I have started the pre-op diet as well....and quit smoking-----the benifit is that I have lost 5 lbs. However I have cravings for a smoke......lol When I want a crunch---I eat cukes with balsamic vinegar on them. Mix it with a salad yummy!

:tongue_smilie: Have my date set for my surgery!! The 11th of July! I am excited, scared, nervous all the above. The only thing that is good is that my love has gone through it.....two weeks post op and she has lost twenty pounds! I am sooo looking forward to getting small.....I weigh 250 now and want to weigh 175.. My quest continues! :thumbdown:

HELLO ALL-- Some of you my beautiful fianc? had the sleeve surgery. However i am nervous about having it. I am going to start the diet as of Monday and am really scared of not being able to swallow, or not being able to get enough nutrients. I am also NERVOUS about the pain, having been through surgeries this year, shoulder, and heart cauterization. The shoulder was not pretty hurt like a bugger!! Soooooo I am having some reservations....BUTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT I want to be thin for the first time....I have only been down to 180 once in my adult life and that was 25 years ago and I am tired of carrying the extra weight. Not to mention it is now starting to effect my health. High BP and feeling old in my bones. It is TIME to do something.... Any and all impute would be appreciated. I am currently at 255 stand 5' 11' and would like to see about 175 in weight.... Am I being unreasonable with doing this? Or is it a good thing... Thanks :lol0:

HELLO ALL! My Fiance VegasAngel (and she is) :001_wub:was sleeved 6/12. We traveled to Mexico, we met the GREAT Doctor and all the great staff. I can not say enough good things about the hospital the cleanliness of the whole place or the staff---the whole darn thing was just a great experiance. I hate hospitals and I am telling you this place was soooo friendly. THANK YOU TO ALL THAT WORK THERE AND TOOK SUCH GREAT CARE OF MY ANGEL!! I am going through it with her, the ups the downs, the fears, the tears. I just wanted to say hello and tell each of you that you are a brave bunch.....my opinion. I read alot but have never posted---so here ya go.:frown1:

I might get a sleeve---right now I am just seeing how angel does. I will see if I can lose the weight 53 lbs before I make a decision however I am thinking hard about it.
