    NSV we all just got.

I kinda thought the same, I know she's (Oprah) pretty much dogged WLS and those who've gotten it. But hey, that's when you tell folks that "I was wrong, and now I'm jumping in with both feet!!" LOL I have seen Raven, she really does look awesome too. She's lost it well, if she did get WLS it doesn't seem like RnY or anything - she looks super healthy. I love my sleeve!!!
  3. Hello Darling Deb!! Thanks for stopping by with the nice comments!!! :-D Hugs to you!!! Rock it lady!!

    NSV we all just got.

I'm very glad to hear this, it's nice to get the word out to all the joe schmoes out there that really are clueless about WLS and what it entails. I've always wondered why Oprah has not thought about it for herself, she has struggled with her weight for so long. I know she's gone for PS, why not this? She needs to call up Star Jones and get the dish from her! I'm not judging her though, it's everyone's individual decision... but won't stop me from wondering.

Do NOT do what I did today!

Whoa no, you will not want to eat like that with the sleeve! Fortunately for me I learned to slow it down when I was banded, I'd be sliming and PB'ing at every meal. It hurts and its gross!! I haven't really had any problems with my sleeve, thank goodness. I get pains sometimes but I stop immediately. It does teach you to follow the rules.
  11. I know I always see you on FB, but I just wanted to say again... GREAT JOB!!!!
  12. Thank you sooo much for the message. :) You made my day!!!

10 months ago today! 92.5 lbs gone

NtvTxn, WOW CONGRATS!!! You do look very svelte and your small frame fits you well! Amazing results - I am sooo happy for you!! In response to your comment on whether we all just "think" we are big boned, well for me I know for a fact I'm not small boned. I've been thin before (very thin - borderline too thin) and even then I only got down to a 8. Mind you this was 20 years ago too, so I think the sizes have changed a bit since then. So, I totally agree with the idea of size goals - I am going to stop once I get into an 8. I'm getting there slowly but surely, my 14's are starting to get a bit big. Funny too, how you and Mini mentioned not being able to wrap our minds around our sizes. I have some 14's that after washing them they look so small too me and I think I'll never fit into them. Yet when I put them on, they are starting to get a little baggy on me and I'm constantly having to pull them up. LOL!!! What an awesome problem to have ladies!!! Thanks for the inspiration!!!

    i'M CONSIDERING THE SLEEVE

Hi miss locke, you have come to the right place for help!! Losing weight will help you with your health problems. Since you are pre-diabetic I can't think of a better time to do this. You would like to try to avoid getting full blown diabetes if you can. Do not hesitate! I used to have bad HBP, and at 5 months out I was allowed to discontinue all of my medications that controlled it. Believe me, my case was really tough too. I used to need 4 max dosage pills per day (2 different types of meds and 2x per day) to control it. It never wanted to go down. However today, I'm healthier than I ever have been in my whole life! Even as a teen I was thin and athletic, but because I stayed thin in unhealthy ways it kept me from feeling as great as I do right now. As far as the outcome, everyone's journey is their own. Do your best to not compare your results to others. You will likely be disappointed. Cherish your losses and be appreciative that you will lose and ultimately gain your health back. Cheers!!
  15. Hello kids05! BEST WISHES on your surgery this afternoon! It is likely you'll continue to ask yourself why you did this for the first few days. I know I did, and I'm not ashamed to admit it. Simply because now I don't know why I didn't do this sooner! Those negative feelings will fade soon enough and you'll be on here thanking your lucky stars you were able to have the sleeve done. Your mantra for the next few days: Rest, Sip, Walk, Repeat.

    Day # 1

Hi there cherrybell, You will and are doing just fine. The first few days on the liquid pre op diet are the toughest, simply because you are kicking the bad sugar habit. Any pre op diet is also especially difficult because you still have a large stomach and can feel hunger pangs. Pray if you have to! This is NOT easy, but one thing is IS, is worth it all. Come here to vent, we are here to help you pull through this. HUGS!!!
