  1. Now that I have completed my weight loss journey, it is now time to fully give back. Thank you to everyone who has been so supportive in my long time struggles. I'll never forget you and you will always hold a special place in my heart. I worked my ASS off for 6 LONG years to get here. You know who you are!! Now, it's my turn to give back. I do so happily! Paying it forward to as many as I can. <3

  2. Thanks for all the sweet comments!! Right back atcha all... just sayin'!! The booty is the main factor in me saying enough is enough. Not gonna lose the booty to become obsessive and keep going. I always say, for that - there is NO compromise. Thanks for always being such a light force!! LOL!! Grow down, love it! Mmm'nope!! Not returning these puppies!! Heehee!!
  3. I just thought of something... Bob Harper posts photos of befores and afters. I think I'll submit mine to him and see if he'll post it. ;)

  4. Um... what fun and insightful update can I post today? Hmmm... can't think of anything.

How Long Was Your Longest Stall?

My longest stall was probably about 2 weeks. I admit I was losing pretty steadily the whole way through. I wasn't perfect, but when it was time for me to get back to basics I did that. No way was I going to not get to goal. However everyone is different! I've read some folks who are doing all the right things just tend to stall out for a long time, being 3 weeks or more. I'm not really sure the cause of this. I hope someone who's experienced this will chime in with some suggestions. For me, the only suggestions I have are pretty simple, stay away from sugar, sodium and get lots of Water. LOTS!! I drink a gallon a day. Also, doing some kind of workout routine will really help to boost the metabolism. I workout an hour every morning before work... I feel its no different than brushing my teeth. I certainly wouldn't leave the house without doing that. If you have to, do basic basics. Eat only Proteins and green veggies for a few days. I don't suggest doing this for more than 5 days. I'm huge believer in eating some form of carbohydrates, especially if you are working out. Good luck! PS, this is my opinion only. This is how I got to goal - if it doesn't help you perhaps it can help someone else who is reading this thread.
  6. I dealt with some anorexia and bulimia when I was younger, so I have to really watch out for this. I'm thinking I'm being much more healthy about my weight loss this time around rather than back then. My lean body mass weighs almost 118 Lbs according to the Bod Pod. I checked with the caliper tests and it says roughly the same results. That said, being 5'7 back in High School I was weighing as little as 135 Lbs. Can you imagine? I was sickly thin and grossly malnourished. Once I'm completely healed from all my recent traumas I will probably be around the low 160's including the 6 Lbs of silicone in my chest. So, that would place me in the high 150's. For me and my frame, I feel that is quite thin enough. I do not plan to go out of my way to lose anymore weight at all. I do have fleeting moments however where I'll look in the mirror and still see me as overweight. I'm serious, and it does scare me a little bit. It flashes my feelings from when I was younger and my desire to keep going. There's no way I should, for goodness sakes I fitted a zero last night. What I'm saying is, anorexic/bulimic me tries to stir the pot a little bit and I have to realize it's simply all untrue what she tries to tell me. I am seriously considering discussing this with a professional as well. I don't think there is anything wrong with realizing you may need to sort a few things out in the ole brain. Anyway, sorry for the rambling - I jus thought I'd share my own personal experience with this.

What Is Sugar Doing To Me?

I'm not sure exactly what it might be, but I'd say it's most likely the yogurt. Lots of us sleevers will get lactose intolerance post op. I did! Though not so much with yogurt, but milk made me sick really bad. Also, it could be the sugar too. If I have more than 15g per sitting, I get sick as well. Sorry you're not feeling well. I suggest trial and error, take a list of everything you're eating. Space out the sugar and the dairies and write down how each makes you feel. You'll find your culprit eventually.

    Back To Work Post-op

I went back to work exactly 3 weeks post op. It wasnt a big deal, I just dealt with some fatigue. I was able to take power naps during my breaks since my office has a first aid room (sweet!). The fatigue lasted for about 6 weeks post. Good luck!!!

    Friends & Family

For me, I only told anyone who had a real interest in my life or death and I think 2 very close friends. That was it. I just wanted to do this journey on my own without the scrutiny that comes with WLS. I didn't want all eyes on me, folks wondering how much I've lost or my eating habits... or any of that. It was none of their business, but that's just me and my point of view. If anyone wants to tell everyone, great. If not, well great too. The negative stories are bound to come up eventually if you tell enough people. You just have to be strong enough to ignore these because in the end, no one has to live in your skin but you. I get though your hurt because this is someone you entrusted. I totally get that. I also told 2 of my closest friends and I would've been really hurt if they responded like this. I'm thankful they didn't, but I can imagine it's painful when it does happen. All I can offer are hugs hon, and just come get your support from here. Besides, no one better knows us than US. I'm hopeful too that when she sees how amazing your results will be, she will then get on board and admit you did the right thing.

