How Long Do You Wait Between Drinking?
LilMissDiva Irene replied to mrsteacher's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
You won't trust me. Your sleeve will only open up from being swollen due to surgery. I'm going on 2 years out after this summer and my capacity is still quite tight. Believe me when I tell you, I love to eat and a lot!! If anyone on this website were capable of stretching out their sleeve, it would be me... but to date I haven't. -

Girl I do not disagree with you! I do have to keep up with my walking / running though. I'm doing a 5K next month and I've let my running go out of shape. I can't run for more than 10 minutes at a time yet, so I have to keep that moving. I also feel bad if I don't do my elliptical / stationary bike... lol What to do... what to do... -
How Long Do You Wait Between Drinking?
LilMissDiva Irene replied to mrsteacher's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I just answered this question (similar) in another thread: Do not worry, as time goes on it will get a lot easier to get your Water in. In the mean time here's what I did for the first few months post op to ensure I was getting all my water in: I would fill up 4 - 16 Oz bottles full of water every early morning. I would then make sure I was getting One down every few hours. First bottle by 9AM, Second by Noon, Third by 3 PM then the last by 6 PM. That's 64 Oz of water which is sufficient until you can fit more in. Also, I do know that if my water was too cold I couldn't get it down easily. Make it cool temperature, this seemed to helped me a lot. All the best and welcome to the losers bench!! -

Sosmething Is Wrong And I Need Opinions
LilMissDiva Irene replied to shavone25's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Agreed with all above, please call your Dr. Likely it is low blood sugar too, so in the mean time drink about 8 Oz of G2 - see how that helps. *hugs* -

What's Up Vst Gym Rats! January/february 2012
LilMissDiva Irene posted a topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Well it has been WAAYYY too quiet in here lately. I'm telling you, I think that's just downright terrible. I'm guilty too so I'm getting this party started NOW!! I have decided that 2012 will finally see me arrive, and arrive I will. I still need to tone up in a lot of areas, and I fully intend to see to it that my Summer is the best I've ever had. So, I have decided to challenge (oh yes there's that naughty word again... LOL) myself to do a MINIMUM of 30 minutes workout (any) every single day. Starting January 1 and going through February 29th!! Yeah, I get an extra day this coming year!! Then, from that point I am going to hit the wonderful world of the P90X. (ohhh what???) That would dutifully require it's own thread of course. Anyway, I just have to get this over and done with because I'm ready to just enjoy all my hard work. Don't get me wrong, I do - but the finishing touches are still needed. There's always something more that can be worked out. I will be checking in here for sure, every single day to keep accountable. I'd like to see more pop by and get back to your routines. Come out, come out - where ever you are! -
Craving Pizza, Surgery Tuesday. Help!
LilMissDiva Irene replied to Misstxdiva's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
STAY STRONG!!! This is likely going to be the hardest test you will go through right now. It is really REALLY hard pre-sleeve. Just know this going in, when you come out of surgery you will have a few weeks of relief from food cravings. You only have a few days to get through. I did a lot of praying for strength back then (I do still to this day!!!) and it really helped a lot. I don't know what your beliefs are, but whatever you have to do - meditate - look deep inside yourself and FILL YOURSELF WITH POSITIVE SELF TALK!!! You CAN do this, you really really can! May your day be filled with peace and much patience. Again, STAY STRONG!!! Something else to consider, you will want to go into your surgery as healthy as you possibly can. This is a big deal, and the Surgeon is going to have sharp instruments inside you. The reason he is having you go through this pre-op diet is to shrink your liver. Fatty livers are huge and slippery, and shrinking it as much as possible as well as having as much fat released from it will help it not be so slippery too. It is for your health's sake you should not stray from your diet. *hugs* -
I did it, I did it... I DID IT!!! I made it through my liquids. I feel sooo amazing! Sugar is OUT yet I'm packed full of energy. Life's good, and now Summers gonna have to take a back seat because this girl IS HOT!!! May all your Weekends be fabulous as you are!!

