    Wow. What a profound and spectacular speech by our new President Barack Obama. Congratulations to all of us who seen in him hope and strength, but most important the intelligence this man has. How refreshing. The fact he is other than white is of no relevance to me personally. True, this is not a political only thread, however this is an anything thread. Political is something, so I'm going there. Welcome to your Re-birth AMERICA!!
  5. Big... whats up?? Well I finished the challenge! Did you? ;o) Well if not that's okay, you are doing fantastic. I'm taking a break now because I'm doing the www.5daypouchtest.com diet starting today. Funny but I haven't lost any weight in the last week. My body needs rest right now I think. I have been staying away from all junk food and fast food too. It's tough!

    Ok, I've been doing my running and calisthenics in there too. I'm pooped! I need a break and I'm taking one after Monday (Day 10). I'm also going to do the 5 day pouch test. Need to shrink that pouch! NO workouts during that time. My body needs the rest.

    biggest loser - '09

    I finally watched last night during my stationary bike routine. I love working out and watching at the same time. Gives me so much motivation! When Bob was going through the little tiff with Joelle and he would count down the 30 seconds, I would pump up the volume to the bike as hard as I could... it was great. I got p'd though because Joelle would give up 5-10 seconds early. I mean c'mon. You can push it an extra 5-10 seconds. She's a slacker. I don't watch the show ever until the next day, I DVR it. I avoid this thread like the plague so I don't see any spoilers. It's fun though! I'll always get the last word in most likely. This season is really good! I'm rooting for Dan this time. I can't even imagine... as I used to starve myself in HS just so I wouldn't be the tiniest bit overweight. I also used to do things I'm not really proud of to stay that way. It messed up my metabolism for sure, and I struggle now. I'm a completely different person now, and even though I have a moment here and there that I just want to have a little something greasy, I always get back to business. Dan's partner not only ate two hotdogs and a large plate of fries, but I also noticed he polished off a pretty big burger too. Amazing. I'm sure Dan would be appalled. The green girl... she definitely fudged her numbers knowing she was safe this week. It will work to her advantage most likely next week. TTFN

    Ezma! Congrats on the house! I hope you get your VDay dinner, that would be super nice!! Okay, last night I did my 10 miles on my stationary bike in 37:40, and I did my TM this morning 2.2 miles in 31:50. Getting better!! I myself am looking forward to a day off. I haven't had a workout day off in over a month I think. I finish up my 10 day / 100 miles challenge on Monday. I think after that I am going on the 5 day pouch test to shrink up my pouch and taking a few days off. I won't have the energy to anyway, because of the little food and calories. Oh well, sounds good!

    SnT, yep. tap, crazy story and I agree completely - but a little common sense could have been applied right there. To all those going through this crazy freeze... um, -48° is that normal for you guys? That sounds Antarctic to me. I didn't have a clue temps got like that here in the US (mainland).

    grandmasandy, You are very close to trolldom. I'd pipe down a tad really. PS, you are being a bit of a hypocrite by starting this thread. It is not Lap-band related. Take a chill pill, enjoy all the great benefits this site has. We don't want to talk all Band all day all night. If that is what you are looking for, then this may not be the place for you. Again, there is no law stating you can't start your own place of Band Worship. Enjoy your day! :sneaky:

    Dearest grandmasandy, This thread is properly placed in the Rants and Raves area, buried and secluded. Please note this when telling us when and where to talk about this or other subjects besides the "lap-band". If you would like a playground where you only talk of the Lap-Band, there is plenty of WWW space for you to create your own website. All Lap-Band and no play would make this a VERY dull board.     Did you exercise today?

    Ugh! 3 am is early!! 2.2 miles 33:40. Trying to get that under 30:00 before hitting extra distance. I'd probably tack on an extra half mile and get that under 35:00 minutes. My ultimate goal is to get that 3.2 miles under 40 Minutes. That would be ideal and I'd stick with that for awhile. Last night I did my 10 miles on the stationary bike w/up to 4 resistance... took a bit over 37 minutes. Then I rested for 30 minutes and did half hour of Calisthenics. Not bad.

    Countdown to your Bandiversary!

    Wow, I can't believe I am nearly seven weeks out from my first Bandiversary. I also can't believe how much I've struggled for the last four months! I was doing so good for so long.. I was really kicking butt, then something snapped inside me and I can't really put my finger on it. Complacency? Scared? Uninterested? AADD? Cockiness? Maybe a little of all those things combined... but the fact is I need to make a change right here and right freakin now! I had surgery for goodness sake! I don't regret it.. no not at all -- even though I have gained some weight back. Yes, I am at good restriction too. It's me and I know it. I'm not making the right choices. Why lie? If I do I'll just keep going down the same road. So right here and right now I am openly going to set a goal in front of all my Vicotorious Valentines and claim I will lose one pound per week leading up to my Bandiversary date of February 11th, 2009. I was all the way down to 227 for awhile then the "snapped" happened. So now I just need to "SNAP OUT OF IT!!!" As of this morning I was back up to 253. :shades_smile: So I claim now that if I lose the minimum (so I have less chance of failing and giving up) of one pound per week, on February 11th, 2009 - I will weigh 245. So that is my goal weight for my Bandiversary. No I am not going to hog up the spotlight here either. If you would like to set a goal for yourself for your Bandiversary, join me! I need all the company I can get. Sheeah... and thanks for listening. LOL

    HHHHhhhhhhh... smell that? Those are called *Fresh* onions! Okay, pjtp that I'm full too... still and I ate like 4 hours ago. My port is popped out like one of those turkey things when its done. Does that make any sense?
