30 minutes on the elliptical and another 20 or so on the bike. I took advantage of the short time I had and I am glad I went!

Didn't have a lot of time today but did a quick mile run on the treadmill at the Y while my daughter took her swim lessons. I contemplated not trying to do it but a good friend said moving is moving no matter how long or short. Felt better after I did it so I am glad I followed through!

Brand New Bandster here Sparta NJ
MissD81 replied to Wendydarling19's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Hi there! Deanna from Parsippany NJ banded Sept 20, 2013 by Dr. Pucci at Englewood hospital. Glad to hear you are doing well. Welcome! -
I went to the gym for the first time in over a year and a half. I have really only done limited exercise over the last few months and it has been more than a year and a half since I have done any running. Today I was able to run a half mile, walk a lap and then run another half mile. It felt great and was so good to get back on the wagon. My plan is to try and get to the gym at least two days a week right now (my schedule is so booked with work, my second job and my daughter) and then work up to more when I can. Feeling motivated!

Over an hour today shoveling snow with my trusty shovel! Did my driveway, the neighbors and the neighbors walkway. This snow is killing me but it is good exercise!

Not at my final weight, but on my way. I have had this shirt for over a year, given to me by a colleague and the coach of my school's field hockey team, and I could not wear it until now! -

This is a picture of me, my daughter and my wonderful boyfriend at his brother's wedding this past August. This was about one month before my surgery. -
Over the last week or so I have started to feel my port more often. I can feel it through my skin and feel it when I am moving around. I just started working out and it feels uncomfortable as I move. Is this more that I am not used to it or should I call my doctor? I had such a bad experience with anesthesia during my surgery I do not want to do anything that will cause me to have to go through it again. Could it be the type of exercise? I have started doing Zumba and that is a lot of twisting and moving. Any thoughts would be great. Thank you!

I called the doctor and he said that it is normal to feel it and it is normal that it might feel uncomfortable or sore when I work out. He suggested tylenol and an ice pack. It is just such a wierd feeling!

I was banded just over two months ago. In the beginning I just stuck with basic walking when I could, but decided to start working my way into some more cardio. I love Zumba and figured I should start with something I love so as not to get discouraged. It is just such a wierd feeling. Not exactly painful but uncomfortable. I am going to give a call in to my doctor just to be sure. Thanks!

What Is The Difference Between A Pb And Sliming?
MissD81 replied to MissD81's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Thank you very much! -
I am about two months post op and had my first really bad stuck episode today. I know it was because I ate too quickly. I know PB is a productive burb but what is sliming? Also, how bad is it that pretty much what I ate came back up (not violently) but it did? Thanks in advance and thank you for all the great discussions on this forum. This is my first post, but I have been following the boards since my lapband surgery in September and it has been very helpful!