Every Day I Wake Up It's A New Story...
LilMissDiva Irene posted a blog entry in LilMissDiva's Corner
Hello VST... So last night I was really getting down on myself because I knew it was time to challenge "me" with better eating. I've been going through a lot of emotional dramas lately and I've found that my eating habits have been downright stinking it up. Well, I'm tell you this! There's no way that can become a habit because quite literally I've gone through far too much to slip back into the old me. No way no how!! So last night I made a pact with myself... I have a 60 challenge coming up. It's called the Insanity! Challenge. I don't know if any of you know what this is, but here's a link if you'd like to check it out. Anyway, upon completion you send in your before and after photos to Beachbody and they will send you a prize T-Shirt with the Insanity! Logo on the front, and "I earned it" written across the back. Heck yeah!! Are you kidding me? I'm so going to wear this every chance I get this summer. I know I'm physically capable of doing it. It may be tough but I will DEFINITELY do it!! My motto has always been "Every day is a new chance to start over". I believe this with all my heart, and quite honestly is the sole reason I got to where I am today. My attitude always kept positive that I will get to my goal and I got here. Whatever that means... but now I'm wanting to work on my fitness level. I'm taking it to the next step now, and I'm excited about it. HOWEVER... I cannot do that if I keep eating junk! Last night I decided I needed to do the flush to get those sugar demons out of my body. I know some of you have heard of my Basics Bootcamp? Well, I've tried to start it a few times, but haven't really been able to grasp on. So, I needed to do something a little deeper, hardcore and unforgiving. That's right... the dreaded liquid diet. AUUGGHHHH!!! I've been avoiding this like the black death but you know what? If I don't do this I'll likely just waste more time getting back on track. So... Here I am nearly 21 hours into this. I'm doing 2 full days of liquids, which ultimately translates into a total of 62 hours without food. I'm drinking 64 Oz. per day of water, 4 - 8 Oz servings of G2, Unjury Chicken Soup 3x (which translates to my Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner) and for my 3 Snacks I'm doing an Atkins Advantage RTD. *Whew*!!! Once the two days are up, I plan to do 3 days of super clean eating which every meal will consist of lean protein and green veggies. After that I'll go back to my mindless sleever rules and stick to good healthy meals. Right around lunch time today I already began to miss food!! I felt a little panicky and I heard that voice in my head saying "Oh it's okay... you've done good today - think about what you're going to have for dinner..." So I decided to leave a status on Facebook to get it out of my mind! I must do this!! I need to detoxify my body and brain from sugar and I'd really love to drop some water retention if I can. If not, oh well - but I have to get over this sugar. Wow... I feel better already getting all my thoughts out. If you're still with me (because I know I can go on forever if I really wanted to) thank you for listening and reading. -

What Are You Looking Like?
LilMissDiva Irene replied to Anewlifeforme23's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'll tell you what.. I'm a far greater fan of losing inches than pounds. I weigh 170 Lbs but I dare anyone to guess that without knowing it first!! It's so much fun shopping and buying such tiny clothes, putting on a Small top rather than a 3-4X which is what I was wearing at my heaviest, or 28W pants that actually fit tight! My pants sizes are all over the place depending on how they're made or who makes them (Levi's tend to run small those jerks!!). I have a big booty, so if the pants don't allow for that I have to buy bigger sizes... but oh well. Tell me, I never EVER thought I'd put on a pair of pants with a ZERO on the tag. Ha!! Of course I can only wear that one pair in zero but so what (NYDJ)? It's still a 0... I'm healthier today than I have ever been in my entire life as well. Which for me is the most important thing. BTW: I was sleeved on 9/15/10 so that makes me nearly 19 months post op. -
Just keep smiling my dear... it makes them wonder what you're really thinking. If they only knew. These women are miserable and probably feeling very self conscious being around you, as well they should. Just keep doing you!

Band To Sleeve
LilMissDiva Irene replied to crystal525's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Hello Crystal, welcome to VST!! I'm also a revision from band to sleeve as of 9/15/10. IMPO, my sleeve surgery was far more successful for me than my band ever was. I'm hoping all goes smooth with your surgeries/insurance issues. Keep us updated on how you're doing! Read up here and there, especially the revision forums. All the best and many blessings!! -
Carbs Carbs And More Carbs
LilMissDiva Irene replied to Leederz's topic in Post-op Diets and Questions
During my hardcore weight loss months, I was getting around what you are right now. I personally don't see anything wrong with your intake, are you losing? If so, I say if it's not broke, don't fix it. However, how much Water are you drinking too? That makes a major difference. -
Just had the strongest desire to eat food... UGHH!! :-( Must keep going!! Only have about 25 more hours, I can do this!! I know I can, I know I can, I KNOW I CAN!!!

I feel OUTSTANDING today!!! I'm very shocked, but dangit doing all liquids yesterday actually wasn't all that difficult. Up until lunch time I had cravings but pretty much after that I was good. I got this!!! My 60 days starts Monday. I'm gonna SO KILL IT!!!
