  1. I'm out of the 210's!!!!!!!!!! Whoooohooooo!!!!!!!! I was also able to make a massive switch in my closet for sizes. Looks like all my 16's have GTG. :-D They are falling off me... lol

  2. I found this cool website. If you are simply interested to see what others look like based on size, weight, clothing sizes and shape - you just plug in the parameters and it will show other women's photos with the same. It's fun! http://www.mybodygallery.com/index.html

    I know stalls are normal....but....

Great!! After awhile (at least in my case) I got used to the stalls, then drops. My weight will stall for a few weeks then I'll have a few weeks where I lose .5 - 2.5 Lbs per day. I take it all and hug um an' kiss um and call um my sweethearts.

    Flood of "Whatcha eating"

Here is the new Subforum: http://www.verticalsleevetalk.com/forum/112-meals-specific-to-being-sleeved/ It can be found in the food & Nutrition Forum. I will clean up all the already created threads and merge them all together. They will be by weekday, Monday, Tuesday, etc... I will also pin them all to the top so they won't get lost in the shuffle should many others post in the subforum. Thanks!
  11. *YAWN* Off to beddie bye... if my scale holds up for the morning I will be down 2 more lbs. Nice.

    Return to work

I returned to work after three weeks. I'm 37 years old. I do not have a physically demanding job like yours, so I'm not sure how much time you should take off. Whatever you do take it easy!!!

  15. I know I've already said this but CONGRATULATIONS MY FRIEND!!!! You have done so darned amazing, and I'm super happy for you. You are *very* close to goal and you've gotten this far so fast, you'll be making a new post saying you've reached it in no time at all! Big Hugs!!!! This one deserves the BIG BANANA!!!!! :bananahuge:

Either that or Medi-Fast. You can lose that fast on a complete liquid diet too... though she never claimed that either. No one can lose on salads alone, that's just all Water...
  17. Hmmm... that's very interesting. I haven't seen anything like this posted before but I had a slightly similar issue immediately post op myself. I had a Crown on my tooth and a week after surgery it started having the worst pain ever!! I had to go to the dentist and have the endodontist do a root canal on it. He filled in the tooth where he drilled through and now I have a white spot on my crown... LOL My personal opinion is that I think I was slightly malnourished then due to the liquids only and somehow ended up killing my root in my tooth. I am no medical professional so I'm not absolutely positive this is true, it's my own speculation. I just found it interesting that it was only a week later when before I hadn't had *any* pain there at all. Good luck!!

    Hello Onederland!

CONGRATS AMBER!!!!! That is super awesome!!!! I'm not too far myself, only a bit over 13 lbs to go. Considering I haven't been less than 200 lbs in 20 years I'd say I'm really looking forward to it, so I KNOW you're over the moon!! :cheer2:

  20. Hi Shanny, Wow what a very touching story. I'm so glad you were able to overcome your abusive past and are now working on improving the effects of it. That is really great. For me, yes I do have a *very* hard time coming to terms with the new me. When buying clothes I can't get over the fact that they are so small in comparison to where I started. I automatically don't believe it will fit, and when it does I almost feel a sense of shock. Looking in the mirror now is looking at someone else's reflection. Even looking at my pictures I can hardly imagine that is me in them. I guess it's going to take a lot of time to get used to the new us. I still have about 45 Lbs left to lose even so it's going to continue for a while more. Hugs lady!!! We are all in this together.

Is there a definiteve band vs. vsg thread?

Hi Wheetsin! No I don't think there is one thread that covers all the differences but there are numerous threads regarding the Band Vs Sleeve. I was revised from my band in September... and for me anyway my experience has been far greater than my band. IMO, the Sleeve is far superior. Good luck!

    Getting Sleeved Young

Hi Amber I don't think you're too young, it more depends on your maturity level and your willingness to follow the post op program. Following the dietary and nutritional needs following surgery is of the utmost importance. It is *not* for losing weight, it is to protect your stomach and your newly cut staple line. I wish this surgery was around when I was much younger. I would have done it a long time ago. True it took me a over a year to make the decision to do it, but that was because I already had the Lap Band and I had to weigh my options on revision. If I knew about the sleeve while researching the band, you better believe I would've gotten the sleeve instead. Good luck on your decision!!!

Hey goofyspice, welcome to VST!!! IMO it's always best to have someone be there with you. What's 10 more days? I know when you're excited and wanted it yesterday it can seem like an eternity but know it will come. Good luck to you whatever you choose!
