  1. LMAO Juicy! Oh wow... glad I didn't try it yet! I hope you get to feeling better quick jordien! I finished up my refried Beans, scrambled eggs and low fat cheese meal tonight. I was going to try it out tomorrow. Think I'll wait on it until a month out. Def go back to liquids for a day or so to let the lil tummy rest. *sigh*
  2. How are you doing? Haven't seen you come by in awhile. :-)

    "Don't lose too much weight"

Oh wow... that to me would be a compliment.

September Sleevers YAY The party is ON

Awesome! I personally think you are doing fantastic! Whenever I notice my scale isn't moving for whatever reason I always try on clothes in my closet and see how they're working for me. I am always pleasantly surprised to find out they are getting bigger and bigger. I have a huge assortment of sizes ranging from 22 all the way down to an 8 in pants, and from a 2X top all the way down to a Medium in tops. I've been all over the map in my lifetime! LOL You really should try on that 2X girlie! I bet it fits great, and if not it could be already getting to big for you.
  6. Oh great! I think we tend to agree/disagree on similar foods, so I think I might be ok to try it. Yum! It's so nice to add new foods now... broths were REALLY getting old.. haha

Finally on the road -- i hope!

That is great news Ann!! Congratulations to you! Looking forward to hearing about how you progress from here. No worries about the long posts. I love to read as much as I love to write.
  8. Ohhh definitely check in to say how it went! That will be my next venture. I want to go get a Wendy's Chili :-)

    Hello, everyone!

Welcome to VST journie! This is truly the BEST spot for the VSG folks to come hang out and enjoy some good conversation. You sound like quite the busy lady. I look forward to reading more of your posts -- I'm positive you will do really great! We have (had) similar stats. I'm 5'6 and at my heaviest was 330 (so yeah got you beat there... lmao) but today I'm only 256 Lbs. I am previously banded and have gone up and down in the last few years, but I do hope I've finally put a stop to that! Good luck!

    New design issue

I do believe you can change the font sizes through your web browser setting too. Just a thought - at least until things get tweaked here and there. On Firefox and on Internet Explorer.

    The New VST

So how's that coming along? Are we able to fix our fonts permanently yet? I think it must be a girlie thing... lol but I do like to have my own font and colors.
  12. Ohh :-( Praying for a speedy recovery for her! I hope her husband will check in and let us know how she's doing!
  13. Becca, well I'll be the first to tell you it is a struggle, especially the first few days. However, I'm also going to tell you that for the first time ever I love the surgery I've had! It's helping me so much!! I'd only wish I'd have done this from the get. You will be ok and you will especially be happy!

    450 pounds, 23 y old, TERRIFIED!

I did get a drain and they had it placed in for 2 days. It was a bit uncomfortable -- especially when they removed it! Gah!!
  15. Fitting my old "skinny jeans" today! Whoooot!! :-) That is if you consider a size 18 skinny... lmao!

  16. Just visiting, you are cute!!! You look great :)

  17. Wow... Well all the best. I would first urge you to consider doing some serious research on the band. How far out from surgery are these people who have been "successful" with their lap-bands and made it actual goal? Not just 50-60 Lbs or halfway there... How many actual bandsters can you find that are more than say 5-8 years out and still "loving their band"? That's not really that long considering you will want to have your surgery forever, correct? Why would you go into a surgery with the thought that you might someday need to revise? I beg you to find at least a dozen, and speak with all of them directly too - not just them posting. Ask them the hard questions! May I also remind you that a revision is much more complicated than just having the sleeve on a virgin stomach. You go through a lot more and your risk for complications are much greater. I got a 10'000 loan from my bank and my payments are about 225.00 per month. Best loan I've ever gotten and let me tell you - I love my car!!!! A car is disposable though... I know it won't last forever. This time I wanted something permanent. Regardless I will support anyone's decision, however knowing the lap band is not your ultimate first choice, I have to voice my true opinion. Good luck!

    September sleevers wanted!

Cherice, the proper place for monthly sleevers is in the "monthly sleevers" forums. We can still start a new one here just for check in's. That would be great.

    Wish me luck.

Good luck!!! Just keep trying.. I see people win their appeals all the time.

    In Mexico being sleeved tomorrow!

Lmao! DJ, good luck tomorrow. You will love your experience there! And yes they are some nice looking guys!!! :-) Dr. C looks like he's too young to be a Dr.! LOL

    Having Trouble Eating

Are you getting enough Water in too? Sometimes that can make us not feel so good if we aren't. Also you are only a little over a week out from surgery. Maybe you are moving to fast through stages. I just started my mushies phase and I was sleeved on the 15th. I don't even really eat them all day either... I still have to take it slow going. Perhaps you would do better by reverting back to the previous stage for a few days and try again. Good luck!

    Perspectives after one year.

I just wanted to say wow! Congrats on your loss... you are only 11 lbs from goal? Great job!
  23. Chew... Chew... Chew... !!!! Oatmeal for lunch, yum! :-)

    Just My Thoughts... Your Opinions??

Hugs!!! Sorry you're going through such a rough patch. I understand where you are coming from in some cases. Even now I've only lost 15 Lbs but I feel like every time I get on the scale I expect it to start going back up. I did deal with that so much with my band. Down 15 up 15, repeat ad nauseum. Sorry to hear about your TOM issues. That really stinks to high heaven. I hate it for the 5-6 days I have it every month!! Gah! Hopefully once you get back on your pills it will regulate again. I'm sure with not taking them plus all the hormones being released from your weight loss it's just wreaking havoc on you. I just want you to know that you are a great motivator here, and I really look up to you! I think you are doing so fantastic and I HOPE to do as good as you when I'm a year out. If it takes me years to get to goal I don't care. My concern is just doing it, getting there and STAYING THERE!!! So, cheer up lady! You are amazing!!!

September Sleevers YAY The party is ON

No worries sunshine... I am in the slow losers club too. I am over 3 weeks out and have only lost about 15 Lbs since surgery day. I'm not going to stress about it though. I was gaining with my band so for that matter I am very happy!!!! I've already gone down 2 pants sizes and 1 shirt size. I feel incredible too. Not going to sabotage my own self by comparing myself to others losses.
