    Six month stall: broken!

Fantastic!!!! :clap2: I love working toward a lower body fat % rather than solely going by the BMI scales. I'm working to get mine below 30%, which will be pretty much in line with your goal, being that women should have about 10% more body fat than men. Right now I can't workout but I have bought some devices that will help me to keep measure on my body fat %... and last time I checked I'd gotten to around 32%. Not bad. It's strange too that when you're building muscle and losing fat, the scale definitely isn't a good measure on how well you're doing. From the looks of it, I'll be either just above the BMI for normal or just below, which is perfect A-OK with me. Cheers and good luck to you!! Though, I know you do not need luck... you got the will and that's what's really needed here. Get CUT!!!
  2. Hi Shea, Well I can tell you my experience and maybe that will help you make a decision for yourself. I am a very active person, and I was pre-sleeve as well. I could workout for hours and never really felt any kind of "tiredness" pre surgery. That said, I'm absolutely GLAD I took 3 full weeks off from work. This surgery was pretty tough for me. I did feel a lot of fatigue, and trying to figure out how to eat and drink with the sleeve was a chore in itself. I also have a sit down job, but much like you its a more active role. I have to get up from my desk a lot to run papers, forms or files around here and there. I would feel so run down and beat up after work for the first few weeks back too. I would sneak little cat naps in the quiet room daily until I finally started to get all my energy back. Whatever you decide, just do what's best for you. Good luck!

    MY GOODNESS!! TMI for some

I do notice it more if I'm eating Beans. I never passed gas so much before!! Or at least I don't recall it. LOL I do get gas from Protein shakes as well. Oh well!! I'd rather be a fart knocker than fat!!

how long is the 3 week stall?

Yep, majority of us will get this dreaded stall. It starts at around week 2-3 Post Op and from what I've seen will last anywhere from 3 weeks long through around 5 weeks long. Just keep doing all the right things, it will pass. Promise!!
  8. AWESOME!! You're going to rock your sleeve! I can always tell when someone will, because they are always willing to go above and beyond the call. Good for you! Wishing you well on your new journey. Blessings!!

    Torani syrup--where to find them?

If you can't find Torani, DaVinci is nearly exactly the same thing. I find them at Costco, or really any grocery store. Like Southern said, it's not a necessity. I don't use them too often, but they're nice to have around if you're craving a sweet coffee or something. They're great to add to protein shakes too.

    Breast Loss

That's how I was too in the beginning, and things held on for a good long time. But once I realized they just disappeared and I wasn't happy with them, I changed my mind. One thing I don't do anymore is say I'll never do this or that. If I did, I wouldn't have gotten my sleeve or any WLS and I'd still be fat today! Nothing wrong at all with when all is said and done feeling great about yourself. I think you're doing awesome, and good for you for keeping an open mind.

Tired of this thing called 'THE STALL'

When you hear about the 3rd week stall, what that means is it STARTS around the 3rd week post op. The 3rd week stall on average lasts from 3 weeks long, and I've even heard some lasting 5 weeks long. So no worries, what you're going through is completely normal. You just have to hang in there and wait for it to pass, unfortunately. Like Julie76 mentioned, it will happen... just not overnight. I've endured all kinds of stalls being a year out, but time goes by and the pounds and inches continue to drop. Keep your spirits up and stay positive! I know it's really hard during times like this, but know that someday you will be right here where I'm standing. You'll be breaking advice at goal while the newbs are worried about their 3rd week stall.

    My Gastric Sleeve Story

Hey Codename Spivey! I've had many surgeries and they do that same song and dance every time. Funny thing is, I fall for it every time too... It sounds like you had a very easy recovery! Keep recovering well and it seems you'll be able to get your hernia repair next month already!!! Take care!

The Big Day is Finally Here!!

That is great news!! Continue to heal and rest. Keep us updated whenever you can or feel up to it.
  18. First thing in the morning: sublingual Vitamin B-12 - 1x per day (1 total) calcium citrate plus Magnesium - 2x per day (4 total) > I take the second dose before bed. Vitamin D3, 5,000 IU - 1x per day (1 total) Potassium, 3% RDA - 1x per day (1 total) With Breakfast: Multi Vitamin plus Minerals - 1x per day (1 total) Ferrous Sulfate (Iron) - 1x per day (1-2 total) One hour before dinner: Calcium Citrate Lozenge from Bariatric Advantage (I forget half the time!) Omega 3-6-9 (4x per week or when I remember) Before Bed: Last dose of Calcium Citrate, 2 Pills Biotin, 2,500 mcg That is a lot, but it has kept me healthy with all of the rapid weight loss and my hefty workouts. There are a lot of vitamins/minerals in all Protein shakes too! In time I plan to reduce the amount I'm taking, especially one dose of calcium and the biotin as well since my hair loss has stopped, finally.
  19. Also try www.vitalady.com - she sells many many protein shakes in individual sizes. You aren't stuck buying a huge tub of something you don't like! She doesn't have Unjury though, unfortunately.

    Breast Loss

Breast Augmention. No reconstruction was necessary though, so just "refilled".

    Breast Loss

I can tell you that my boobs hung in there for a good long time. They stayed a full D until my last 20 Lbs lost. Then they literally shrunk to lil bitties and lost the fullness bad. I could've went down to a B cup but since I was planning my BA I chose not to waste any mney on new bras. I just got them refilled 2 weeks ago and they look fantastic now. In fact, I don't think they've ever looked so good, and I used to have some great boobies!!!
  22. Okay then yes it sounds to me like maybe you're either eating too fast or too large bites. Make your bites pea sized and space out each bite by a minute or two. You won't have to eat like this forever, just for the first month or 6 weeks. Good luck!
  23. I stuck with Unjury and Bariatric Fusion. I do Unjury is very high grade, probably the very best you could ever buy healthy wise. It's pretty normally priced at $17.00 for a small tub. I still use it to this day and the taste is really good. www.unjury.com is the only place I've ever seen it. Good luck! Google Bariatric Advantage too...

  24. LOL!! Thanks for the status comment! I don't know how to do it any other way. ;-) Hang in there! You're doing great on the liquid diet!!
