  1. Well...I'm not supposed to weigh myself but I've been feeling like I'm losing right now - so I did. I'm down another 1.8 since yesterday!!! Thats 3 Lbs in 2 days!!! :-))) I'm in a new "decade" too!

Leak Test - Didn't get one

Wow, you're actually the first person Ive heard not getting one. What are they doing for you post-op to make sure you don't have a leak?
  3. Thank you!! Very sweet of you! :-))

2 months out and doing OK

Hi Lose! I still fee that way from time to time. I am only 2 weeks ahead of you, so it is still pretty normal to get that from time to time. I'm actually feeling a bit tired as we speak! Hang in there... the further along we get, the better things seem. :-)

    Need help with Timeline

I really don't see the need to spend extra money at a nearby hotel. You will likely have a leak test before leaving the Hospital. After that you should be free to go home really. Just be very careful when swallowing. I personally would travel that 90 miles to your relatives house to rest for a few more days before traveling the long trek home. Nothing wrong with that. Especially since they're probably already expecting you. All the best!

Sizzilng September Sleevers Monday Check In

Hey everybody!!! It's WEDNESDAY!!! Whew, I'm so glad I do mine on this day. It seems to work the best for me! Labrys, wow that is a GREAT LOSS!! I'm looking for one of those myself here... haha FJM and Juliah, I really try not to allow that darn scale to affect my mood. It's going to say what it wants - but like any great novel there is usually a lot more to the story. Juliah, I'm so glad the scale was nice to you this time! I knew it would happen. Not sure why but it seems it will say anything it wants. CONGRATS TO YOU!!! Myself I'm down 1.2 Lbs this week. That is great! I'll certainly take it for sure! When is the last time I've actually LOST during Thanksgiving week? NEVER!!! Nope. Not even when I was banded. I'm super DUPER HAPPY!! For the month of November I've only lost a bit over 5 Lbs though. So... I really do need to focus on bumping up my workouts. I've been half-arsing them, but the scale is starting to slow up a bit for me so I have to work that out. But... I am now more than halfway to goal! Considering I've lost nearly 90 lbs from my highest (not my sleeve weight) I'm over the moon about it! Less than 90 and I'm done! My goal size is 8 though, so who knows, I may even stop sooner than 154 Lbs.. If I'm healthy and feel and look great - to me THAT'S my true goal. I really try not to give the scale the upper hand!!! Right now I can fit any size 18, and most 16's. I'm also into one size 14 but only one pair - so I'm not there yet. Also I'm fully into the XL and most L's. LG!!! See you all next week! Keep plugging away!
  7. (((hugs))) Ya know, we are pretty much the same as far as weight loss. I'm only two weeks after than you. I have WAY more weight to lose too. So... I think you're still doing fantastic! :)

    A successful journey so far!

Ok folks... my Wedding Ring has to be held on by another ring my husband bought me or it simply flies off my hand. I just wanted to show you all. My Wedding Ring is Size 8. The placeholder ring is size 6, and it's starting to feel loose now too... wow!!!
  9. I was able to squeak out another 1.2 Lb. Loss this week. Whew!! Next week will be a really good one... ;o)

Need to get serious about exercise, AGAIN.

Whoohooo!!! Get it gals!!! This is great! I started using my Skechers Shape Ups during my walks and my muscles ache so bad! I did my 2.25 miles today and contemplating still needing to do 30 on my elliptical. I'll do it, but not with a happy face! Good for you Tiffy with the weights! I know I need to get back and do those too. I used to be so athletic like. I can't believe I'm sore from walking with a different type of shoes. Something is wrong with that. Sunshine, the kickboxing made me laugh!!! Sometimes when I'm frustrated I'll run off and do some hard cardio. It usually makes me feel better. I have a room specifically for my workouts, so I can shut the world out and just watch some TV and kill it on the elliptical or treadmill -- or whatever I feel like doing. Well, see you all tomorrow! Hopefully I'll feel better!!!
  11. My muscles ache sooo bad!!! I just started using my Skechers Shape Ups again for the last few days. It's been months since I've used them -- pre-surgery even. Wow!!! Aleve is calling me right now!!!

