*Susan* revision from band to sleeve
LilMissDiva Irene replied to *susan*'s topic in Revision Weight Loss Surgery Forums (NEW!)
That is true, I'm not a big fan of the flavors but when you need a clear Protein they are really it. To me they don't taste all THAT bad, but if there was something better I'd go for the latter. Alas, there isn't anything else, so I just drink up. You're awesome! Thanks for all your knowledge on this subject. I really am still going to try to get the most out of my band while I have it. However, I will hope one day that I can save up enough for a revision. I can already see it on the horizon and I'm only a year out. Thank you Daisy for this info, I was about to ask this too. Now, one more question - is this US prices or does anyone have any other prices available that are less than? -

Have You Seen Her? -- Chi-Lites -
I think Bob is one side of the scales and Jillian is the other. Together they even out. I like them both. I remember when Jillian left during Season 3 I think? Well, that show sucked. Big time. I missed her.

My movies for this weekend: Five People You Meet in Heaven The Five People You Meet in Heaven - Movie (2004) | LocateTV I give it a 3. I liked it and it held my interest. I bought the book some time ago and I haven't yet read it, but all things considered I prefer to see the movie first before reading the book. I find that when I go in this order, I'm not usually disappointed in the movie. Movies rarely hold candles to the book... so if I love the movie, chances are I'll thoroughly enjoy the book! Road House Road House - Movie (1989) | LocateTV I give it a 3 1/2. Hahahahaaaaa!! Don't know what else to say, but I do recommend it.

I have to tell you, just when I think I'm about to fall off the wagon and start doing what I want, I remember that I have to admit it. It's really working. No I'm far from perfect, but having to write it out and recognize that I'm not doing the right thing really opens my eyes. Thank you so much for your continued support! You are what keeps me motivated!! -

March 16, 2009 Eating: No record… sorry! Exercise: 6pm: 30 minutes Stationery Bike. 7+ Miles Daily Weigh In: 247.8. +0.2 from yesterday and -7.4 running. Moods/Thoughts: I’m not even going to get into it this morning because I was really bad yesterday. I didn’t even post anything, but the site has been doing its thing so no love lost. I’m even going to make it quick today for the same reason. My eating started off good yesterday, but I ended the day in a bad way. I’m not even going to say much on that, only today I’m going to be especially good. I don’t even feel good today! I’ll be good today folks. I have a reputation to uphold! LOL!! I did my workout so at least I have that to be proud of. I’m always pretty good about that. I won’t be able to do my outside walk today however because it’s a rainy mess here. Hopefully tomorrow will clear up, because I really miss it when I can’t do that! Now, before you say in your head – “why not do the Treadmill”? Well some of you may already know that I’ve been diagnosed with arthritis in my knees, and my orthopedist told me I’m not to do the TM anymore. Awwww!! Haha! I guess the belt pulls on my knees and give me a huge amount of trouble. My knees have thanked me much for staying off. I’ll just have to get my walks in when I can do it outside. My weigh in… *sigh* Well, my bad eating showed today. I gained a slight amount. I guess I better get with it! I hate writing all this crap out. It’s embarrassing!!! I guess I’ll take my medicine today you guys. It’s what I’m expecting. Grrr… See you all tomorrow! -

Fantastic! That is always a great day!! Okay um... Yeah. Did he tell her she could drive to her closest store and buy one for about 2 bucks? Just sayin... What a blessing! He sounds amazing! *raises hand* I've got a good one too! We've been together going on 15 years. We got married after only four months of meeting. He's super affectionate, never lets a day go by without telling me he loves me or how beautiful I look, even when I know I'm looking bummy... LOL ...and he takes out the trash without being asked... what more is there to want in a man! LOL!! green, your from Canada? That explains the "eh", eh? haha! Ohhhh a new baby on the forums (someday)... yayayayayyy!!! Congrats! travel of the mind gone... travel of the mind. I have given up on that thread. It's just the PattyGreen show. From Freezing to Fireworks to Freezing. Well at least you get a little color in there. Glad you're feeling better! Um, can I get an "amen"? Please? Pretty Please? With Sugar on top? Still a no? Why? You will see the error of your evil ways! All of you!! Heh. PJTP: I'm losing weight again...and again...and again... Let's see if I can keep it off this time. -

Thank you ladies! I asked the Admin to move my thread, even though it hasn't been moved just yet. I just wanted to give you a forewarning in case you are looking for it and it has been moved. I believe there will still be a link in here for awhile so you can follow along with it. It will be in the general supprt area. I figured more people would be able to see it and follow my journey with me. I'm also hoping to help to inspire more people, as I know there are alot of bandsters who struggle now and then. StLG, I have actually started up a new social group for bandsters who like to do crafts. So far no one has joined. I guess there just isn't much interest for that. I do like to create beads I've found just recently. I don't have a whole lot of time, and that's also something I realized I can't do while watching TV. :w00t::crying: I have to pay attention to what I'm doing too much. I have thought about crocheting, you're right! I used to do that when I was younger, my aunt taught me. Good thing too, you can still look at TV while doing it. Okay so it's off to Michaels to buy their yarn that is on sale.. LOL! -

