Me In A Bikini... Say It Isn't So!
LilMissDiva Irene replied to LilMissDiva Irene's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
Thank you all! I'm feeling so great, and it just doesn't seem to come down from this constant high!! Life is truly truly better on the other side. Is life perfect? Of course not, but not having the fat suit on all day I have to say has made it all worth going through. Hugs!! Keep fighting every single day, and never ever give up! Wake up every morning with a new opportunity to work towards making it a great day, that is how I worked my program - and it works... it really does! Now, for the record - I have had breast augmentation and some Liposuction in my problem areas. However that is all I've had, I have NOT had any skin removal whatsoever. I do plan to in the future, so I can only imagine how amazing my results will be once I'm healed up from all that. GOOD LUCK AND BLESSINGS!!! -

My Insanity! Journey... Shaun T Would Be So Proud. ;)
LilMissDiva Irene posted a topic in Fitness & Exercise
Getting my Thread on because this is where I'm going to journal all my Thoughts and Daily updates as I go through that crazy workout routine AKA Shaun T's Insanity! Scared and Curious at the same time. I've already taken my Befores and I do plan to keep taking weekly photos. Should be fun!!! Not only do I want to see the Afters but the In-Betweens can be just as telling and motivating. It's nice to get an idea on how far you've come as well as how far you need to go. It sure helps when traveling more than a hundred miles, seeing the road signs along the way. 60 Miles to HOME. Looking forward to it all, and it will be nice to have a few of you reading along!!! Especially if any of you have ever given this routine any thought. Well, you will get second hand experience through my journal. So the routine begins Early AM Monday Morning. According to the Workout Calendar that is the day it says to start. It also calls to have Sundays off. Now, I'm used to taking Mondays off, but I really want and NEED to stick to the plan so I'll just go along with Sundays. Who knows, maybe I'll like them better. Anyhow, along with that routine I'm moving my "machines" to the evening hours. THAT'S gonna be tough!! But, I have to do it because I'm re-training for a 5K event in May. So here's how my weekly workout routine will look for the next 8-10 Weeks. Sunday: Off Monday: 4AM - Insanity! 4PM - 50 Minutes on the Treadmill; 30 Mins Light Toning Tuesday: 4AM - Insanity! 4PM - 20 Mins Stationary Bike; 30 Minutes Elliptical Wednesday: 4AM - Insanity! 4PM - 50 Minutes on the Treadmill; 30 Mins Light Toning Thursday: 4AM - Insanity! 4PM - 20 Mins Stationary Bike; 30 Minutes Elliptical Friday: 4AM - Insanity! 4PM - 50 Minutes on the Treadmill; 30 Mins Light Toning Saturday: 4AM - Insanity! 4PM - 20 Mins Stationary Bike; 30 Minutes Elliptical Am I crazy? Probably... but this is what my life's going to look like for the rest of March through May!! Bring it!! -

The Secret Of My Success
LilMissDiva Irene replied to LilMissDiva Irene's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
Hi there S&H! Listen you ARE worthy! Okay? I think perhaps we all have spent way too much of ourselves thinking that is true. So there, you ARE!! Keep pushing no matter what. If you fall, just get back up. Like when we were kids learning to ride a bike. Something in us kept making us want to keep trying... well that's us as adults now. Except now we are trying to save our lives. It's a lot of work! I won't lie - I didn't get these results by doing nothing. I work out and I work out hard. You probably already know that, I gather... lol Are you on MFP? Sometimes its hard for me to distinguish the user names here and there. Keep working hard! You've definitely got it in you, I can tell. -
I'm always being asked how or what I did to get to where I am now. I'm always happy to answer any questions anyone brings to me, because I completely understand. I mean, I've been through it - the ups, the downs, the in-betweens... and I had even considered writing up a huge novel-like post to spell it all out. But life got in the way, and here I am today. Time got away from me and my project fell off the map. That's okay because I think that made the picture in my mind that I was trying to canvass a lot more clear. I'm seeing the forest for the trees now - and I have to tell you, the secret of my success is far more simple than I ever thought. Finally early this morning as I was getting ready for work I started to simplify all the things I did that worked for me, and here is what I came up with: The 5 P's to my success: Positivity. Patience. Persistence. Push Fluids. Protein First. Minding my Q's: Quit the Salt. Quit the Sugar. Quit the Excuses. Quit the Denial. Avoiding the C's: Candy, Crackers, Cakes, chocolate, Cookies, chips, popCorn, iceCream. When it comes down to it, these are the things that got me to where I am today. Seriously, nothing more and nothing less. I mean sure, I worked out and a lot - but I've got that covered with Persistence AND Quit the Excuses... Blessings to you all. You'll get there, just keep doing all the right things!! I know, I say that all the time, and you ask - "well, what's that"?? Now, I've got "All the right things" written out on your screen. The Secret Of My Success
LilMissDiva Irene replied to LilMissDiva Irene's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
Kathy... no. That is a huge misconception people have, I worked out to the best of my ability, but no that did not keep me from gaining all that weight. Eating too much and way too high calorie foods did. So you see, now that I have my food issues under control I am now at goal, fitter than I ever have been... and happier too. Good luck with your journey. -

How Often Do You Record Measurements?
LilMissDiva Irene replied to Musharooni's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I actually measure my inches every week. I get excited even if I lose a quarter inch! LOL I have a spreadsheet I log all my info in as well. All recorded and forumulated to keep tabs on all lost/gained/totals. It's my Sunday morning ritual. That along with recording my photos, weight and body fat. -
2 Success Posts In 1 Day? Whattt?!?!
LilMissDiva Irene posted a topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
Well, I did it y'all!! My Body Fat is now down to 18.2%. At 330 Lbs, it was nothing but a wild dream to ever think I'd be right here where I am today. I am floored, seriously!!! I usually only check on Sundays, however for the last few days I've been feeling incredibly thin. Thinner that I have yet and so far. So I checked and wow... My goal was 19%.. so I one upped it.. heehee!! I have a feeling it will even go lower, which is fine. As long as I don't go below 13.8% I will be fine (for my age group that should be the minimum) but DEFINITELY no lower than 11.3%. On to the next phase of my life y'all - just to maintain my current frame and get my head in the books. Yes, this Semester I'm starting my schooling to become a Professional Fitness Expert and Nutritionist. I will specialize in the Super Obese and Bariatric patients. I am SO looking forward to this new chapter in my life. My all the goodness bring blessings to each and every one of you. Keep your chin up! It takes time to get here where I am... patience my darlings. I'm going on 2 years post op in September. -