    Where my girls at???

I hope that works out for you mp! That would be great to get a nice discount. Thanks for the link too - I'll wait until I get home to open it. Your Hubby knows what to do!! LOL Mine does the same thing. Whatever makes me happy. Well fixing the girls will make me happy! I'm even (and this is embarrassing to admit) considering stuffing the ole bra like a teenage girl!! OMG.... haahaa!!

    Where my girls at???

Doesn't that happen with how they perform the operation? Like, the ones that cut around the nipples? I'm not sure... I know nothing about this stuff. I've never even thought seriously about having this done. I'm going to have a long conversation with my cousin soon!! LOL :-)
  14. Today: SUCCESS! I walked 2.25 miles, AND did about 35 minutes on my spinner Level 5 setting. I also cleaned out some drawers needed organizing... wow what's gotten into me!!!???

    Youv'e got mail! Flabbergasted

Ha! I wish I looked that good on my pre-op day. I don't think I'd taken any pics in awhile, unless it was forced on me. I was looking so huge! Thanks for sharing!

    Where my girls at???

Ohh yeah me too some. Have you contacted Dr. Pompa's office to see if she suggests anyone? I know Dr. Aceves has a PS he usually refers. I might go that route. My cousins boobies costed about 6k, which still isn't bad at all. I don't think I'd need a lift - however I'll see how they look once all the weight is come off before making a judgement.

mp, what kind of prices have you been quoted, if you don't mind? I wouldn't rule out the mx option myself.

Omg this is harder than I thought

Hugs lisa!! It will all be worth it and then some in the end, you'll see. ...and yes it's MUCH easier post op. You won't feel real hunger (some still do but not nearly as much as pre-op) and you can't eat a lot anymore. You will be just fine. Believe me... I struggled A LOT pre-surgery. I did it though, and I'm doing fabulous now!

    Upset Stomach

I pretty much knew immediately while I'm eating it, or right away after. It never took long for me to know. However, there was that fun night with the bowl of Cereal... so there ya go. It's kinda hard to tell. The sure thing is, if it disagrees with you, you will know!

    Today I am getting SLEEVED!!!

Oh wow, I missed this one! It looks like you should be all sleeved up by now. Hope you're feeling fine!! Check in when you can!
  22. LilMissDiva Irene

    No longer obese!!

I'm sooo happy for you Andrea!! Keep up the good work!!
  23. LilMissDiva Irene

    8 week update!!!

Fabulous!! You are flying through the 3's... and yes Twoderville is right around the corner for you. Let us know when you get here!!

    15 MORE DAYS!!!

Hi there Mari, and welcome to VST!!! The time will absolutely fly by, and before you know it you'll be laying on your back, staring up at the bright OR lights and fade to black... lol!!! It's ok, when you wake up your tummy will be gone and you will be SO THANKFUL!! Re: Loose skin. Yeah likely you will have *some*. Everyone's skin retracts differently. However, I always say - I can hide the loose skin, or the surgery scars for that matter. I have yet to find ANYONE who can hide obesity!! I never was able to... You will more than likely experience stalls. I think there are only a very small handful that have not had to deal with this. I've had a few short ones myself, by about a week long or so. To be really honest though, there has always been a reason for it. I either just had to wait it out or make a few changes. You just need to stay focused and keep doing the right thing and the scale will cooperate with you eventually. ...and finally the permanent aspect. Well, I'll tell you - I had the "reversible" WLS as well. I think too many go into that surgery knowing this and use it as an excuse to blow it off. You can't blow this off! I'll never do anything so major knowing I can go back on it. It's too big a deal. Besides, no surgery is 100% reversible anyway. You will always be left with scars, scar tissue on the inside and sometimes even worse. Do not let those few things dissuade you! I'll even go as far to say you may even have a few moments of regret. I did!!! I won't lie - it was right after surgery and I was feeling so awful and I wondered what the heck I did to myself. But you know what? That feeling fades really fast!!! Every time I step on the scale, someone compliments my losses, I'm wearing smaller clothes or I have a great NSV - I'm ever more thankful! Good luck!!!
  25. Thank you hon for the kind picture comment!! :-)
