My plan says step 2 is clear non carbonated drinks jello or broth but didnt realize this until just an 1hour ago!!! I was getting down 2 oz like every 3 hours of ensure and sipping water thats about it this is more complicated than what i thought! Sorry of its tmi but did anyone had bm's?? Hello to.my fellow july 1st sleevers we made it!!! hoping all is well as far as my experience i was sleeved and had a hiatial hernia repair and i had a lipoma removal that was on my ribcage so far ive threwed up in the hospital until last night the pain meds and me not being able to tolarate anesthesia... blah! bad combo! Only on plain tylenol, pain is not as bad as i tought just being nauseated its the worst for me my csections were more painful than this im home now discharged at 2 pm now sipping on liquid as much as i can and lil sleepy hope again everyone is doing good well keep updating soon

Me too for 2 straight days i feel its the unknown and getting out safe

Hey everyone!! After a year of waiting and many setbacks i have a july 1st surgery day!!! Woo hoo! My doc lets us have low fat low cal or optional shake liquid diet and im doing a lil bit of both but ooops! i cheated once but got myself back on track not going to waste this past year for my cravings wich is what got me here in the first place soo glad theres some surgery buddies here for support! My best wishes for everybody well be fabulous soon! im doing this for my sons 11, 6 and 4 wich are the inspiration for everthing a do... lets stick together for support.karla

Hello sleevers! My name is karla im 29 and a mommy of 3 amazing boys i started this journey last year around this time thinking i wanted gastric bypass so started the whole.requirements needed it took me around 5 months to have everything done but the surgeons office was so unprofessional nothing was ever done with my paper work so last december finally im schedule for last appt before "surgery" and submit to insurance the office calls me 2 days before the appt to tell me the surgeon left the group and that i needed to look for another surgeon or switch to another surgeon from the bariatric group they were so insensitive un professional there was no way i was gonna stay there so i found another doctor they have been so nice and and helpful of my situation but to this day im.still waiting always abump.on the road im frustrated ,tired ,depressed and thinking is this meant to be? Should i kepp insisting on doing this? last i heard last week was that finally are submitting to insurance well see i gained all the weight that i.lost a year ago in my nut visits starting to loose again on my own but no motivation any advice? i appreciate your input thanks

Hello o hsve been jumping hoops almost a year and still no date im hoping for a april.may date fingers crosses ive been trough aloot my surgeon that i originally choose lef the practice needed to look for a new surgeon glad i did sooo much better team and he is has amazing reviews so thats good but in the mean time instead 3 month diet now is 6 months so have another 3 months to do wich i have feb and march left everybody plase let send good vibes to get the balls rolling but on the positive waiting has given me time to do more research and be more mentally prepared so positive toughts always my best wishes for all.of you! :-)

Any surgeon ideas? After 7 months of testing diets and wating u just got a letter from my surgeons office that he is leaving the bariatric group of wich he is the director!! That he is leaving (or fired??) anyway deperate lost confused discouraged you name it! Any ideas?? Help i dont have a dctor anymore! And i had all my trust in him! So pissed this crazy i had my last appt this dec 18 before surgery for preop liquid diet and he leaves now what. So sad! thanks everybody for reading my story

jill thanks for your post actually i am schedule for a seminar for yale on dec 16th talked to dr roberts office and I'm excited they will be taking my case after the other ordeal so hopefully ill be a yale patient soon and keep on moving

My name is karla i live in middletown ct and right now after 8 months if testings and diet i got a letter from my surgeon that he is abruptly leaving im devastated since i had all my faith in him and his work now i dont know what to do any advice? I was supposed to see him on december 18th for liquid preop diet this is so discouraging i really dont know where to got from here or any new doctors that can tk my case help!

Hello everyone my name is karla and im from connecticut i have been a member of fellow sister forum rny talk looking for experiences and points of view about wls i started preop process in april and still dont have a date but working on it so far i havent made my mind yet as to what procedure is the right one for me i was settled on bypass but when i met with the surgeon talks to me bout the sleeve and now im confused he said he leaves the descion to the patient he can only reccomend and he thinks in my case i can have good results with the sleeve instead if going all the way with bypass im just scared of making the wrong the desicion since im so insecure when it comes to desicions so im really looking for advice or why did u decide to go for this procedure vs bypass i woul appreciate your input thanks!! I thank all of you to take time to reply and and for your great advice i was so settled on bypass but honestly it scares me the malabsorbtion and the rerouting thanks again i have to make a desicion soon so i have to keep researching but your advice and all the stories i have read so far are helping me big time to make up my mind

Omg great thread i also have been having this i am a cereal and taco bell junkie a have lost 16 pounds since i started with the nut now im done seeing her and im falling off the wagon my surgeon wants me to lose 20 the least before surgery and omg so hard i think that i was pumped and following the diet excercised and all that but i have been discouraged since i have so much preop stuff to do and jump so many hoops and i still dont have a date yet i need eyes on the prize cause if not all of my sacrifice is gonna go down the drain hope i can make it on my own until the surgery need to lose this weight show that i can do it best of luck everyone
