Just make healthy food choices and you will do awesome puravida. You're growing a human so you have to get bigger but once your pregnancy is over you'll get the excess weight off in no time. -
I've only had it once thankfully. I made my chilli with to many spices and my body let me know that it wasn't healed enough for that yet. I haven't really been able to do much exercising because of my mother's death and then battling a terrible sinus infection. Hoping to get out and walk this weekend in the 50 degree weather and spend some time at the gym or the pool.

Congrats puravida. I'm so happy for you. I'm happy to be on stage 3 foods again. Scrambled eggs for breakfast:) -
I hope everyone else is doing great too.

I'm officially on stage 3 foods!!!! I'm down 12 pounds since surgery. I'm happy and my doctor is very happy. I go back in a month instead of in 2 weeks like most of his patients. I think I'll try scrambled eggs for breakfast.

I am down 12 pounds since the 15th. I know the sleeve was a good idea. I also lost my mom on the 19th so I'm sure that has contributed to my loss also. This Christmas is hard but I'm sticking to the diet and trying to stay positive. Glad everyone else is doing good. Hang in there we will make it through the holidays. -
Thanks everyone.

I'm not doing well on stage 2 foods right now. I have only been able to drink a little protein shake and some water most of the day. I have been stressed and devastated since Friday when I lost my mother during open heart surgery. I know she would yell at me for not trying to eat like I'm supposed to so I'm going to try to do better tomorrow.

Myssjones try drinking warm drinks or broths it helps the gas come out.
-
Mroth28 try a heading pad for the pain. After the lap band and now the sleeve my heating pad is my best friend. Helps with pain and with gas pain. Gas should be fine in a couple more days. Walking and heat really helps. Hang in there everyone we will make it through.

Headed home. I have only had very little pain, but gas bubbles are the worst. Can't wait for the rest to work its way out.
-
Hope your surgery is on time grandma 2 tweeties. Mine was delayed a hour and a half. Sleep is good right after surgery and when they get you up to sit in the chair will help get the gas up. Warm drinks help when allowed to.
-
Good luck to everyone having surgery today. I'm praying your pain is minimal like mine so far.
-
Davis glad to hear your doing well too.

Hi everyone. I finally broke down and hit my morphine button. Feeling pretty good add long as I don't move around much. When I do I feel a gas bubble. Not sure if they'll get me up tonight or not. I'm just laying here relaxing and getting leg massages from my booties. I'm also feeling hungry. Can't wait for liquids tomorrow.
-
I'm doing good. Feel like I have a hangover. Been napping on and off for about an hour and the hangover feeling is starting to go away. Hope everyone is doing well. Can't wait till we can start doing our shot glasses of fluids tomorrow. 1 oz every 15 minutes.

Thanks grandma2tweeties. Good luck tomorrow chicarossi.

I'm waiting to get my iv then I'm already for surgery. I'm also starving. When you know your not allowed is when you really want it.
-
Hey is there anyone else getting their surgery at Bothwell hospital tomorrow?
-
I'm sure it won't mess up your surgery. There are some doctors that allow one healthy meal a day while on the presurgery diet.
-
I'm with you rich1946 my surgery is at 11 am have to be at the hospital at 9. I'm actually doing well on the diet since I've done it before. Just drink your protein and your fluids throughout the day. I've also found that the broth from chicken noodle soup keeps me feeling full longer than just regular broth cause it has flavor.

I just found out that a friend is of that day and will take me. He is going to be getting bypass surgery as soon as he can. So this way he'll kinda know what to expect for his surgery. I'm glad I'll have someone to keep me company since my surgery isn't until 11 am and I'm sure I'll have to be there a couple hours before. I'm counting down the days until I'll be able to eat food again. I'm really craving a salad.

Just found out that I'm going to have to drive myself to surgery on Monday. Oh what fun. No one to wait with me or be there after surgery cause my mother is having surgery the same day at a different hospital.

I am using EAS complete protein. I bought it at Walmart and it has 25 grams per serving. The chocolate tastes like chocolate cake batter.