    My First 5k - Nsv

Fabulous!!! I admit, running is very addicting. Congrats on your first run, and especially for logging amazing times! Wow!!
  15. Wow that's very interesting. I've never heard of this before. I really don't have any suggestions except maybe try watering down the whole milk? Wow... I haven't drank whole milk since I was a kid.
  16. Fitted my Size Zero's last night. :)

  17. Thanks friends!!! I love this place :smile1: Just a little background here - this was made possible by my liposuction. That I have no doubt. Before I had it, I would've had to get crackhead skinny on top and possibly lose my behind in the process to achieve this. So - once again - THANK YOU LIPO SURGEON!!! He did phenomenally well. I'm so glad I chose him and didn't settle for the other surgeon at the establishment. It forced me to wait an additional month to book him, but it was one month worth trading in thats for sure!! I'm not trying to downplay this. I went through a lot of pain/bruising/emotional trauma during healing. It was tough - but the results are just out of this world. I'm very happy today and wow... this whole week has proven to me that I've reached my goal. Thanks Sassy :smile1: I'm so glad I didn't have to lose my booty to get here!! I guess vanity played a little part in all this. LOL!!! Meg, these are very tiny itty bitty jeans (my mind still has not caught up with this). I took a shot of them next to some Levi's Size 4 / 27 and my largest ever jeans size 28W. Levi's actually run small. The Levi's 4's that I really haven't tried on yet (maybe I should) that are matched up the same size. These NYDJ's are quite stretchy too. So... I guess it can be thought of in any way. For me though, I'll take it - vanity sizing or not (heehee)!!! It still says 0 on the tag!! :biggrinjester: Thanks for all your support!!! Xx Awww :smile1: Thank you Sue!! Xx I guess I'm pretty emotional over it too. This is a looong time coming!! 2 years of working my own weight loss, then 3 years of Lap band and now with 15 months of Sleeve and Lipo's... yeah... it's pretty incredible!! Yayyyy my dancing bananas!!! THANKS!!! Hi Sharon - thanks for the lovely compliment :smile1: Actually yes, the website I bought these jeans from do have these same ones in double and triple zero's too. I really doubt I'll ever get THAT far... but heck. I doubted I'd get HERE! So... with that... who knows? Really actually no. I didn't cry. Not sure why - I feel absolutely elated to say the least. They might just have not made their way in yet. I mean I should, considering it's taken me almost 6 years to get to this point. This is why I always stress all the time to NEVER GIVE UP and NEVER GIVE IN!! Keep fighting :boxing_smiley: until the wheels fall off because if you do, someday, some way you will hit your goals. LOL!! You totally made me chuckle with this! Thanks Kim, you've been such a blessing :smile1: Rock on sister!!

    Help from the Ladies

Is this for Christmas or just because? I'm telling you, the whole lighted Christmas tree back drop is always nice (at times square or the like). Or the top of a skyscraper deal. It might all seem cliche but MYSELF??? I'd love it. GOOOD LUCK!! Let us know how it all turns out.

Yep, I Dump - Maybe Tmi

You're not alone!!! I do too. I'm 15 months out and it still happens.
  22. My sleeve loves popcorn. My sleeve hates corn on the cob. My sleeve loves hamburger meat. My sleeve hates steak. My sleeve loves eggs. My sleeve hates pancakes. My sleeve loves Protein shakes. My sleeve hates real shakes. My sleeve love skinny me. My sleeve hates fat me.
  23. For me it was around month 4-5 that I was able to drink normally. What I mean by that is getting over 80 oz per day without much effort. Today I can drink a gallon without even thinking about it. I'm almost 15 month post op. Have patience with your tiny tummy. Wonderful things will be happening for you in your first 3-4 months. You're going to lose a LOT of weight. HUGS!!!
  24. 10 Lbs to your goal... WOW!!!! :)) Just sayin'... ;o)

  25. Khy, Yolanda, M2G & Raine - THANK YOU!!!!! I always say, I wouldn't be here if not for all of your support. And THAT'S the truth!!!
