Hey Skinnies My Story Starts Painfully And Ends Painfully Lol But In A Good Way?
LilMissDiva Irene replied to Shells's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story

Stupid Commercials
LilMissDiva Irene replied to Lilee84's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Skinny people do eat that stuff, they just don't eat way too much of it or eat it all the time. I have a lot of skinnies in my family and they enjoy the occassional potato chips, or cheez-its or Micky D's when short on time - it's just not a regular habit and they don't choose everything including the kitchen sink when ordering. Mind you they are healthy too, and fit. Moderation will always be the key to long term success. -

LilMissDiva Irene replied to LilMissDiva Irene's topic in Post-op Diets and Questions
yes thats totally normal!! I woke up with a slight headache this morning and I'm having to curb the shock with some yogurt right now. Thank goodness for that or I'd have totally blown this already and I'm only on day 2. Well, count in my head start so more like day 3. Great job already!!! Whoootttt!!! -
Am I Being Hypochondriac?
LilMissDiva Irene replied to longer-life's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
It is never a bad thing to call your Doctor if you feel something isn't right. I'm hoping its nothing!! But its always to be on the safe side, find out and if it turns out to be gas - well at least you will know. I don't think there's any such thing as being a hypochondriac in being concerned over pains or anything out of ordinary for having such a major surgery. *hugs* -

Protein Drink Shaker Bottle Suggestions?
LilMissDiva Irene replied to Dooter's topic in Protein, Vitamins, and Supplements
@Libbe, hey thanks!! I'll have to hit up Wally World in the morning then. I've been wanting to go buy a few more, but they are around $7 at GNC from what I remember and that always seemed like a lot. -
How Many Of You Can Eat More Before And/ Or During That "time" Of The Month?
LilMissDiva Irene replied to Becca's topic in The Gals' Room
I don't think for me its so much that I can eat more, rather it's what I'm eating. Anything sugary, carby or snacky I really can eat a lot more of. Almost seems like I don't even have a sleeve. I heart MnMs and salty crunchy Snacks during TOM. And, they are total slider foods. Let's face it, I ain't craving baked white chicken breasts or white meat fish during my period!!! Ha! -

When To Return To Work
LilMissDiva Irene replied to Nikki613's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I think a full week is perfectly acceptable. Just be very prepared to have your liquids ready to go at all times. That's the hardest part. You might also feel some fatigue, so if there's anywhere for you to sneak a few power naps during your breaks you might want to do that too. Good luck! -
Protein Drink Shaker Bottle Suggestions?
LilMissDiva Irene replied to Dooter's topic in Protein, Vitamins, and Supplements
I purchased mine from GNC. I have 2, they work just fine. I never even need to pull out the blender or any other mechanical mixers. It has a metal springy mixer ball for the inside. -

Body Dysmorphia
LilMissDiva Irene replied to khath0620's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I have this and I have since I was a teenager. When I was at my largest I never felt or thought in my brain I was as huge as I was, and now today I still have a hard time wrapping my mind around the fact I'm rather small. Everyone tells me I am, I get constant requests to stop losing weight, in fact daily yet I continue to do my thing. I'm not going to stop anyway, I'm currently working on shaping up for the summer time. My belly feels and to me looks big and I want it taken care of. I think everyone is jus so used to seeing other very large people and they don't know what a real normal thin person looks like. I admit I was the same way. I'll even go so far as to say some people I thought were extremely thin when I was very heavy to me now I can see them able to lose a few pounds. May sound rude, but its how I view them. Interesting topic! -
I Want To Let Everyone Know It's Okay To Not Be Perfect
LilMissDiva Irene replied to TheRealSouthernBelle's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
LOL It's always so amazing to me how this even needs to be argued. It's simply unrealistic to think one will never indulge in "bad" foods. I enjoy myself, but I understand majority of the time I have to do the right thing. IMO, its that defeatist attitude that kept getting me in trouble. Now, I just have that "bad" food and move on. So over it. -
Ewww Im getting that yucky ketosis flavor in the back of my throat already. Blechh!!

Gonna Get To Goal. Wanna Join Me?
LilMissDiva Irene replied to coops's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Diva, do you burn 1,000 calories a day? I'd love to do that. How long does it take you? @Lila, yes when I'm being a very very good girl, I can burn 1,000 calories in a day - no problem. I've already burned 750, so with tonights workout I will exceed that. I have to do my Wednesday Callanetics which doesn't burn much so I might have to settle on a little extra 15 minute burner on the stationary bike. For me to do my 1k burns I have to log about 2-2.5 hours workout in a day. :wink1: -

How Long Post Op Before Food?
LilMissDiva Irene replied to Lilee84's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
May I suggest that if anyone needs to move along faster to another stage to please check in with your health care professionals first. That's why they get paid the big money. Make em earn it. Usually a simple call will do the trick, and you will be sent or directed with an alternate eating plan. -
Food And The First 2 Weeks Of The Gastric Sleeve
LilMissDiva Irene replied to Jellyfish's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
It IS unrealistic to think any of us will never eat "bad" foods again. I certainly do, I won't hold that back! I'll tell you what, life in maintenance is a whole heckuva lot easier than pre-op. I do workout a lot so I simply don't gain weight. If I'm eating healthy majority of the time, and doing my workouts - I'm maintaining. For me, it's just that simple. I did have to diet a lot though to get all the weight off. But I'm pretty much relaxed now (well not RIGHT now, trying to get toned back up...) and it's really nice. BTW, BBQ chicken is not considered a bad food choice. It's pretty tasty and has a lot of Protein. -
Scheduled....but Lingering Question Is 'am I Messing With God's Work'.
LilMissDiva Irene replied to vsgm's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Yes!! You will still be the same person... except a smaller, happier and yes... even more fun version of you. The moment they are able to wrap their lil arms around you, you will know.