March 14, 2009 Eating: 7:30am: Breakfast Bowl of Frosted Shredded Wheat. Regular 11:30am: Lunch, Small burger w/bacon no bun. Handful of Cheese Doritos 2:30pm: Snack, 4 bites of honey bun and 3 starburst 5pm: Chicken Wrap (Had flour tortilla, lettuce, cheese and chicken) 6:30pm: Vanilla Cupcake Exercise: 12N: Walking, 1 mile 8am: 30 minutes Calisthenics Daily Weigh In: 247.6. -2 from yesterday and -7.7 running. Moods/Thoughts: I guess there is not much to say except I really need to think of better snacking choices! Whenever I write down the prior days foods, I look at the solids I’m eating and I think… not too bad. Nothing wrong with a burger every now and again, as it was small and I tore half he bread off. Not because I didn’t want it mind you! It was because I couldn’t tolerate it. J The chicken wrap also was small and really light. It tasted good too. I really wasn’t very hungry, but I was hungry enough to realize I’d better eat or I’ll be starving later. Since I have my 7pm rule, I knew I didn’t want to get caught up breaking that one again two days in a row. I was able to sneak in a little extra walk today. It was a nice day! I didn’t really log how much distance I was doing, I just considered the amount of time I did it, and the speed I was going. So… I did better than expected on that. Down two more pounds from the day before. Wow, I really was not expecting that at all. I was thinking a small drop. I’m telling you though; I’m taking it all in! I’m so glad there is that thing called water weight. Haha! The good thing I think I need to consider is that, I’m doing this all by just living my life. I’m not doing any gimmicks, like the pouch test, or the South Beach plan. I’ve tried all those and then some. That is in fact one of the contributors to my decision FOR the lap-band. So I wouldn’t have to “diet” anymore. I don’t really; I just watch my portions (with much help!) and keep up with my physical activity. That is all doctor expects of me, besides trying to incorporate more healthy snacks (which I need to work on). He does ask that I stay away from the slider foods of course, because you sure can take in more than your fair share. I have been and it’s really showing. I’m just doing it, by waking up and making a conscious decision to make sure I’m eating relatively good, but very small portions, and exercising daily. Got that down! The scales are favoring me right now. Before I get too overly excited about that I do have to remember that I’ve been here before, in fact many times over the last 6 or 7 months. I have to keep in mind if I don’t stay on track and start making better snack choices all this will be over and I’ll be going back up… again! I have to stop this cycle! Especially since I want to be back to where I was when all this started by the Fourth of July. I made that my goal for the 4th of July challenge in the general Lap-Band forum area. That is just 3 months to get there. That would mean I need to lose about 1.8 Lbs per week. I think that is more than reasonable. Right within what a bandster should lose per week. Wow! I’m rambling now… hehe! See you tomorrow. -

Sounds great! As far as the chat, the screen which you read others replies is much smaller than used to be. Also, it doesn't fit everything someone says. It cuts off part of what someone wrote if that makes sense. I did like the old chat system better, or even the one you changed it to after removing flash chat. You still were able to see more of the replies other people post. With the current one, you can only see about 5 replies and people type fast! Thanks for everything Alex! I love this site. -
Well just think, you are soooo close to Onederland! Let that be a motivator to stay on track! Whoot!!! Wishing you the very best as always.

Don't worry about it. It was still kinda on subject because you asked about the BL book. No worries! Now, just to keep those people who want to give us lessons in manners outta here...

Haha! Thanks! I have to admit though it was a really hard decision for me. I needed to do something though, because everything else I was trying simply wasn't working. I tried effortlessly to get back to what I should be doing and would quickly just fall off. I was so embarrassed to do it too.:thumbup: I know that publicly admitting my mistakes isn't something easy to do, and my palms were sweating just doing it. But whatever I did, it's really working for me. I'm glad I did it! Thank you so much for being there for me, you inspire me so much! xoxo Thanks Anna! I'd say day 4 was a success in some ways, and maybe a glitch in others... -

