    Almost Passed Out!!

Hey Lucille, I hope so! I actually know I'm super rare with this, so I can't say. In fact I really don't even know of anyone else this has happened to. It's a fact though, ALL junk food makes me nauseated or dumping. No wonder I'm losing as fast as I am. LOL!!! Lap band and sleeve - for me is like day and night.

    Almost Passed Out!!

Yes I definitely was getting this same reaction first out when I'd even have a bite of candy or something really sweet. I have to admit - it's keeping me away from the stuff for the most part. I do have sweets once in awhile but it sure isn't much and when I do its few and far between. I also get nauseated off of chips and popcorn - it just makes me feel so yucky and sick. I'm also severely lactose intolerant, so along with my sugar issues, it's keeping me away from ice cream. YAY I LOOOOVE MY SLEEVE!!!!!!!!!!!!

  10. Wahoooo!!! Total NSV today!!! I went shopping at Target and they had some cute pink workout jackets I'd been wanting on clearance. Well, they only had XXL, XL, M, S, XS left. None in L - so I tried on the Medium totally expecting to be let down but it fit!!! OMG... I can't lie it looks really cute on me too - showing off the cute figure I'm working so hard for. I'm elated!!! :-)

    Warning to new sleeves

Oh my dear!! You are so right, every single day in our sleeved lives it will be a learning curve. Even far out when you find out you can once again eat things you at one point weren't able to. I'm glad to hear you didn't do too much damage. Thank you for posting this too, because it really does show that our Surgeons know what they are talking about and we should always do our very best to follow their post op guidelines. One day at a time!!
  13. He really feel much better once you have the surgery, you are ok and he'll see how much happier you are. It's very normal for our spouses to feel a little intimidated by all of this. Hang in there.
  14. On my pureed stage I loved to get the rotisserie chickens (skin removed first) and put it in a food processor in some chicken broth. It was really good. Of course I couldn't eat very much at all and I had to chew til it was goo, but the flavor was so unreal. It was nice to begin to eat REAL food again! ETA: I did not puree until it was paste. I got them to very tiny chunks or the consistency would make me sick. I just once I got it the right blend chew it up in my mouth until it almost liquid. I also liked to get the starkist tuna in Water and add a little bit of light mayo and hard boiled egg white... it was very tasty. I am very picky with my food so on each stage I pretty much stuck with what I knew I liked and lived on it for 10 days each. Good luck!!

    Ignorance!

Maybe she just meant tall? I don't think a size 16 on your frame sounds like big as in... "big". Just my opinion of course - but yeah using "big" to reference anyone is very rude. Blame her tactless tongue for that one.

    H. Pylori

My stomach was sent to pathology and the test came back normal except they did find H. Pylori. The pathology was done in Mexico - and I brought this up to my PCP here in Sacramento. She asked me if I had any symptoms and went through a series of questions with me. I pretty much told her I was fine pre surgery. She said almost everyone has it and it's only treated if it causes the patient issues. That being said you have already been treated for it previously because apparently it was causing you problems. To be safe you should bring this up to your surgeon. It would be for the better, IMO. Good luck!! You want to go in knowing you are as healthy as possible.

    My Willpower

Right now sitting in the breakroom, AKA the Junk food Palace has a huge bag of Tortilla chips and Salsa - and Caramel D'Lights Girl Scout Cookies. Both of these are my FAVORITES!!! My mouth watered... I looked at them and imagined the salty and sweet taste in my mouth. Then I washed my salad bowl I had for lunch, and turned my back and walked right out the door. Oh I'm such a good good girl. Hey, I gotta pat myself on the back once in a while for a job well done. ETA: It's my Mother Nature time too... so this is extremely significant for me. Yay!!! VICTORY!!! That is all.

    My Fear...

I felt a bit nervous before mine too, so yes it's very normal to feel this way right before the big cut. But... what I reminded myself of, I was MORE scared of staying obese and continue to gain more weight - and getting more and more unhealthy. I really hated myself like that!!! Why lie?? I was miserable, and though I tried my dangedest to stay on the positive side, it bothered me a lot. Staying that way, to me is far more scary than having a surgery that was going to save me from a lifetime of misery. Good luck to you... ultimately it is YOUR decision on what you want/need to do for yourself. I just want you to know once you get to the other side, all those feelings will fade when you see just how AMAZING the sleeve really is.

    Breakfast foods high in protein?

Wow all of these suggestions sound delicious!! I need to venture out a little. Thanks everyone for all the great ideas (even though I did not start this thread). I never even thought much about breakfast - but when I have time, which would be on the weekends I'm going to try a lot of these. Especially the South Beach idea. I love South Beach. Cheers!!

    mexico doctors

Here was my thread chronicling my entire experience with Dr. Aceves and his staff. I hope will help you!! Please also know that Dr. Aceves has many years and hundreds of patients worth of experience on Lap Band to Sleeve revisions. I would NOT have gone to anyone else for this, except Dr. Cirangle in San Francisco - and he was much more expensive.http://www.verticals...h__1#entry76487
