Hi all I was banded on 30/09/13 and had 3 weeks off. First week hard but if I'm honest I could have gone back second week but mentally I wanted to prepare. Listen to your body, don't do anything too strenuous for a few weeks 6 wks for proper work outs my gp advised me. Don't worry and self care whenever you can. First week I sat up to sleep in the nights..... I've had my first fill and things are looking up... Keep Focused ...

Sarah RN482 - I'm so glad you posted this because I feel the same ... I was banded on 30 sept and I felt tender and little appetite then. Last week my hunger started and this week I could eat anything. I've been eating smooth porridge, crisps or if ur American chips, chocolate, crackers, pâté, broccoli, potatoe, cottage cheese, cake, mashed potatoe, these are the types of food but I could eat 4/or 5 times a day... My first fill is 31st oct and I cannot wait. I'm planning my food next week and have decided to get on protein shakes loads of people are losing weight with protein shakes. Good luck to us ... I feel same as u though .. -

Yeah same here... My scars are healing really well but tender to touch etc... My port area is the most tender. I took 3 weeks off work for physical and mental preparation before going back ... All I do is think of food. I paid a lot of money and even this is a struggle. I'm just waiting for the fill now ... 1st one on the 31st oct. I don't think my obsession for food will go just the ability to consume lots might. Keep me posted its nice to see another person banded on same day. And for our fears I think being overweight is a fear in its self so we just got to hope and get on withit as far as slippage etc. -

Good luck ... You will be fine. I was so nervous I thought I was going to pull out... Keep focused lots and lots of people go through this procedure every day. Start being mindful when u eat rather than reading or watching tv when you eat. Pause between mouthfuls or spoonfuls ... You'll be fine all the best ! -
