  1. Hmm - I think you'll be in pain until its unstuck - which is really not measurable -

    One Extreme To Another

Wow - I've never had an issue with HBP. My normal bp before i got sick, even through most of getting sick was 90/60 with a resting heart rate of 53 (I was a runner and had no issues, so it wasn't ever a concern) With all the weight I gained, I actually have "normal" BP. I didn't ever have any issues with a drastic drop in BP when I stood or anything, however, when I first saw new doctors, they would always test me Addison's disease (thyroid insufficiency) - which oddly, I do have now. - they also tested my B12, which can cause it as well as dehydration. Make sure to drink lots of fluids - as many as you can. Check your B12 levels - you may be deficient after surgery and need a supplement.
  3. oh! WHEW! I haven't really had anything get stuck, so I'm not overly experienced, but I would guess that you would have some pretty intense pain. From what I understand, a few sips of pineapple juice will dislodge anything stuck!
  4. are you feeling physically hungry or are you just craving everything? and it might be a bit early to be eating chips, especially if you're supposed to still be liquid would hate for you to have a complication!
  5. I'm not disappointed - I've lost close to a pound a day. Of course I wish it was more - I think everyone does. I'm hoping to lose 100 lbs by June, but if i don't, I'm not gonna freak out about it. I would love to be about 250 by the time I go home to visit family. I'll keep my fingers crossed, but I'm not going to beat myself up if I'm not there.

    Best Scale For The Job?

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0032TNPOE/ref=oh_o02_s00_i00_details This is the one I bought - I LOVE it. Just be sure to have batteries on hand - it uses 2 AAA batteries, which I like better than the little expensive ones. I use rechargable batteries so I don't have to ever worry about it being wrong because of old batteries
  7. day 3 since surgery? What on earth did you eat?
  8. Its very important that you listen to what your surgeon says. There's a reason they give the 12-18 months timeframe. You don't want to have a baby that has been starved of nutrients. Its worth waiting for to have a HEALTHY pregnancy, a HEALTHY baby and a HEALTHY mom. Take your time.
  9. I'm only water submersion banned until my incisions fully heal - which is NOT happening fast enough. I miss my hot tub!

    First Nsv :)

I got up this morning and got dressed for my job interview today. WHAT A MESS! None, and I mean NONE of my clothes fit me - some were too small (granted I was expecting that) but the ones I JUST BOUGHT were too big. And not tuck here or pin there too big - TOO FREAKING BIG. I had to run to Kohls and buy new clothes because I had NOTHING to wear! I put on a pair of pants that, I was going to wear to Mexico for surgery less than 3 weeks ago and they were just too tight - not comfortable at all. Today, they're too big. I mean TOO BIG! Like awkwardly too big! I'm so excited about this! I wonder if i still have the receipt....

I'm 3 weeks out and feel like I could play now I feel so great, but I don't think it would be wise - I was told I wouldn't have any activity limitations after 6 weeks.
  12. Its not a magic pill. Its not "amazing results overnight!" We've all tried those things and they don't work. This WORKS. You're 3 weeks out - you're at that point where your body is adjusting to the changes. You're also possibly about at a time of the month. A woman's body weight can fluctuate double digits during a day because of excess Water. Are you taking in enough liquids? That's a real factor as to whether or not you retain water. Yes - toss the scale out the window (open it first ) Please don't weigh yourself for 10 days - see what happens. Just don't put all your energy into what a piece of metal with a 3 dollar battery in it has to say!
  13. awesome! I hope the rest of your experience is just as wonderful As much as I've heard about Dr. Kelly, I'm sure it will be!
  14. glad you're through surgery! so sorry you're having a hard time with it! It will only get better from here!
  15. I bet it felt like 40 oz! That's a lot of food at this stage!
  16. walk walk walk. its what will get rid of the gas. Someone also said having someone rub your back really helps. Good luck!

    Newly Sleeved

absolutely its completely NORMAL to have a stall - I know its a daunting thing dealing with a thyroid issue, which I have let alone thyroid cancer - I hope that you're recovering well from that. Keep doing what you're doing, eat lean Proteins and stay away from carbs. Eat SLOW and take your time. Best wishes!
  18. hahah I thought that said 40 oz at first. I about fell outta my chair! Dont force it - at this point, Protein drinks are still important - I still have 1 a day - sometimes 2. The premiere Protein shakes are the cat's pajamas. LOVE them try eating 5 smaller meals instead of 3 meals. Also - maybe try lemon juice instead of catsup? That catsup is full of sugar and can add up in calories and take up valuable protein space
  19. I don't think there's a problem with a doctor bringing up a weight issue with someone who is overweight - in fact, they should. However, it should happen after the reason the patient is there is resolved FIRST.

    Biking

not the day after, but yes, biking is great exercise
  21. Have you thought about taking some of your favorite things to a tailor or seamstress to see if they can be made smaller?

125 Lbs So Far--Ho Hum Day

    You are absolutely amazing!
  24. yes, while being overweight and obese contributes to a lot of physical problems, that doesn't mean there isn't medical attention for those issues while a lifestyle of proper nutrition and exercise are worked toward. ALSO, that being said, not ALL problems have to do with our weight. Some are made worse BECAUSE of weight, but that doesn't mean you can't treat. Any doctor that doesn't do anything for you and just belittles you about your weight should immediately be brought to the attention of the AMA. File a complaint. This crap is ridiculous.
