  1. First of all, STOP THAT! You are NOT DISAPPOINTING ANYONE! You are in a battle and you're going to succeed. Don't worry about others, worry about yourself. You need to do this for you. If others think you aren't doing a good enough job, they can kick dirt. They have ZERO clue what you're going through. Remember, this is your life - they don't get to judge. I'm quite certain they aren't god! If they don't accept you unconditionally when you're struggling, they don't DESERVE you in your success! Keep your head up and do what you're supposed to. It'll all fall in line. When someone opens their yap, shove a cookie in it. Better they eat it than you

    Overeating Help!

Wow - that is definitely something to contact your surgical group about. That can be very dangerous. I hope you find an answer!

    Beer - Ouch

addiction transference happens. It does. However, it really depends on whether or not people deal with their addiction or if they just go through the motions of the surgery.

    Advice! Pls Read!

Oh and full orange juice is far better a choice than friggin Cookies or ice cream. Just make smart choices, don't repeat what brought you here. If you have to ask if its okay to eat, it probably isnt. Sent from my iPhone using VST

    No More Staring!

I love this!!! I was at a hotel this weekend with another girl from work who is in much better shape Than I am - but the guys were checking ME out. She was kinda pissy about that haha Sent from my iPhone using VST
  10. Agreed! Best thing I ever did. I had no side effects. My hubby had very Vivid and kinky dreams. If you DO have uncomfortable aide effects, don't try to power through them - stop taking it and tell your doc. They're extremely rare, but can happen Sent from my iPhone using VST

    57 Bmi? Not Anymore. 40 Bmi :)

Thanks for the kind words - it has hit us very hard here. I live about 3 miles from the theater that this happened at. We're a strong community and we will overcome this!
  14. I'm not near goal. I'm well on my way though. About the halfway point. I have dropped 17 points from my BMI. I drop another 17 points and I'll be extremely happy I'm pretty happy now, don't get me wrong - I keep seeing progress. I know I need to get busier with exercise and I am actually - I do a ton more now. Workout regimen is coming together and will be put into action. My back is feeling so much better. Between the intolerable heat and my busy schedule, I wasn't able to really do too much as far as actual "workouts" but hiking in the mountains and running all over the place, shopping, cleaning, taking the dogs for walks, and playing outside has really increased my activity levels
  15. I'm just glad you're okay! Onward to recovery!

    109

actually yes, I got diagnosed with a liver disease and during treatment for that, in order to keep my liver and kidneys from failing, I was put on HUGE amounts of steroids - which then caused steroid secreting tumors in my body, which created a huge weight gain. I gained weight from breathing. After the sleeve and having the tumors removed, life has been GRAND.

    109

109 lbs gone in less than 6 months. I'm very happy about that. I'm wearing clothes I haven't worn in years (thank god I saved them) and I feel really great. I need to work out more. I know that being more active because I can helps a lot, but I need to do the extra too. I'm so satisified with my decision on this surgery. I have ZERO regrets. I don't even regret that I didn't have it done sooner really because I think my experience wouldn't have been as great as it was with Dr. Almanza. I have had zero complications - I've not overeaten, I've not had any dumping or reactions to food. If I crave something, I have a bite and either throw the rest away or give it to my hubby to finish and I'm satisfied. I've never really had an overeating problems since I was a teenager (which wasn't about anything other than being starved by my mother) - once I dealt with that, it wasn't ever a problem. Now its more about eating all the protein that I can fit in my stomach. I take my vitamins as well. I know I need to get more veggies in and I do try. I feel that I'm on a good path and I'm looking forward to staying on it.
  18. If its a time release, it will lose its intended effect. If you need to cut a pill in half, ask your doctor to switch you to a non-time release version of the pill.
  19. Seeing after losing over 100 lbs what I'm going to have to have done - My skin is actually bouncing back pretty good so far, but it won't after I lose another 100 lbs, I'm quite sure of that. So...my list for what's going to be done (hopefully all at the same time) 1. Put the "girls" back where they belong 2. Arms 3. Tummy tuck 4. Lower body lift I think all this combined is a "full" body lift. My insurance that i have now will pay for at least some of it - i know they pay for the "removal of excess skin after weight loss" and I know they pay for breast reductions, which I'll have along with the surgery (I don't ever gain or lose there - I've always had sizable boobs) So I'm saving now for the rest of the cost. Looking for an exceptional plastic surgeon here in Denver - don't really want to travel for this one, but I will if i can't find a doc I like

    Is Popcorn Ok?

Theater popcorn has bout 2000 calories in butter alone - that's probably why. I eat popcorn maybe once every year so if I eat it at the theater, I think I'm ok If its a common thing, make sure you're limiting your serving size and what you put on it - My husband loves popcorn so I get him the 100 calorie serving size bags - that way he has enough, but doesn't gorge on it.
  21. If its not a time release - but check with your pharmacist.
  22. You should always do what you can to put yourself in better health before surgery. This is a GREAT plan. Keep working toward what you need to do to put yourself in the best condition you can. It will help with not only making sure there are less complications, but also will aide in your recovery.

    Really Freaked Out

When I hand a tumor removed fromu breast, I was awake during it and they were very very concerned about keeping the unaffected areas covered. Even told me I could keep my shorts on! Sent from my iPhone using VST

    Update-I Wonder...

Normal weight loss is a relative term. We are very different. I probably have a whole lot more to lose than you do. We were sleeved about the same time, I'm down about 115 lbs, I have another 115 to go Sent from my iPhone using VST
