Arch you are bigger than you were pre surgery. You've been pumped full of gas and liquids. After five days I was laying on my non port side. Gas pain went away on day 5 as well. It gets much better and seems to happen quickly.

Hey BDP, my story is very similar so I feel ya. I was thick in highschool, then hefty, then chunky. When I was 21 my dad was diagnosed with cancer. How could my hero have cancer?? Anyway, fast forward three years and three different bouts with cancer he finally passed. At this point I was fat. I went from 220 to 290. Fast forward two more years and I was obese. Tipped the scale at 367. I hated it. Yo Yo dieted for a few years and ended up getting down to 300. Fast forward a couple of more years, a recession, a baby, dissolving a business, starting another business, all the financial hell you can think of and I was back to 330. Losing weight in your twenties seems easy compared to losing in your thirties. I finally lost some and just had enough. I could tell the weight was negatively effecting me and my doc got tires of me bitching all the time. Now I'm a few days on the other side and can already tell a huge difference in how my body feels. Congrats on making such a life changing decision. Stay connected on here. There is an amazing group willing to help.

So how we all doing? I'm off my pain pills and was actually able to get three hours sleep last night!!!! Yaaaaa! Ya right. I'm dog tired. Not sure why I couldn't sleep. I'm thinking it could be all the supplements and stuff I'm taking but not sure. Had a great day overall. Incisions seem to be healing beautifully. Only pain I have left which isn't even really pain is just my port area. It reminded me all day today of what I had done.

My sentiments exactly. My opinion but I think we should go back to the constitution and the bill of rights. Throw all the amendments and other crap in the trash and start over. Until they take the politics out of politics all children will just continue to suffer. Why do I need my government to tell me who I can see and who I can't? They don't tell me how to live my life so why should they have control of the side effects?? Simplify the billing and make it to where a doc doesn't feel like he's gonna be sued by every patient and that will be good enough for me.

Do tell. What recipe might that be??? I have a few up my sleeve. I actually love my shakes and have not missed food one bit. Shakes will definitely be the constant in my diet for a long time.

How awesome is it to have a forum where people can go and talk about gas, burping, flatulence and BM's and actually get supported and congratulated on it. Doesn't it tell you something about our president when he so selfishly named a program supposedly for the people after himself. Even if it was the greatest plan around people would still hate it just cause of the name.

What worked for me was to kinda turn and get my legs out first and on the ground while I was still laying down. I would slide down a but to where the middle of my back was on the edge then I would use my arms and legs to push me up instead of using my abs. Wasnt easy at first though. Gets better.

I started in April. Banded in September. Honestly didn't seem that long.

Sounds like you've had a heck of a day. Sucks about the thrush but that's good news on the biopsy results. Hopefully you'll get to enjoy the extra few days off. I have to say, I think shakes for a month sounds more exciting than one sip of cherry mag!
