Mari, Ky-hen, Gonnaloseweight and any others going to Mexicali beginning Sept 28th.....I'm scheduled for Monday. I am so looking forward to meeting all of you and sharing stories. You and I are having our surgery on the same day!!! Oh Joy !!! Are you ready? Are you nervous? I am.....We are driving to El Centro CA (just inside California from Mexicali) with our motorhome and my wonderful man Mike. He is soooo supportive. We are going to have a "broth" party in the hospital...there are going to be a lot of us there that week. We'll have a nice support group. I look forward to meeting you. Are you traveling alone? Do you know stoongal? From Canada as well. See you on the 28th!

LizzyM I'm scheduled on Monday the 28th with Dr. Aceves. I'll look you up if I'm still there. It will be nice having someone to talk to. I think there are about 5 of us scheduled that week so the ward should be full. See you then....Donna -

Anyone out there scheduled with Dr. Aceves on Monday, Sept. 28th? That's my BIG (or should I say small) day! I finally made up my mind. We leave on Saturday. I'm so nervous but I know this is the right decision. From what I have read Dr. Aceves is a wonderful Dr. and his staff is great too. Look forward to meeting some new friends and following our journey together. -

I'll be there.....mine is scheduled for the 28th so I'll be able to tell you all about it. I guess there are about 5 of us coming in that week. I thought I would give out my email so those of us going that week can stay in touch and as one "sleevester" said.....to Dr. Aceves it will seem like we planned it this way cause we will all know each other. Great idea. My email is trranch@sti.net and the name is Donna. We (my wonderful man) and I are driving down on the 26th, pre-op on the 27th and sleeved on the 28th. Looking forward to meeting all of you and sharing this new experience. -

Not everyone....I'm from Central California.....near Yosemite.....love it here. Have a "mini" ranch with loads of animals and a wonderful man. Life is great!!!

Trudy: Yes, we are driving. We live near Yosemite in California and will drive our motorhome down and stay in El Centro. My husband will be with me. I have my pre-op on Sunday, the 27th. I look forward to meeting you and beginning our journey!! Where are you coming from? -

Yes, I'll be there. My surgery is on Monday the 28th. My husband and I are driving the coach down and will stay in El Centro. I would love to meet up with you. I'm nervous, are you??? I'm 61 and 245lbs. -

Go for it. I am.....I'm 61 and this is my chance to add years to my life and that of my husband. I'm enjoying life and don't wan't to get all the obesity related things either. I'm 245 lbs, 5'4"....goal would be 140. I hope all goes well for you. I'm scheduled on the 28th with Dr. Aceves and yes, I'm nervous and excited at the same time and yes my kids are against it too..... -
