You seem soo organized...I dont know that I could ever be that together!! Your exercise regiment is amazing!! Mine seems pathetic compared to yours, but it is a whole lot more than before surgery (aka. None)...I have a personal trainer 2x's a week, and do a strenous (so I think) cardo workout on the Wii Fit.

I just wanted to update on VSG prego info...I went to my annual appt. last week with my OB/GYN. He said as long as my weight loss is steady and slow, that nutritonally supporting a pregnancy should not be a problem. He does want to update his knowledge of having a pregnant Post op WLS patient. I will call him in a couple of weeks about what he has informed himself of, but as far as what he is knowledgable of everything should be fine regarding the WLS and pregnancy. I do run an increased risk of miscarriage, b/c I've already had a miscarriage. I personally feel that miscarriage was due to my weight. I know my mom's neighbor has the bypass surgery, and has many many miscarriages before her WLS, and now post-op has 3 kiddos under 4 years old. Her 4 year old is my son's good friend! She feels WLS was her miracle fix to being able to have more babies! She also warns to be careful, she feels with her healthier weight it made her a fertile myrtle!! Hope this helps...as of this month, I officially stopped my birthcontrol, and want to start trying in the next month or two!!!

I actually plan on speaking with my OB/GYN on July 2nd about how soon we can start to try again. My reasoning for my weightloss surgery was not only to give me a new start to a healthy life, but to be in a healthy enough position to carry another baby safely to term. It's been 2 years since Ive had a miscarraige and despirately want my baby I lost. I hope he is super positive and a clearance to get to trying...I will keep you posted of the outcome!

Hi there...I was put on a Sterroid pack yesterday, as I had a Photosensitivity to the sunlight due to my current meds. It has my entire face rashed and very itchy...the sterroids are helping with the problem, but at the same time they are tearing my tiny stomach up!! I am so totally bloated and full of tummy aches!! Anyone else had problems from taking sterroids post-op? Thanks so much for the help. Crystal

Ok...at 9 months post op...my eatting habbits are most likely not what they should be. Usually in the morning I enjoy 3/4 of a packet of oatmeal flavored with applesauce and splenda. Followed by a cup of coffee *YUMMY*. Then between breakfast and lunch, I usually fill in a snack with 4 mini beef sticks and a stick of pepper Jack cheese. lunch is usually a very tiny serving of leftovers from the night before. Between lunch and supper is a snack usually consisting of fresh fruits or more beef sticks with pepper jack cheese (my favorite snack). I really do need to start tracking my eatting. I tend to feel that I do eat way too many carbs and not nearly enough protien. For supper a regular meal I will prepare is usually a beef steak and gravy with rice (I usually subsitute my rice with slightly steamed cabbage), some frozen veggies sauteed, following supper I usually enjoy ending my day with a cup of yogurt. You seem very in order and organized...what kind of eatting habits do you have this far out? I do exercise on a regular basis...I attend personal training 2x's a week for muscle toning, and I do cardio the rest of the week...I just bought a new cardio program for the Wii FIT...It's a killer!!!

Hey there MacMadame...I've been meaning to get back with you about the amounts and what I am eatting this far out. This weekend has proven to be crazy busy, leaving me just enough time online to check e-mail and that's about it! My son Graduated PRE-K Saturday!! Then we followed that with an excuse to have a party and friends at the pool!! It was great fun, but I do plan on getting back with you later today. I will talk later. Crystal

5DPT is a quick abberivation for the 5 day pouch test, where you basically eliminate carbs totally and start on liquid protiens x2days, then soft protien x2 day, then solid protien then you gradually add "good/healthy" carbs back into your diet.

I really need to kick my own behind about keeping track of what I'm eatting, and also I think the 5DPT will help me get back on track too. I think comming to a new message board will help me with the support. In the begining I would frequent at Obesity Help. I still check around on a regular basis, but seemed to get away from posting. As I drifted from that form of support, i started letting things go by the way side. I recieved an e-mail at OH about this site. It motivated me to attempt a new group of people to help support and recieve support myself with. Thank you both for the response...such a quick response really helps keep me wanting to come back. I hope that I can provide that same feeling for others as well.

Hi there everyone...I became a "sleeve sister" on September 23, 2008. Since I've begain this journey, I've lost around 55 lbs. I feel my weight loss has been very very slow, about 20 of the 55 lbs were lost preop. Aside from the slow weight loss, I am feeling great, and doing things I haven't done in about 4 years. I am the most greatful mother to an almost 5 year old son, and 3 dogs (1 a yorkie mix, 2 mini schnauzers). I have been married for 4 years to my highschool sweetheart! I currently attend a local gym, participating in personal training sessions. I believe this training has slowed my weight loss. Sadly though, over the last 6 weeks of my training I haven't lost too many inches I plan on regrouping myself, and looking at my eatting habbits from a different view point. I need to totally eliminate my carbs in the evening and definately boost my protien with supplements again (YUCK). I'm hoping soon to see my OB/GYN, and get clearance soon to begin trying to have another baby! I had a miscarriage 2 years ago, and despiartely want to try again for another baby. I feel that nurtritionally I can support a pregnancy, but still would like to lose some more weight before prego happens. I am open to any suggestions to help with my stubborn weight loss? I am truely pleased with my sleeve, I just now need to teach myself to work my tool. I don't think I learned enough in the begining, and am struggeling now. I hope this introduction letter finds everyone doing well. Thank you in advance for the response! Hope to hear from you guys! Crystal:thumbup1:
