I'm staying on plan today because yesterday was a disaster! -
It's still creepy, even if no one hears it. So I say yes. Speaking of creepy, that is how I feel about clowns.

I know this all too well. I was on a plateau for TWO freakin' years!! I would bounce from 175 up to 185 and back down again. It wasn't until I got my band that the weight started to drop again. I do believe you have to change your routine to get results on the scale again. More vigorous exercise, keeping your calories above 850, but not more than 1300, etc. Sometimes though, your weight just needs to slow down to catch up with your size. I'm thinking I'm about due for a bit of a plateau again soon. Hopefully I'm wrong!!

Thanks for that! They ARE gross and dispicable. If I ever see one at someone's house that I am staying over at, I'm so afraid one will try to crawl on me while I sleep, so needless to say, me no sleep. At all. What if I open my mouth and it tries to crawl in there while I'm talking... or what if one accidently gets mashed into the food they are cooking or... need I go on? Ack!

I won't give you any of those canned responses as I can see you might have gotten them all already. Maybe you can measure your loss on things other than just the scale. Maybe keep a measurement loss. You should measure all parts of your body like your neck, your bustline, your waist, your hips, your arms (upper and lower), your legs (upper and lower), your wrists and ankles... etc. One of those areas are usually sure to show results. Also, how are your clothes fitting? Do you have something you can use as incentive? Like, go shopping and buy a cute pair of jeans or something that are maybe one to two sizes too small (preferably two). Try them on once a week to see how much more you can get them up, or better. Make it something that you can wear to an outing coming up or something formal. I bought a beautiful gown that I plan to wear to a wedding in July. It is a size 14 and I bought it just a few weeks after my surgery. I could barely get the darn thing over my head. Well now I have no trouble doing that, and I have maybe only 20 more pounds to get it zipped! :biggrin2: There are so many ways to measure our successes, and many things to keep our sights on our goals!

Jaime, congrats on your weight loss so far. You are doing a fantastic job, and it shows!! By the way, love that hair - so pretty! :tongue_smilie:

Milkshakes. They go down so easy. Just kidding of course! :tongue_smilie: When I go to Fast food places, I just get a sandwich (burger, chicken or fish, whatever sounds good at the time) and remove the bun. Not totally healthy, but not something I'll totally give myself a complex over either. I don't do that often enough to worry about it. Besides, I can never finish it anyway. However, I think Taco Bell might have some of the best choices. Someone in my support group even mentioned it the other day. He likes to run through the TB DT and get a bean/cheese burrito. Lots of Protein, not many calories and most likely you can't even finish the whole thing.

What the heck is "rep power"?
LilMissDiva Irene replied to Gibson's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Your rep power comments given to you can be found on the very bottom of your UserCP page. :tongue_smilie: -
What food gets stuck the most?
LilMissDiva Irene replied to Officeslave's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Please be careful to never overfill your pouch! So many problems can arise from that. If you are overeating by as much as you are writing out here, I suggest you go to your surgeon and confess. Your surgeon will give you the hard truth of what can happen when you do this. Once again, it is really unsafe to eat like that. -
That's great joyaddin, I'm so glad you are losing those pounds. True it does come off slower than other surgeries, but we are learning how to eat proper portion, and we are learning to be healthy! Congrats!

I'm also curious what makes your "rep power" go up. I think it might be things like, length of time on LBT, number of posts and possibly number of rep points? Any know? -

We are pretty much not too far off. I've lost 32 pounds post surgery. The majority of the weight I've lost was pre-surgery. I guess that's not so bad either, but I just wanted you to know I think you're doing great yourself. Believe me, I'm not perfect. I do the best I can, but sometimes those little snackies call me! Especially those little weekend snackies and they are the ones that have noooo trouble going right down!! And of course, it's the weekend... Stay sweet! -

That is so sweet, thanks for that! :biggrin2: It takes alot of guts to get the courage to do that, so you made my day. I wish you much success!! :w00t: -
((((((Elaine U)))))) I'm so sorry to hear of your struggles right now. I don't really know what I can say to get you back on track, except that you just have to climb back up on the wagon. Here's my hand, I'll help you up! Think of it this way, you couldn't have gained back too much, if any. That is what is so great about the band. You have to really try hard to gain that weight back. But you can, please remember that. You have come so far and have gone through so much to get where you are now, don't let that negativity back into your world. It will not end up good for you. If you would like to talk one on one, PM me and we can talk. Please remember to take care of yourself, you only have one life to live, so live it happy and healthy!! YOU DESERVE IT!!

Good luck to those of you trying to reach Onederland by July. I pulling for you! :biggrin2: That is so great!! Hopefully when I get close enough there will be others here close too so we can start a challenge like this. I am so looking forward to it... I'm already thinking I should be there by September.

What food gets stuck the most?
LilMissDiva Irene replied to Officeslave's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I've had some issues with pancakes(since the beginning), applesauce and breads lately. I really haven't had any other problems. I do my best to remember to chew thoroughly and eat tiny bites and take my time. I've had a few problems though when I'm not fully concentrating on my eating techniques. I am more restricted first thing in the morning. It takes me awhile to drink only half of my decaf, then I try to get down a Protein shake for Breakfast. I try to eat a very small banana around 8AM and it takes me about an hour to do. I like to eat one every day for the potassium. -
Lori, I hear ya! I wish I were able to give more support, but I find myself in the same boat every month. Great losses until that time, and then a minor gain. But it does fall back off quick if that's any help!

Thanks for the reply. I really am always bumping into it all the time. *Pseudo kudos since I've given out too much already today!*
