  1. Hi everyone. I'm doing a bunch of pics right now and I look up at the calendar... and to what do happen to see? Today is the 15th. It is my monthly Sleeversary!!! Today I am exactly 14 months post op. I can't really keep up anymore. For some reason I thought I was 15 months out. Anywhoo... I just thought I would share a few photos with you all. I haven't done this in a really long time. At my highest weight I was over 330 Lbs. I wore a TIGHT size 28W and 3-4X tops. Today I am 175 Lbs (height 5'7). I wear a solid 6 and S or XS tops. I recently bought a Size X Small workout pants. I'm just blown away... I seriously thought I'd never be living my dream. BUT I AM!!!!! You will too... work hard and always believe. This WILL be your reality too, for all those just starting out or looking into getting the VSG. Best. Thing. I've. Ever. Done. I did this by... hard work and many workouts. I am a runner. I pull 2-3 hours of intense workouts 6 days per week. Ok, not in the last few weeks, but that's because my legs have been thru a tornado. Anyway, my eating habits were very simple. Semi low carbs. Around 60g total for the day. I indulged from time to time. I was never perfect. My best buddy besides the sleeve however that got me here? MY POSITIVE ATTITUDE. I wear it well. BEFORES: CURRENTS:

    Camisoles Are My Friend

I do love Cami's too... I also notice they fit a LOT better being smaller. They would always start shifting and riding up, but now they fall nicely. I've got so many it's almost embarrassing... shopping... but that's another topic entirely. Yayyy SK!! Rock on sister!

My Plastics Journey - My first one (of several)

Heehee thanks! I'm all giddy about it! ;o) I haven't seen my knees in 25 years... it's a GREAT DAY!! I even just right now got a compliment from a co-worker - she knows about my procedure but she said they are coming along great. She's interested now in lipo... haha

    Tummy Tuck...have You Had One?

Hoorrayyy for plastics and tummy tucks... and all that stuff. I think you all know I'm all about the finishing touches. I haven't even decided at all about skin removal. Maybe in time, though for now I'm fine with what I've got as far as loose skin. Who knows how I'll feel in a few years tho. I'm a woman and entitled to change my mind at any time.

My Plastics Journey - My first one (of several)

Thanks for the encouragement favored and M2G. :smile1: I'm sooo glad I did all of this, even if it means some pain, swelling and bruising - even the setback with my workouts. Ugghh I think that's what I hated the most. It is what it is tho! Here's a pic I just took right now! OMG OMG OMG!!! I see KNEES!!! The shape so far is incredible... my surgeon is a MASTER!!! *happy dance* I'm so excited to see the final product in 6 months. It will be a good good day!
  9. Today is the day the LORD has made... I will rejoice and be glad in it!!! Smile everyone, because a frown will just put lines on yer face. ;-)

When You Need Motivation Or Have Qs I'm Happy To Help :)

I got some help with that list too! I just try to keep it into perspective... I didn't get to over 330 lbs overnight and I'm not going to be at goal overnight either. I had a lot of ups and downs. I'd gain a few, drop a few, stall for a few. Very normal! Big Hugs!! Yayyyyyy plastics!!! :biggrin5: Keep me updated!!! Happy Holidays to you too darlin'.
  11. Remember too, my weight gain was due solely from my Plastic Surgeries. I've actually LOST weight since then. I was just "keeping it real" is all. ;o) Really I've only gained at most 4 Lbs due to TOM. Never more than that and it always drops right back off with a few friends.

When You Need Motivation Or Have Qs I'm Happy To Help :)

I'll start with a Re-Post of my WLS Do's and Don'ts. I'm not sure how many have seen this - but it's pretty much like my VS bible.
  15. Tomorrow I bump up the workouts to 45 minutes. I'll start with 20 minutes of the Spin machine, then 25 on the Elliptical. :) I'm just SO GLAD I'm on my way BACK!!!

Thank You To All On Here

It always brings me such joy to watch everyone's amazing progress. I feel their joy, their pain, their elations and their satisfaction upon reaching goal because I've been there! I am such a big supporter of the sleeve because what it has done for me in my life... sometimes I feel like a human billboard for it. It's ok, I believe in it!!! Wishing you a speedy recovery on the 5th!!
  18. Great job on the 5 Lbs!!! Wow!!! I lost in the stairstep fashion. I would gain about 2 Lbs during my TOM week. The next week I'd lose it but stay the same until the week just before TOM where I'd lose massive amounts. Sometimes even up to 12 to 15 Lbs (when I was much heavier). Before my plastic surgeries I was losing about a pound a week. I'm going to get back to that as soon as I'm healed up. HTH

    My Apprehensions....

Whooohoooo!!! You are now LESS than one month away from your big day!! I'm sooo excited for you!!! :Banane57: You are thinking right in trying to incorporate more healthy solutions as events to do with your friends. Kudos to you! I know how it is when any event with family or friends revolve around good food. I've always been the same way. However now that you're changing, the habits must change with you. Note one thing, this doesn't have to be forever. Just for the next year or so while you are on your losing phase, and while you won't be able to eat much anyhow. In time, at goal your sleeve will likely be at capacity and you will once again enjoy fanciful and fun meals with your family and friends. The blessing of the sleeve though is, it will still be FAR LESS consumption had you a normal stomach. You are completely normal in your thoughts... no worries. :smile1: Here's to the next month!!! When do you start your pre-op diet?

    Water Requirement Post-op

Absolutely yes! I noticed that the more water I was drinking, the more the weight was coming off. It is a real energy booster too. Staying well hydrated and I feel full of good energy and health. Bonus too, it's excellent for the skin! I've been lucky in that my skin has bounced back well, considering I've lost over 150 Lbs.

    Water Requirement Post-op

Heya Mike, welcome to the Vertical Sleeve forums!!! For me, I've always been a good Water drinker. Matter of fact I really love just plain water. I can leave the crystal lights or other drinks by the wayside. I have to force myself to drink the Powerade Zeros when I need the electrolytes, I just rather have water. I think it's just a matter of getting used to it. 64 oz is for me the bare minimum per day. I absolutely will force myself to drink up until I get to 64 oz toward the end of the day if I realize I've neglected my intake, which is pretty rare. I really like to get no less than 80 oz and prefer 128 oz which is one gallon. In my losing phase I definitely remain around 1 gallon per day. Hang in there! Please note it will be VERY difficult if you are in the majority just post op to get 64 oz in. I wasn't even able to do it until about a month out. I struggled a lot, just now it's normal though. Do your best and you'll be a-ok!
