Thanks! -
Oh yeah I've been there before!

ITA, and I personally deal with this idea every day. I'm trying to learn to balance that. Small portions once in awhile = okay. Big sloppy plates all day long = not okay. IMO, they were both wrong.

Ugh! I hate scary movies. Some I've seen once when I was around 7 and my Dad used to let us watch whatever we wanted were Amityville Horror, The Shining and The Exorcist. Nightmares for weeks! My Dad was one of those Hippie types and never really thought about the consequences of letting small children watch that kind of stuff. I'm proof to this day that is not a good idea. I just want to add that slasher films ARE NOT SCARY. They are just disgusting. Disgusting does not equal scary. I just don't understand why anyone would want to watch people being mutilated or otherwise. I refuse to watch any of those types of movies. I am a hypocrite to that when it comes to Nightmare on Elm Street though (the first one). That was a good movie.

Haha! Now I don't even need my second cup of coffee after that one... maybe just a ciggy (no, I don't smoke). ...or one of those up and comers in the movie biz. OMG, I'm so gonna be banned for that one. I know she lives somewhere I never want to be. I need sunshine! -

Calling the Victorious Valentines

Jaime, it's so nice to see you back! That being said, any kind of stress can seriously derail someone. Therefore I can completely understand where you are coming from. One of these days you are going to wake up again with that drive to do the bandster way. In the meantime I am here for you, as well as the rest of us I'm sure. Hang in there. ((((((((Jaime))))))))) -
That's one famous halo, I'll say...:crying: Wow you all are really on it!!
-
Well, I'm not sure its that much of a gimmick - but there are a few questionable things. I'm still not quite sure how Yellow sister gained, but being that she was extremely stressed it was possible. Now, that being said - I'm not all that depressed she's gone. Mmm'kay? Yeah that was the first thing I thought. I felt my eyeballs roll to the top of my head. Wow - how does he get away with that garbage? They very clearly keep shooting themselves in the foot keeping ripple dad around. ITA about the cousins. As of tonight I am no longer rooting for them. I'm all about put up and shut up. I know for a fact because I'm going through it personally right now... Great, feel better? Moving right along...

This in-vitro thing is getting a little bit ridiculous. Okay, I can see the whole point of wanting to have HEALTHY children, but picking eye or hair or skin color? Sounds like the elitists in New York City and Lala Land are into this kind of stuff and scientists are working on this. What do you think? Is this taking IVF too far? Where does it stop? Should picking personality traits, genders and physical looks too much? Where do we draw the line? I saw this on the Today Show. LOL!! Hubbies like that are one in a million. My hubbie loves to hear his own voice most of the time I think. If this gets back to him I'll deny it til my dying day! ________________ Jump by Van Halen. You know, I just realized I'm aging myself here. -

LOL! I'm really good at just ignoring people on GP. I see the halo and I look away. I haven't tried NS, but for lunch at work everyday I eat the boxed low cal/fat meals. It helps a lot. For dinner I just like to eat what I want, just much, much less of it. I do like the idea of not even thinking about what I'm going to have for lunch. When I'm at the Grocer I find the brand that's on sale and buy em out. Then I stack em in the freezer, and the next one in line is what's for lunch. Yum! -
When you need to lose 200+ pounds, how do you get started with exercise?
LilMissDiva Irene replied to momster0's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
((((((momster))))) Although you are in the 60+ bmi range, I was very close. I was about a 55 bmi when first starting. I completely empathize with you. It's certainly very scary to get started, and the feeling of humilition is an easy deterrant to keep you from doing what you need to do. The first thing to do is to start slow. Your body needs get acclimated to the idea of exercise. Jolting your body with a major amount of exercise will only prevent you from doing it as often as you need. If you haven't worked out in a very long time or if you never have, working those muscles for the first time is going to rear its ugly head! I would recommend a few very light things. Like lightweight weight training. Perhaps something 3-5 Lbs. Give your body a day's rest in between working certain muscles. If you can get a treadmill in your house, do that. Start slow, the treadmill can run a havoc on your knees, I'm testament to that! Build up to the moment when you feel comfortable enough to go outside and get some fresh air and sunshine. It makes you feel awesome, and I'm sure once you get used to walking outside, you will always want to. See what you've been missing out on! Take your time, and in time the pounds drop and your confidence skyrockets. You will do great!! Let us know how it goes. -
Great question! Unfortunately I am a woman so I'm unable to respond to this here, as this is the "Men's Room". JTA: It's messy in here, mind cleaning it up a bit?
