PLUS SIZE dept. When I can look in the mirror and like what I see. When the size of my body doesn't limit my sex life. When I want to be in photographs, instead of running from the camera. When I feel pretty again. I long for these things so badly.:blushing: With the support of the ladies here, I feel anything is possible. I look forward to my journey Judy

I realize it's two oz.s, post surgery. I was saying 2 cups (right now) would be better than what I"ve been eating.
-
where did you have your surgery done, I was thinking of Dr. Ballanger in Gonzalez, La. Heard of him?

22 lbs.....in less than 2 weeks, I am loving my sleeve!
JudyJudyJudy replied to shanda7182's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Unbelievable !!!! I see it as a blessing too...although I've not got mine yet, I'm SOOOO ready for it. May I ask your starting weight? I also see it as a tool, and what a tool it is. The growl is what I hate the most, I love that you will feel full just after a few bites. My mouth always overloads my brain or eyes when it comes to eating. I just don't stop until it's too late and I'm stuffed. I've gotta learn how to control that...SOON. -
WOW, I had no idea, still SOOOO much to learn. I definately want a small bougie (strange name for a tube) anyway, it seem like a measuring tool. Plus compaired to what I eat now...a 2 cups full would be better. I over eat way too much. Like tonight, I had baked salmon and steamed potatoes, sounds good right, but then I had fried okra, a yeast roll, bread pudding and 2 glassed of sweet tea.... I NEED this surgery.

I just emailed the facility and asked all these questions, I'll see what I get in return. I asked for phone number for one on one Testimonials. THANK YOU !!!

Please explain what Bougie is please?
-
I can't wait to get to that point, I'm sick of eating fried everything, and sweet everything. I'm a foody for sure. Just LOVE food.

Hum....I"m a southerner, Deep South U.S. Grits are a staple in my neck of the woods. Grits are sort of like oatmeal, but made of ground hominy or corn. You cook them in water until smooth and cream like "cream of wheat". You add butter, salt and pepper to taste. They are more gritty than oatmeal or cream of wheat, hence "GRITS". You eat them with scambled eggs, bisquits, or by the bowl. I love them. You can also put cheese in them. Unlike oatmeal or cream of wheat they are not meant to be sweetened. But flavored like a baked potato. Hope that explains GRITS to you. -
OMG, thank you ALL !!! What terrific advice for each of you. My husband is wanting me to research as much as possible, he is skeptical of "out of states" facilities. But as Shannon said, everywhere else in the world is cheaper than the U.S. I will go to Obesityhelp.com and check out what they have to say. Would Ya'll go to the website and see what you think? Inexpensive Plastic Surgery with Medical Tourism | Global Surgery Center and Yayus I'm a southerner straight from Ms'ippi. And as you might know, Mississipi is the fattest state in the U.S. It is my opinion that the biggest contributor is, the steriod filled fried chicken that is rampant in the south. Every things is DEEP FRIED here....sigh....pickles, hushpuppies, chicken, okra, fish, fries, pork chops, shrimp, and now greenbeans and snickers bars, it's OUT OF CONTROL I tell ya!!!!! And have ya ever watched Paula Dean? THat's the south in a nutshell, BUTTER, BUTTER, BUTTER, and SUGAR!!!! I figure a tiny stomach is the answer to my prayers. It will control my intake and portions. Ok, here I go...to research. THANK YOU Y'ALL AGAIN !!!! Judy

Don't worry I will stay around. I'm doing my best to get my surgery as soon as possible. BTW has anyone ever heard of or used Global Medical Services, with Dr. Leino? I'm researching it now. It's a LOT cheaper than anything I've found in the States. It's in the Dominican Republic (the caribbean) THey offer a 7 day stay at a resort, with a 2 day hospital stay for your surgery. Everything together including airfare and taking my husband came out to about 10,500.00 Unbeleavible !!! Tell me something GIRLS? Is it too good to be true?

Question about protein foaming in the blender
JudyJudyJudy replied to WhiteRice's topic in Protein, Vitamins, and Supplements
I did read all those threads, I just wasn't clear on what you mix them with. SO, just protein water, crystal light with protien power, anything else? I can't see how you'd get all the protein you need with this meger diet, but I haven't learned every thing yet, just trying to take in as much as I can ahead of schedule. DO you drink all day long to get enough? DO you just sip it? Do you drink 2 oz. at a time? How do you know your full? Will you feel it, like I do now? -

Question about protein foaming in the blender
JudyJudyJudy replied to WhiteRice's topic in Protein, Vitamins, and Supplements
Hey Daisey, I was reading your note about protien shakes, can you give me some ideas on what I'll be able to drink post surgery for the first month? And how much. I want to do everything right, not foamies, no getting sick, etc. What is your best advice about this?