March 13, 2009 Eating: 5am: ½ bottle of IsoPure w/added fiber, vitamins and daily pills. 7:30am: Breakfast Bowl of Frosted Shredded Wheat. Mixed StrawB & Cinnm. 10:30am: Small Banana, and a handful of almonds. 11:30am: Lunch, Lean Cuisine Salisbury, Mashed & Gravy 2:30pm: Snack, FF yogurt w/Special K crunches added in. 5pm: Small Taco, some rice & beans. 6:30pm: Popcorn 8:30pm: RF Cheez-Its handful Exercise: 12N: 2.25 mile walk. 6pm: 30 minutes stationery bike, 7.5 miles – up to 3 tension. Daily Weigh In: 249.6. -2 from yesterday and -5.7 running. Moods/Thoughts: Well I wasn’t perfect. I ate after 7 and I had two snacks after dinner. The first snack I just wanted. The second snack I was hungry and I needed to take medication that needed food to take with it. All things considered it really was the popcorn I shouldn’t have eaten. It wasn’t the healthier option, and I wasn’t even hungry when I ate it. Wow, now that I have processed it by writing it out I see the error. I was watching American Idol and got the urge to snack. This is when I need to be especially careful, because that is my danger zone. I even went to the dietician and talked it over with her. She recognized it too, and gave me a list of things I should prefer to snack on, which was a piece of fruit or some carrot or celery. Hmmm… well the fact is I don’t mind those things. I just need to start following that plan. The problem is though, all work and no play makes Irene a dull girl. Should it be okay to indulge a little bit from time to time? I don’t know. I’ll let you be the judge. Popcorn isn’t really a trigger food of mine. I can eat some and still get back on the horse immediately. Things I consider my triggers are any kind of chips, potato or most especially Doritos. When I eat those I find it very hard to concentrate again on my destination. I finally got that extra mile in! It felt so awesome!! It’s so great when I’m able to pass up the majority of other walkers out there. I almost make it a must. I also really hate it when I see many people passing me up. Granted they are really fit, but still! ;o) Give me some time and there won’t be a soul out there that can do that – unless they’re jogging or running. LOL!! Anyway, as always the workouts were a success. Friday (today) and Sunday’s will only be a one workout per day, day. I simply don’t have the time to tack on that extra workout. I will give myself Saturday’s off. So that is the plan from here on. I think that system sounds good. Okay, the water is still coming off and can I get an AMEN?!! LOL!! Yeah, like I said, I don’t know how much longer that will last, but I’m enjoying it thoroughly. I love it during this time when your body reacts to all the good stuff your doing for it. I also want to add that this was such a great idea for me; I can’t even begin to tell you how much. It’s like that fire that left me so many months ago has returned and then some. Then there is that little Devil that lives on my shoulder whispering to me said this morning “Well you can just tell them you’re going to take the weekend off…” Of course I had to tell him, go sit on a tack! LOL!! I can’t let my friends down, besides I just started this thing. That isn’t a road I want to go down again. Ever again! -
So let me get this right, the ratings are: 1 = :blushing: or  or  2 = or  or 3 = :blushing: or :blushing: or :blushing: 4 = or or 5 = or :tt1: or :blushing:

Not so fast! Irene is here!

turor: Sorry not to derail the thread but I know its so easy to get off track with our plans. The longer you wait to get back on track the harder it becomes to do that. The 5 day pouch test works great for alot of people, but for me it just makes me ravenous and makes me eat more. Weird, and I've tried it several times. I would give it a try just to see if it works for you. If it doesn't it's probably not a good idea to keep trying over and over... LOL! What's that saying? Insanity is trying the same thing over and over and expecting a different result.. or something like that. Anyway here is the link: www.5daypouchtest.com Try whatever you can though, get back on track as soon as you can. Good luck!

Do I have restriction or not?
LilMissDiva Irene replied to Theresa1511's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Theresa, it is okay to snack in between meals. I do, and I still lose weight as long as my Snacks are good ones. I also make sure I'm doing a reasonable amount of physical activity as well. Our meals are small, and assuming your eating your solid Proteins first, veggies second, and whatever room you have left for your carb side that meal should get you 3-4 hours. If you still have a bit to wait for your next meal a small healthy snack should be okay. I usually will have FF yogurt with a handfull of Cereal crunched in for texture, or just something that is full of nutrients and lite in calories. Snacks are not an enemy, and I find they keep my metabolism going. Or there are some neat tricks you can try if you feel you are snacking too much, like drinking a hot beverage like coffee, tea (someone gave me a great idea of sassafrass) or chewing on some SF mints (I chew gum too). I do all these things and they work for me. It takes awhile to get in touch with our bands sometimes. Some people are excellent at it and get in the groove right away. Some of us it takes a little longer. I see you have only been banded 4 months. That's not really all that long. I was struggling bad at that time too, so you are not alone. If you are still starving between meals after doing all that then, yes I'd say another fill is in order. Just be careful and be honest with the doctor. When he asks you what your symptoms are be sure not to over state your hungriness. To me it sounds like if anything you would only need a tiny pop. When I felt like that, that's all mine would give me and it would be very comfortable. You are doing really good, hunger sucks! I'm not trying to sound all preachy, just want to offer some advice on what I went through because I really went through it when it came to fills. I had 8 fills and I'm at about 6cc/10cc. My doc really took his time, and as I was going through that I started to lose hope that I'd ever find that sweet spot. I did find it though, and I thank him now for getting me there without getting me too tight. Being too tight can lead to some very bad side effects. If you ever need someone to talk to I'm here. You sound like a great person. I also really hope this helps you! -
Yes, I agree. It is a very lovely trophy indeed. ;o)
